In the material color change process during injection molding, we successfully reduced material waste (disposal) and color change time by half, which previously required a lot of materials and took a long time!

"For those with such concerns" Changing the color of polycarbonate resin used to take about 20 minutes per change with inexpensive natural polycarbonate resin. After performing 12 shots of waste injection, the color change was completed. ◆ Injection molding machine: 100 tons ◆ Material used: PC resin (Red ⇒ Green) ◆ Average of 6 color changes per month Monthly material usage: 12 shots/1 change (1.7kg) × 6 times = 10.2kg waste disposal Monthly material change time: 20 minutes/1 change × 6 times = 2 hours of lost time ↓ "Successful Improvement Case" After washing a few shots with TS Super Clean "SX Type," using a combination of "RW Type" for input cleaning reduces material loss (waste) and color change time by half. ◆ Average of 6 color changes per month Monthly material usage: 3 shots of SX Type + 2 shots of RW Type for a total of 5 shots × 6 times = 4.8kg waste disposal (Improvement effect: halved) Monthly material change time: 6-7 minutes/1 change × 6 times = 36-42 minutes of lost time (Improvement effect: halved) *If you have any concerns, please contact us. [Success Case] TS Super Clean (Injection Molding Machine: 1300t)

Introducing examples of successful reduction in material loss and time savings.

We would like to introduce a case where we successfully reduced material loss and shortened time with our plastic molding machine cleaning agent "TS Super Clean." In the material color change process during injection molding, a significant amount of material was used for color changes, which also took a lot of time. In one instance, each color change required 40kg of cleaning agent and 30kg of switching material, with three setups per month, resulting in a monthly waste of 210kg. As an improvement method, we proposed the combined use of "SX Type" of TS Super Clean followed by "RW Type" after a few shots of cleaning. As a result, after using 20kg of "SX Type" and 15kg of "RW Type," we were able to shorten the color change to a total usage of 35kg. Additionally, the usage of cleaning agents and switching materials improved from 70kg per change to 35kg per change. 【Usage Instructions】 ◆Purge Work Sequence◆ Resin to be purged (pre-material) → ecomaru → Suggested discharge methods below (Note: The two-wash grade is not sold; we propose the cheaper methods below) ◆Suggested Discharge Methods for ecomaru◆ Basically, we recommend discharging ecomaru with post-material, but we will introduce discharge methods as a guideline. After washing with GWP (PP-based) or GWS (AS-based), discharge with MFR (5-10) PP or PE. *Especially when the post-material is transparent resin. ◆Recommended Purge Method◆ Combination of automatic purge (4 shots) + short purge. Short purge is a method that involves repeating "less measurement" and "high-speed injection." ◆Notes◆ In the initial wash, more cleaning agent will be used to clean items that could not be removed conventionally. During evaluation, please wash until the purged color becomes consistent, and assess based on the change in defect rate after starting molding. It cannot be used for sealing operations. Do not use for cleaning hot runners or cold runners.
