[Case Study] Neutralization Treatment of Washing Wastewater from Imported Food Ingredients

I want to automate the neutralization process that I have been doing manually until now! Starting with civil engineering work.

We received a request from a food factory in the Kansai region regarding the high pH of wastewater generated during the cleaning of imported food ingredients, which was pointed out by the authorities. Therefore, it is urgently necessary to introduce an automatic pH neutralization treatment system. To draw wastewater from the grease trap to the neutralization system, it is necessary to cross the parking lot, and we proposed using buried piping. We undertook the entire process of excavating the route through civil engineering work, laying the piping, and then re-burying it. 【Delivery Case】Neutralization of HE Staining Device Wastewater

Neutralize strong acid in a 500×500 space!

● Neutralization of strong acid in a 500×500 space A major construction machinery manufacturer consulted us, asking, "Could you create a unit for transporting AdBlue?" The construction machinery (such as cranes) is expected to be used in locations without power, and they requested that the transport unit be battery-operated. We proposed using the electric diaphragm pump model SS, which has a proven track record with urea solution, housed together with the battery and nozzle inside a box. ● Compact neutralization device for H2 1. The metering pump is used for both the injection pump and the raw water pump. By neutralizing in small amounts, we ensured reliable neutralization without leaning towards alkalinity. 2. To be installed in the pathology room, we designed the device to also accommodate the polycan of the neutralizing agent (caustic soda), while minimizing operational noise. 3. Since off-the-shelf stirring machines could not meet our needs for the neutralization tank, we manufactured our own, contributing to space-saving. 4. The simple control panel allows for easy operation. Additionally, the stirring machine can adjust its rotation speed with an inverter, enabling it to accommodate changes in processing volume.

We would like to introduce a case where we received an order and delivered a complete set of pH neutralization treatment, including construction, due to the addition of a new surface treatment line from an automotive parts manufacturing factory. It was noted that depending on the line's situation, the wastewater could be either alkaline or acidic, so we designed and constructed it with dual-side control. The chemical injection system includes a sulfuric acid injection (with a dilution stirring machine) and a caustic soda injection facility. ● Semi-custom made! We received an inquiry from Company S, a chemical plant, regarding the replacement of their aging polymer coagulant dissolution device. The existing polymer coagulant dissolution device frequently experienced bridging (solidification), and there were many issues, such as the need to add coagulant using a cup. At H2, we conducted thorough hearings with the user and proposed the latest model of polymer coagulant, which was adopted with consideration for the user's usability. ● If you are having trouble with polymer coagulant dissolution devices, please consult us. The main changes in specifications are: 1. The dissolution tank is made of SUS. 2. The hopper is made of SUS. 3. [Case Study] Automatic pH Neutralization Treatment System for Dialysis Drainage

Constructing neutralization equipment that satisfies processing capacity in limited space!!

● Increased treatment volume of dialysis wastewater and replacement of neutralization treatment equipment We received an inquiry from a clinic in the Kansai region regarding the update of neutralization equipment due to the increase in dialysis wastewater treatment volume. The existing system was a neutralization treatment device from Company T, but due to a greater emphasis on responsiveness rather than price advantages, they decided to consider and place an order for our replacement. Since the site had limited space, it was necessary to devise a solution, such as splitting the raw water tank into two, to neutralize the increased treatment volume. ● Installation of neutralization equipment that meets treatment volume requirements in limited space The neutralization was done on both the alkaline side with caustic soda and the acidic side with dilute sulfuric acid, using our company's chemical injection pump. Thanks to its stable performance, it was operated with just one unit, eliminating the need for a backup machine. Additionally, the control panel size was compacted to about half of the conventional size, contributing to space-saving. The transfer from the raw water was also done using a submersible pump instead of a land pump, further saving space. Maintenance space was adequately provided, taking into consideration future electrode calibration and regular maintenance handling.

[Case Study] Neutralization Treatment of High-Temperature Wastewater

We introduce case studies of automatic pH neutralization systems that can handle both high-temperature acidic wastewater and alkaline wastewater!

