The 'RT 100 R', optimized for machining gray cast iron and ductile cast iron, features a cutting-edge radiused point shape patented by Gooling. By shaping the corners into a radius, it excels in wear resistance and achieves a longer lifespan compared to conventional products. Additionally, it accommodates machining of relatively new materials such as CGI (Compact Graphite Iron) and ADI (Austempered Ductile Iron), which are increasingly in demand in the automotive industry. In through-hole machining, it suppresses burrs on the exit side.
