Basic Knowledge of Plastic: What is ABS?
Synthetic resin made by mixing three chemical substances! It began with commercialization in 1954.
ABS is a synthetic resin made by mixing three chemical substances: acrylonitrile, butadiene, and styrene, which are represented by the initials of these three chemicals. Its history dates back to 1954 when it was commercialized by the American company US Rubber. The manufacturing methods include a graft method where styrene and acrylonitrile are copolymerized in the presence of polybutadiene, and a blend method where an acrylonitrile-butadiene copolymer is blended with a styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer. 【Features】 ■ Mixture of three chemical substances: acrylonitrile, butadiene, and styrene ■ Originated in 1954 when it was commercialized by the American company US Rubber ■ Manufacturing methods: graft type, blend type *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
