Minimum φ0.2mm! Low thermal stress! Laser soldering device for narrow areas.

Reduce the consumable costs of soldering irons! Rework in tight spaces is also possible! Reduce deterioration management and replacement labor for soldering irons, as well as decrease quality control labor.

A semiconductor laser soldering system developed by a soldering iron manufacturer that intentionally denies its own products! Utilizing a high-output semiconductor diode laser as the heat source, it achieves quality improvement by non-contact localized heating of mounted components for soldering. ■ Laser used: Adopts single-wavelength and coherent (interferable) light The output area can be narrowed down to standard φ0.4 and φ0.6 (minimum 0.2mm), making it ideal for localized soldering. ■ Minimizes thermal impact on narrow-pitch component mounting and surrounding areas. ■ Compatible solders Uses "rosin-core solder," "solder paste," "solder balls," and other "solder preforms." ■ The laser light is locally irradiated onto the pad surface and solder for speedy bonding! ■ By adopting laser soldering methods, it reduces the constraints of automated equipment, enabling more stable bonding quality than manual work.

T-SPARK Coating Procedure Manual for Anti-Seizing Measures

Direct from the manufacturer! Introducing effective coating methods for chocolate stalls and seizure prevention!

It is said that chocolate stops have a significant impact on factory equipment utilization rates and management. Literally small troubles, they often indicate early signs of equipment abnormalities and can eventually lead to major stoppages in product shipments or serious equipment failures, known as "big stops." This document introduces coating procedures for preventing chocolate stops and addressing seizure issues. It includes information on "causes of chocolate stops," "mechanisms of pin breakage," and "effective coating methods." Please take a moment to read it. [Contents] ■ Introduction ■ Chocolate Stops ■ Pin Breakage ■ T-SPARK ■ Effective Coating Methods *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Usage Example] Build-up Repair for Machine Parts and Dents

Introducing a case where we successfully achieved a 1/20 cost reduction through laser welding and repair restoration!

Here are some examples of the use of "T-LASER." When dents occur in machine parts, they are usually discarded and replaced with new ones. There was a concern that even with build-up repairs, shrinkage would occur, and the durability would be insufficient. Laser welding can effectively alloy the base material and welding material, and due to its low heat input, it can minimize residual stress, leading to testing. The build-up repair was completed without causing shrinkage. The adhesion is also good, allowing for production that is comparable to new products. [Effects and Benefits] ■ Successful cost reduction of 1/20 by using laser welding for regeneration repairs. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Application Example] Build-up Welding for Aluminum Die Casting Molds and Heat Checks

Introduction of a case where improved welding quality led to increased productivity and reduced man-hours (cost)!

Here are some examples of the utilization of "T-LASER." In all areas, repair was being done with TIG welding, but there were issues such as poor durability when performing heat checks on the repaired areas, leading to cracks and bead detachment occurring quickly. Since TIG welding has a high heat input, it also results in significant residual stress, prompting us to focus on and test low heat input laser welding machines. In the case of repairs using TIG welding, the process involves (1) preparing the groove, (2) welding, and (3) finishing. With laser welding, by adjusting the energy density of the laser light, it is possible to perform the groove preparation (1) using the laser light's air strike for general heat checks, which helps reduce man-hours and mitigate the accumulation of stress from groove preparation. [Effects and Benefits] ■ Cracks occurred within the bead after 2000 shots, but production continued even after 4000 shots. ■ Improved welding quality has led to increased productivity and reduced man-hours (cost), resulting in significant benefits. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Suppression of microcracks that occur in the laser welding area.

A successful case of establishing a technology that does not generate microcracks by using waveform control functions!

Here are some examples of the utilization of "T-LASER." Laser welding poses a problem where microcracks can occur when adding material to high-hardness materials due to rapid heating and cooling. Additionally, even if cracks are not visible on the added material bead, there may be internal cracks, and finishing with electrical discharge machining can sometimes accentuate these cracks. By utilizing waveform control functions instead of rectangular waves, we conducted trials with the belief that microcracks could be suppressed even when adding material to high-hardness materials. By understanding the mechanisms that lead to crack formation, we were able to identify which waveforms are effective, and by using the waveform control function, we successfully established a technique that prevents microcracks from occurring after laser welding or electrical discharge machining. [Effects and Benefits] ■ Significant reduction in man-hours (cost) ■ There are cases where 1 to 2 days' worth of man-hours (cost) can be saved *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
