Introduction of corrosion-resistant specifications with a longer lifespan than painting.

Electrochemically protect the base material! We propose a long-lasting anti-corrosion coating that won't rust for 100 years.

If you are looking for a longer lifespan than conventional painting, we recommend a process that combines thermal spraying and painting. Thermal spraying is a technique that involves melting metals such as zinc or aluminum (JIS H 8300), which are less noble than iron, and spraying them onto a surface to create a coating. Unlike painting, which protects by blocking air, this method provides electrochemical protection to the base material. Additionally, it is possible to apply an effective metallic coating of any thickness to any location without causing distortion from heat, and on-site work can also be performed. 【Features of Thermal Spraying】 ■ More resistant to peeling from bending and vibration compared to painting ■ Significantly reduces the generation of VOCs ■ Allows for the application of effective metallic coatings of any thickness to any location ■ No distortion from heat ■ On-site work can also be performed *For more details, please refer to the external link or feel free to contact us.

Addressing concerns that could not be solved with plating or lining! Applications of thermal spraying.

Surface treatment technology aimed at extending the life of products and equipment! Here are some examples of applications.

"Thermal spraying" is a technique that involves heating coating materials such as ceramics, metals, and cermets, and then colliding them with the substrate surface at high speeds in a molten or semi-molten state to form a coating. By thermally spraying materials like ceramics and cermets (composite materials of ceramics and metals), it is possible to dramatically increase resistance to wear. Additionally, it is possible to enhance corrosion resistance, improve grip, impart non-stick and electrical insulation properties, and perform buildup repairs without thermal distortion. [Examples of Applications] ■ Wear Resistance - By thermally spraying materials such as ceramics and cermets, it is possible to dramatically increase resistance to wear. ■ Corrosion Resistance - It is possible to protect substrates from thermal oxidation corrosion at high temperatures and various corrosive environments. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Plasma (PLASMA) spraying - Ceramic spraying

Extending life and longevity through ceramic thermal spraying.

"Thermal spraying" refers to a technology that involves heating materials such as metals or ceramics, turning them into fine particles, and spraying them onto the surface of a substrate using a high-temperature, high-pressure gas flow or plasma. This process allows for the imparting of properties such as wear resistance, corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and thermal insulation to the surface of the substrate. Broadly, thermal spraying can be divided into two categories: one aimed at "high functionality," such as wear resistance, corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and rust prevention, and the other aimed at "repair and regeneration" of worn parts. Thermal spraying has a wide range of applications as a surface treatment technology and contributes to the enhancement of product functionality and the extension of service life. Plasma thermal spraying - ceramic thermal spraying is a type of thermal spraying technology that generates high-temperature plasma gas using electrical energy, melting or softening the material within it and spraying it onto the substrate. It is particularly suitable for coating high-melting-point materials such as ceramics, forming coatings with high adhesion and durability.

Ultra-high-speed frame thermal spraying (HP-HVOF spraying) - cermet spraying

What is ultra-high-speed frame thermal spraying (HP-HVOF spraying) - cermet spraying?

"Thermal spraying" is a technique that involves heating materials such as metals or ceramics, turning them into fine particles, and spraying them onto the surface of a substrate using a high-temperature, high-pressure gas flow or plasma. This process allows for the imparting of properties such as wear resistance, corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and thermal insulation to the surface of the substrate. Broadly, thermal spraying can be divided into two categories: one aimed at "high functionality" such as wear resistance, corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and rust prevention, and the other aimed at "repair and regeneration" of worn components. Thermal spraying has a wide range of applications as a surface treatment technology and contributes to improving product functionality and extending lifespan. "HP-HVOF thermal spraying" is one type of thermal spraying technology that utilizes a high-speed, high-temperature gas flow generated by mixing oxygen and fuel and combusting it under high pressure, primarily used for spraying coating materials such as cermets. Therefore, it is also referred to as cermet spraying. It is particularly used to form high-density and high-strength coatings, making it suitable for imparting properties such as wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and heat resistance. It is widely used in fields that require precise and high-performance coatings, playing a crucial role especially in components and structures used in harsh environments.