We received an order for the pH neutralization treatment, including construction, due to the addition of a new line from a food factory. All tanks were selected as heat-resistant tanks (80°C) due to the high-temperature wastewater. The pH meter was also changed to a high-temperature specification, and our heat-resistant submersible pump model JCVH was incorporated into the raw water pump. The user's wastewater is discharged in batches, and depending on the situation, it can be either acidic or alkaline. Therefore, we implemented control on both sides to accommodate either condition for neutralization. A vertical mixer for dilution stirring was installed in the sulfuric acid tank. The shaft and impeller were processed with FRP lining for sulfuric acid resistance. We adopted our electromagnetic pump for both sulfuric acid and caustic soda injection pumps. We received an order for the installation of a large dishwasher, including pH neutralization treatment, from a major research institution. Since the wastewater discharged from the dishwasher is high-temperature, all tanks were selected to be heat-resistant (80°C). The pH meter was also changed to a high-temperature specification. The wastewater from the dishwasher fell by its own weight, so we raised the level of the dishwasher slightly to accommodate this (using a support frame). Additionally, due to the low liquid level that could flow into the neutralization tank, we designed a custom specification to allow for rapid neutralization, proposing a compact and cost-effective design, which was ultimately adopted. ● Custom-made dispenser with a user experience similar to a gas station We received an order from an automotive manufacturer for a dispenser to be used for AdBlue (urea water). We manufactured a custom dispenser equipped with special features tailored to the manufacturer's needs. ● We have extensive experience in the design and manufacturing of AdBlue-related equipment. 1. A flow control BV is installed, designed for easy access to flow adjustment by the user. 2. The auto-stop gun nozzle is sourced from Elaflex (Germany) and is designed for easy removal to allow refueling with various gun nozzles. 3. Refueling AdBlue (urea water) can be done simply by inserting the hose into the cubitainer without opening the lid, equipped with a suction pump. 4. The body and storage tank are made entirely of stainless steel. Additionally, to allow the equipment to be used in different locations in the future, the drain pan (SUS) is designed to accommodate a forklift for easy transport.

We received an inquiry from a removal and demolition contractor in Hiroshima Prefecture regarding the pH neutralization treatment of asbestos-containing wash water. They requested that we be able to handle both acidic and alkaline wastewater, so we addressed this with additional design. It was noted that the sludge would settle in a sedimentation tank provided by the customer during the pre-treatment stage, so we configured the flow to only suck the supernatant using a float skimmer and an ADD-type air diaphragm pump. We also ensured that the integration with the neutralization treatment process could be completed with a single control panel, and we addressed the pressurization for further filtration of the neutralized raw water using the ADD type. The drainage accumulating in the underground pit is detected by a level sensor, pumped up, and stored in the above-ground tank (6000L). When the drainage in the above-ground tank accumulates, an alarm sounds from the control panel installed in the clean room. We manufactured and constructed this system. In particular, the control panel is a crucial part of the drainage treatment system that affects the usability for the administrator. ●I want to supply water in a place without power. We received a request from a construction machinery manufacturer to "create a unit for transferring AdBlue." Construction machinery (such as cranes) is expected to be used in locations without power, and there is a request for a battery-operated transfer unit. We proposed using the electric diaphragm pump model SS, which has a proven track record with urea water, housed together with the battery and nozzle inside a box. ● Operates for 150 minutes on a full charge. This equates to approximately 3000 liters of water supply. The design ensures that the battery, gun nozzle, suction hose, and discharge hose all fit inside the box. The pump specifications allow for a transfer rate of 20L/min over a distance of 20m, and it is equipped with a heater to accommodate use in remote areas. It also serves to prevent the freezing of AdBlue. With a full charge, it can operate for 150 minutes, allowing for the transfer of approximately 3000 liters of urea water. (DC24V) Additionally, charging can be done using the included charger, which can connect to DC12V or 24V, or to a 100V outlet for charging, making it a multi-charge type.

【Case Study】Neutralization Treatment of Wastewater from Asbestos-Containing Coating Removal

Introduction of a case study on the neutralization treatment of wastewater from the removal of asbestos-containing coatings in truck-mounted specifications.

We received an inquiry from a painting contractor in Aichi Prefecture asking if we could perform pH neutralization treatment for wastewater containing asbestos paint removal. Since it will be used at various sites, they wanted to mount it on a truck for operation. We designed and proposed it considering outdoor use and vibration resistance with a unit frame. Regarding the removal of asbestos-containing paint, the user expressed a desire to neutralize only the supernatant. Therefore, we devised a flow using a float skimmer and an air diaphragm pump of the ADD type to only suck up the supernatant. We also ensured that the control panel could complete the integration with the neutralization treatment process, and we addressed the pressurization for further filtration of the neutralized raw water with the ADD type. We received an inquiry from a major engineering company stating that they have been requested by a metal product manufacturing factory to treat wastewater containing copper. Upon inquiring about the characteristics of the wastewater, we learned that there are two types: "concentrated wastewater" with a high concentration of copper and "normal wastewater" with a concentration of about 320 mg/L. Since the concentrated wastewater has a sufficient concentration for recovery, we proposed to discharge it to a line for industrial waste disposal and to focus on treating the normal wastewater. We were appreciated for our ability to quickly propose a design that meets the user's needs, leading to our adoption.
