Evaluation of the relationship between equipment management using data mining and IoT technology and quality.

Recommended technical proposal for customers considering the measurement of the effectiveness of predictive maintenance and equipment management operations, as well as quality improvement! Utilizing large-scale data and machine learning as well!

This document explains, based on our company's implementation results and experience, the necessary considerations for threshold discussions that inevitably arise when conducting predictive maintenance, as well as what indicators should be used when considering and implementing predictive maintenance. Additionally, we focus on the analysis of causal relationships with quality-related issues, which we have received many inquiries about in recent years, in conjunction with equipment maintenance. When building IoT and predictive maintenance systems, it is essential to start with a system that is around 60 to 70 points in completeness, rather than aiming for a perfect 100-point system from the beginning, and to gradually improve the system towards the desired state. This document introduces some of the essence of that approach.

Analysis of environmental emissions of chemicals considering ecosystem impacts.

Have you considered the chemical emissions taking into account the impact on ecosystems?

Chemicals emitted into the environment as a result of business activities or the use of products can potentially impact ecosystems. This service evaluates the weighted emissions of chemicals based on the latest reliable information on individual chemicals' toxicity. For example, it helps identify which chemicals released from business sites should be prioritized for emission reduction or substitution, considering their impact on foundational ecosystem components such as phytoplankton, zooplankton, and fish. By advancing initiatives based on these toxicity evaluations, it becomes possible to transform business activities into ones that exert less pressure on ecosystems. The results of such initiatives can be quantitatively presented to citizens and shareholders as part of the company's environmental activities. The information published in the related links is based on analyses using regional emission data, but similar analyses can also be conducted at the facility or corporate level. Additionally, it is possible to calculate impacts on human health, allowing for a multifaceted evaluation. Support for alternative considerations (such as whether the toxicity of substitute substances is not too high or whether they are not prone to environmental leakage) is also available.

Low-cost chemical safety assessment

Leave it to us for affordable and rapid chemical toxicity assessments!

At the Yokohama National University Environmental Safety Engineering Laboratory, which is the origin of our organization, we have been handling toxicity information for many years. In this service, we utilize the accumulated toxicity information and know-how to conduct safety evaluations without performing precise individual analyses, taking into account the physical properties of chemical substances, reliable toxicity information, and the conditions at the site of chemical use. Depending on your requests and the substances being evaluated, it is also possible to conduct evaluations based on simplified analysis results from the field. Please make use of this for screening evaluations in environments where chemical substances are handled.

Evaluation of Digital Metal's manufacturing capabilities by the Technical University of Denmark.

We would like to introduce the excellent hole processing capabilities of Digital Metal. As an example of an application with holes, we recommend nozzles.

This paper introduces the 3D printing capabilities of the Technical University of Denmark. The paper states that when creating channels (internal flow paths or holes), L-PBF may lead to shape and surface deviations at overhangs due to the formation of dross (from molten metal), while binder jetting (BJ), which does not melt powder particles during the process, may have the potential to overcome this issue. Characterization of channels made by laser powder bed fusion and binder, 2020-07-15 Authors: T. Dahmen* et al. * Technical University of Denmark Paper Summary: - Stainless steel test specimens were created with holes of 2mm diameter at angles from 0 to 90 degrees in 15-degree increments. - The comparison included two types of L-PBF and two types of BJ, including Digital Metal. - BJ achieved high precision and surface quality regardless of hole angle compared to L-PBF. - The precision of Digital Metal corresponds to ISO IT13-14 (equivalent to drilling, die casting, and forging). Please contact us if you have any questions.