Wet and dry (CVD, PVD, thermal spraying, etc.) Various proposals!

Comprehensive proposals for coatings that are not limited by membrane types or methods!

Do you have any of these troubles? We propose membrane types and methods suitable for your challenges and applications (wet, dry (CVD, PVD, thermal spraying, etc.)) ● There is a theme of "extending the lifespan of equipment components" and "extending the lifespan of production consumables." ↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓ ● There are costs and risks associated with switching the components themselves, so we want to consider coatings. ↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓ ● There are many coating manufacturers, and it's difficult to know where to consult. It’s challenging to consider the level of precision each manufacturer can achieve.

HVOF thermal spraying (High Velocity Oxy-Fuel spraying)

High-speed jet frame spraying using oxygen and fuel.

◆◇◆ What is HVOF Thermal Spraying ◆◇◆ It stands for High Velocity Oxygen Fuel. It refers to thermal spraying using a high-speed jet flame created by oxygen and fuel. A mixture of high-pressure oxygen and fuel gas is burned in a combustion chamber. The combustion flame is constricted by a nozzle, and the moment it exits into the atmosphere, a rapid gas expansion occurs, resulting in a supersonic jet. The thermal spray material accelerated by high kinetic energy forms a high-density coating with minimal oxidation or compositional changes.

Decompression thermal spraying

Decompression thermal spraying is a plasma spraying method conducted in a controlled inert gas atmosphere.

◆◇◆ What is Vacuum Plasma Spraying ◆◇◆ Vacuum plasma spraying is a plasma spraying method conducted in a controlled inert gas atmosphere. As the substrate's residual heat temperature and the temperature during spraying increase, the flight speed of the particles also becomes very fast, resulting in higher coating density and stronger bonding. Due to the high temperatures of both the substrate and the spraying process, the melted particles do not solidify rapidly upon contact with the substrate in a vacuum. Compared to atmospheric spraying, the molten state of the particles lasts longer, allowing for seamless spraying on substrates with irregular shapes.

Rocaid thermal spraying

Oxide ceramics such as aluminum oxide, zirconium oxide, and chromium oxide can be sprayed.

◆◇◆ What is Localized Thermal Spraying (Rod-Type Frame Spraying) ◆◇◆ Ceramic rods are continuously supplied and melted in an oxygen-acetylene flame, and then atomized into fine particles by compressed air and continuously sprayed. Oxide ceramics such as aluminum oxide, zirconium oxide, and chromium oxide can be sprayed. Since only fully melted materials are sprayed, the sprayed coating does not contain unmelted particles, resulting in a high bonding strength between particles, which leads to a relatively tough coating.

Wire arc thermal spraying

Thermal spraying onto φ500 rolls! The thickness of the thermal spray coating can be selected over a wide range (0.1 to 10mm).

This is an introduction to Kōei Techno System's "Wire Arc Thermal Spraying," which focuses on the repair, regeneration, extension of life, and maintenance of parts, aiming for high-quality parts, wear resistance, heat resistance, and anti-corrosion, similar to preventive medicine, through advanced research and development of machinery. It is a type of representative gas thermal spraying method, where wire-shaped spraying materials are continuously fed into a combustion flame generated by oxygen-acetylene or oxygen-propane, melting them, and forming a film by projecting the atomized molten particles with compressed air. As spraying materials, metals that can be processed into wire shapes range from low melting point materials like zinc and aluminum to carbon steel, stainless steel, and molybdenum. Ceramics and cermet materials, which are difficult to wire shape, are filled into flexible tubes and sprayed. ● Thermal spraying on φ500 rolls ⇒ Photo 1 *For more details, please download the catalog or contact us.
