Teratec Construction Report: Factory

Solving your factory problems! Introducing "TerraTech" case studies for subsidence correction and void filling.

We would like to introduce a case where problems caused by subsidence and voids in a factory were resolved by Teratech. [Problem] In a steel processing factory located in Ibaraki Prefecture, the concrete floor sank by about 3.4 cm. Although the factory had not been in operation for long, subsidence occurred, causing issues with the laser processing machine purchased for steel processing, which could no longer operate according to the specifications. For precision machines like laser processing machines, having a level floor is crucial for normal operation. [Reasons for Choosing Teratech] - Work can be carried out without stopping operations. - The work can be completed in a short time. [Feedback After Construction] "We were planning to readjust the level of the laser processing machine after this construction, but the floor correction was done so well beyond our expectations that the processing machine is now operating normally. We were very relieved that the planned budget of 1 million yen for the laser level adjustment was no longer necessary," we received words of gratitude. In addition, we also introduce resolution cases from packaging material manufacturing factories. *For more details, please refer to the external link page or feel free to contact us.

[Construction Example] Bag Manufacturing Factory: Floor Slab Settlement Correction Work and Underfloor Void Filling Work

The machine's level cannot be secured, and spacers are being used. A malfunction has occurred in the machine, affecting product accuracy. This can be resolved with the up-con method.

This time, we will introduce a case study of a bag manufacturing factory in Miyagi Prefecture. Due to the impact of the Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred in March 2011, the floor sank, causing the machines to tilt and hindering production. The Upcon method was adopted because it allows for quick corrections without moving the machines. "We cannot secure the level of the machines and are using spacers." "Malfunctions have occurred in the machines, affecting product accuracy." We receive many inquiries about floor repairs like these at Upcon every day. The feature of the Upcon method is that it can correct floor subsidence in a short time, but another significant advantage is that it does not require the movement of machines or materials for construction. [Site Information] Miyagi Prefecture, Bag Manufacturing Factory Construction Area: Approximately 730 square meters Maximum Subsidence: 111mm Construction Period: 3 days For more details about the construction process, you can view it by downloading the PDF below.

【Warehouse/Factory】Correcting floor tilt, unevenness, and voids under the floor in as little as one day.

[Factory/Warehouse] Correcting the tilt of concrete floors and voids beneath the floor caused by ground subsidence in as little as one day without stopping operations! Patented unique method!

■The cargo in the warehouse is not stacked straight. ■There are uneven surfaces that hinder the movement of forklifts. ■The equipment, such as racks, is tilted. ■Abnormal operation is observed in the automatic racks. ■The transport robot has stopped. ■The level of the machinery cannot be secured. The patented unique method called [Upcon Method] uses polyurethane resin to resolve issues caused by floor tilting, unevenness, and sagging due to earthquakes or ground subsidence, as well as voids formed under the floor, with corrections possible in as little as one day. [What is the Upcon Method?] By injecting polyurethane resin into existing concrete floors that have subsided, it compresses and strengthens the ground with pressure that expands in a short time while pushing up the concrete floor for correction. Since it corrects without demolishing the existing concrete floor, it significantly reduces construction time. The polyurethane can lift the floor with an expansion pressure of up to 10 tons per square meter, eliminating the need to move heavy equipment or products. Therefore, corrections can be made without stopping the operations of factories or warehouses. ▼We will exhibit at the [International Logistics Comprehensive Exhibition 2024]. Date: September 10 (Tuesday) to 13 (Friday), 2024 Venue: Tokyo Big Sight, East Exhibition Hall Booth Number: 7-808

Purification of soil and groundwater contamination using the Sukkara-Kan method.

Purification of soil and groundwater contamination using the Sukkarakan method.

The Sukkarakan Method (hereinafter referred to as the SKK Method) is a technology that applies the Super Well Point Method (hereinafter referred to as the SWP Method), which is a groundwater lowering technique. It is utilized for "ground improvement" and "purification of soil and groundwater contamination" as a technology for recovering groundwater and underground air. In the purification of soil and groundwater contamination, it is positioned as an in-situ purification technology that recovers and treats harmful volatile substances such as benzene (including oil components) and VOCs from the ground. ◎ For more details, please download and view the catalog.

Paper on the SKK Method

Improvement of soil quality in soft excavation soil using the gap water suction method (SKK method).

The "Tajiri District Drainage Channel No. 3 Construction" is a project to construct a road tunnel with an excavation length of 134 meters, located in the Tajiri Takaya area of Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture, near the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line. The tunnel will be built using an open-cut method with an excavation width of approximately 30 meters and a depth of about 15 meters. Due to concerns about insufficient trafficability and worsening construction conditions during soil removal, the project employs the SKK method, which combines the Super Well Point (SWP) method with suction pipes to improve soil quality by extracting pore water and underground air from the soft ground, thereby addressing these issues. The "Paper on the SKK Method" reports the results of confirming the applicability of the SKK method for soil improvement through trial construction and actual construction. [Contents] - Overview of the SKK Method - Confirmation of soil improvement effects through on-site trial construction - Application results of the SKK Method (verification in actual construction) For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

Overview of the A&S Method

Low cost, shortened construction period! Apply compressive force to weak ground to increase strength.

The "A&S Method" is a consolidation dewatering method that adds embankment to the ground improvement method "SKK Method," which enhances the groundwater recovery capacity. Since the ground that has been vaporized under vacuum has minimal subsidence as it is, compressed air is sent to the sand layer surface using a large compressor, generating uplift pressure from the air pressure. The step-type Qin-TAKO compresses the cohesive soil directly and uniformly. By reducing the water content ratio through air blowing and then vaporizing the entire area under vacuum, compression subsidence is achieved due to atmospheric pressure and embankment weight. The reduction in water content ratio and compression subsidence can increase the strength of the ground. 【Features】 ■ Low cost ■ Short construction period (approximately 3 months) ■ No restrictions on construction speed during embankment *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.
