What are the reasons for the shift from metal to CFRP?

CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastic), which is attracting attention from various industries. What makes it so amazing? We will answer such questions.

**Main Benefits of Using CFRP** - It is lightweight and has excellent specific strength, leading to labor-saving in manufacturing lines. This also allows for a reduction in CO2 emissions through lower energy costs. - It has excellent vibration damping properties, which improves productivity through increased speed and precision in conveying devices. - It has a low thermal expansion rate, resulting in minimal degradation of functional properties even at high temperatures. - It has excellent X-ray permeability, allowing for clear images to be captured with minimal exposure and irradiation. For example, in arms for conveying devices, productivity can be improved by up to 30%. Replacing metal with CFRP enables weight reduction, decreased deflection, and improved vibration damping. As for our past production achievements, we have worked on: Aircraft interior and exterior parts, radar domes, Interior and exterior parts for two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles, competitive bicycle parts, Arms for conveying devices, semiconductor manufacturing equipment parts, Medical devices, audio parts, and more. At TIP composite, we leverage our years of accumulated knowledge and experience to provide consistent production from design and analysis to manufacturing, inspection, and shipping, in order to meet the quality our customers demand. We encourage you to consider the various benefits of using CFRP.

Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic / CFRP

It combines lightweight, high strength, and conductivity.

Advanced Composite Materials (ACM) is one of the most notable materials among advanced composites. It is manufactured by molding and processing carbon fibers with matrix resins such as epoxy and polyimide, and it is also a material designed according to the type, orientation, and combination of carbon fibers to meet specific applications and required characteristics. Its features leverage anisotropy and heterogeneity to provide advantages such as: - Lightweight (about 1/5 of steel) - High rigidity (about twice that of steel) - High strength (equivalent to or greater than steel) - High thermal conductivity (1/2 to 1/3 of steel) - Low thermal expansion (1/10 of steel) - Conductivity - X-ray transparency For more details, please contact us.

Supports up to 2 meters! For those struggling with large plate processing [Large Machining Processing]

Even if the shape is simple, are you facing issues with processing because it cannot be placed on a machine? Our company can handle processing up to 1000×2000!

In order to quickly bring products to the production base, before mass production, we must confirm the design (mechanism, function, material, durability testing), check productivity, and clear technical challenges, making the use of a "working model" as a product prototype indispensable. To repeatedly conduct extremely important tests, high dimensional accuracy in processing and thorough quality control are required. Since its founding, Art Winds has accumulated various know-how related to cutting processing through consistent efforts. Furthermore, we pursue processing technologies that are one step ahead of the times, promoting the introduction of the latest equipment, including 5-axis machining centers. By examining every angle, from technology to materials, we optimize precision processing for both resin and metal machining. We strive to provide our customers with high-precision products quickly and ensure quality. [Features] ■ Capable of handling from one piece ■ Capable of handling up to 2 meters *For more details, please download or contact us.

CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastic) products

CFRP, also known as dry carbon, produced using the "autoclave method" or "vacuum bag method"!

We would like to introduce our "CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) products." We mainly handle CFRP, also known as dry carbon, which is produced using the "autoclave method" or the "vacuum bag method." Prepreg sheets are stacked in a mold and formed, with several atmospheres of pressure applied in a high-temperature furnace to cure the resin. After that, trimming and drilling are done to achieve the specified shape. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Technical Information: Hot Press Molding

Good transparency, uniform thickness, and can be molded with a wooden mold! The pressing pressure can be partially adjusted.

Hot press molding involves heating resin sheets to soften them, using male and female molds, applying pressure with a press machine, and cooling them to solidify in the same shape, maintaining the shape at room temperature. Since molding is done using male and female molds without fixing the sheet, it allows for a more uniform thickness of the molded products compared to vacuum forming. Additionally, in most cases, molding can be done with inexpensive wooden molds. Therefore, it is suitable for small to medium lot production. 【Features】 ■ Can mold three-dimensional integrated products like vacuum forming ■ Uniform thickness with less variation compared to vacuum forming ■ Less prone to mold marks, suitable for transparent resins ■ Can be molded with inexpensive wooden molds instead of expensive metal molds *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
