A detailed explanation about Teflon lining.

We are currently providing detailed materials explaining the fluororesin lining, which is particularly excellent in chemical resistance among linings.

■What is Teflon Lining? Teflon is a trademark of Chemours, and generally refers to fluororesin lining. Fluororesin is particularly excellent in chemical stability among various lining materials. Therefore, it is widely used in fields such as chemicals, semiconductors, and pharmaceuticals, where heavy corrosion resistance and purity are required. ■One Type of Resin Lining Fluororesin lining is one type of "resin lining." Resin lining includes those using "polyethylene" and "nylon" resins, as well as "FRP lining," which combines glass fibers and resin. Among these, "fluororesin" is a material that is less susceptible to chemicals in harsh environments. ■Types of Fluororesin Lining Types of fluororesin lining include PTFE lining, PFA lining, and ETFE lining. Each lining requires appropriate selection based on the usage environment, construction method, and application. ■Main Fluororesin Lining Methods There are three main methods: - "Sheet Lining" - "Baked Coating" - "Roto Lining" *When considering lining, please check the materials and contact us.

I will introduce the characteristics of different types of fluororesins.

I will explain nine types of fluororesins.

List of 9 Representative Fluororesins ■PTFE Also known as polytetrafluoroethylene or tetrafluoroethylene, it is a white fluororesin with excellent sliding properties, non-stick characteristics, chemical resistance, and electrical properties. ■FEP A melt-processable perfluoropolymer developed after PTFE, it is a copolymer of TFE and hexafluoropropylene (HFP). Although its continuous use temperature is inferior to that of PTFE, it excels in moldability and non-stick properties. ■PFA A fluororesin developed to lower the melt viscosity while maintaining heat resistance equivalent to PTFE. It is a copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) and perfluorovinyl ether (PFVE). ■ETFE A copolymer of TFE and ethylene, it is partially fluorinated. While it has excellent processability, its heat resistance and chemical resistance are lower compared to the above three types since it is not a perfluoropolymer.

Causes of Teflon coating peeling and how to address them.

Teflon coating, which is widely used on frying pans and hot plates, will be explained regarding the causes of peeling and how to address them.

Teflon coating is applied to frying pans and hot plates to prevent sticking. This explains the causes of peeling and how to address them. ■ Causes of Peeling Teflon is a brand name for fluoropolymer. Fluoropolymer is a type of plastic, making it softer and more prone to scratches compared to metal. The continuous use temperature is also lower, at up to 260°C, compared to metal. Therefore, simply scraping with a metal spatula or scrubbing hard with an abrasive sponge can cause scratches and lead to peeling. Additionally, extreme high-temperature environments, such as dry heating, can cause degradation or decomposition, so caution is necessary. Use a spatula made of resin, clean with a soft sponge, and if using a neutral detergent, it is important to rinse thoroughly. Residual surfactants can make the surface more prone to sticking. ■ Solutions In principle, Teflon coatings and fluoropolymer coatings cannot be partially repaired. Therefore, if it is a frying pan, we recommend replacing it. For industrial parts, reprocessing for peeling may be considered. Please contact us regarding the peeling methods and suitable base materials. Teflon-coated products can be used for a long time depending on how they are used. We recommend utilizing their features effectively.

What non-stick (non-stick) coating is

Things won't stick! What is non-stick coating?

Non-stick means that things do not stick in English. Non-stick coatings, such as fluoropolymer coatings, can be referred to as non-stick coatings. In addition to fluoropolymers, coatings like silicone are also one type of non-stick treatment. In particular, silicone coatings may be appropriate for the release of sticky substances. MRS coating is a non-stick silicone coating that exhibits excellent release properties against sticky substances and adhesive tapes. <Features> - Smooth surface that demonstrates release properties even with sticky substances - Maintains water-repellent, oil-repellent, and slip properties even after wiping with solvents* *Varies by series Yoshida SKT offers a variety of non-stick coatings. New Possibilities of Thin Film Fluororesin Coating '10under'

A groundbreaking thin-film fluororesin coating that achieves thin-film technology while maintaining the performance of fluororesin coatings!

The 10under thin film fluoropolymer coating possesses non-stick properties equivalent to standard fluoropolymer coatings while being processable at a thickness of approximately 10μm. As a result, the dimensional changes due to film thickness are reduced compared to the standard type. Additionally, despite being a thin film, it minimizes transparency and prevents aesthetic defects. When compared to other fluoropolymer coating products, it is generally considered that a thickness of at least 20-50μm is required to maintain good appearance and performance. Therefore, when requesting processing with a thin film like 10under, it was common to propose a "modified type" fluoropolymer coating; however, there are challenges where the modified type may not exhibit the necessary functions. 10under addresses such challenges and is capable of demonstrating high performance while being a thin film. For specific comparisons and detailed information, please check the link.
