In the right image, the defective product within the inspection frame is indicated by a red inspection frame, as it was inspected. Our technical staff receives various inquiries daily and provides careful support regarding inspection setup methods and imaging environments. This time, the inquiry is about the setup method for detecting white objects and white spots in packaging materials. **[Inspection Setup and Results]** The inspection setup was changed from "comparison with the master image" to "presence or absence of specified color." The image is an enlarged version. In the case of "comparison with the master image," subtle differences for each inspected item (such as the reflection of light due to surface irregularities) may also be detected, leading to a higher risk of misjudgment. However, with "presence or absence of specified color," only white spots will be detected, reducing the likelihood of misjudgment. The specified color was registered as "white" (RGB all 255), and the "color judgment tolerance range" was set to "140." By setting the "detection size judgment" to "count mode" and using "count mode," we can determine whether each individual white spot is classified as NG or OK based on its size (perimeter).

We suggested changing the "Correction Position" (red frame and light blue frame), the values for "Color Judgment Tolerance Range," and the "Pass/Fail Criteria Value" to "Both." Additionally, we noted that there are areas where misjudgment may occur due to uneven brightness (the edges appear darker). We advised them to reconsider the position and brightness of the lighting.
