[Case Study] Filtration of High-Temperature Bonding Liquid (Manganese Phosphate)

No more sludge!

● We want to keep the bonding solution (manganese phosphate) in a clean state at all times. We received a consultation from N.P. Corporation, a major surface treatment manufacturer, stating, "We want to keep the bonding solution sludge in the new line in a clean state at all times." Since it is a high-temperature and corrosive liquid, we selected the air diaphragm type filtration unit ADF and conducted a filtration demonstration to verify sludge removal. ● No more sludge! To keep the tank clean at all times, we performed filtration in a circulation method, and the samples of the bonding solution before and after filtration are shown in the above photo. Furthermore, we confirmed in on-site filtration experiments that we could completely remove sludge as shown below. [Case Study] Pre-filtration of Purified Water System

Cost reduced by half. Quality is the same!

● Significant Cost Benefits The user was using a 500mm 5μ string-wound filter cartridge as a pre-filter for their pure water system. In light of a cost review for the filter cartridges currently in use (replaced 2-3 times a week), they evaluated our string-wound filter cartridges. It was determined that our cartridges could be used without any loss of quality compared to the existing manufacturer's products, leading to the decision to switch to our cost-effective solution. ● Costs Reduced by Half. Quality is Equivalent. Our cartridges were priced at half the cost of the existing products, which initially raised concerns about inferior quality. However, the evaluation confirmed that the quality was indeed equivalent. At H2, we recommend providing samples for testing to customers considering switching filter cartridges. To alleviate concerns about low-cost products being of poor quality, we encourage customers to verify the equivalent quality in real-world applications before making a decision to implement our solution.

【Case Study】Manufacturing of Purified Water for Dilution of Pharmaceuticals

● Emphasis on Quality and Cost Performance We are considering a pure water system for drug dilution. After consulting with the equipment manufacturer, we proposed an ion exchange pure water system, which was adopted. We used a conductivity meter (EC meter) from Technomorioka and set it to issue an error signal when the upper limit (1.0μS/m) is reached via an analog signal. Initially, we planned for a water collection volume of about 8000L, but it turned out to be nearly double at around 14000L, resulting in a satisfactory outcome for the user. ● Quick Response for Ion Exchange Resin Regeneration Regeneration of the ion exchange resin can be done in about a week after the return of the canister. Of course, we can also offer proposals for regeneration costs that excel in cost performance. Additionally, H2 can design and construct RO pure water systems.

[Case Study] Removal of Sludge Contained in Waste Acid

I want to filter the sludge contained in the waste acid to protect the equipment!

●Reusable PVC punching processing We received an inquiry from a certain industrial waste treatment plant, stating, "We want to remove the sludge contained in the waste acid to protect pumps and other equipment." Since there is a possibility of corrosion with metal materials, we custom-manufactured a filter made entirely of PVC. The user requested that the filtration system be reusable and washable, rather than using bags or cartridges, so we created a basket with PVC punching. The mesh size was also manufactured according to the user's specifications. ●Easy to clean. Denden bolt specification By using a denden bolt for the opening and closing of the lid, we devised a way for operators to safely and easily clean the strainer. The interior is completely sealed with a gasket, and the pressure resistance is designed to match that of the transfer pump. H2 has extensive experience in sludge removal at industrial waste treatment facilities and surface treatment plants.

The existing polymer coagulant dissolution device frequently experienced bridging (solidification), and there were many issues, such as the need to add coagulant using a cup. At H2, we conducted thorough hearings with the user and proposed the latest model of polymer coagulant, which was adopted with consideration for the user's usability. ● If you are having trouble with polymer coagulant dissolution devices, please consult us. The main changes in specifications are: 1. The dissolution tank is made of SUS. 2. The hopper is made of SUS. 3. ● Neutralization of strong acid in a 500×500 space A major construction machinery manufacturer consulted us, asking, "Could you create a unit for transporting AdBlue?" The construction machinery (such as cranes) is expected to be used in locations without power, and they requested that the transport unit be battery-operated. We proposed using the electric diaphragm pump model SS, which has a proven track record with urea solution, housed together with the battery and nozzle inside a box. ● Compact neutralization device for H2 1. The metering pump is used for both the injection pump and the raw water pump. By neutralizing in small amounts, we ensured reliable neutralization without leaning towards alkalinity. 2. To be installed in the pathology room, we designed the device to also accommodate the polycan of the neutralizing agent (caustic soda), while minimizing operational noise. 3. Since off-the-shelf stirring machines could not meet our needs for the neutralization tank, we manufactured our own, contributing to space-saving. 4. The simple control panel allows for easy operation. Additionally, the stirring machine can adjust its rotation speed with an inverter, enabling it to accommodate changes in processing volume.

●I want to supply water in a place without power. We received a request from a construction machinery manufacturer to "create a unit for transferring AdBlue." Construction machinery (such as cranes) is expected to be used in locations without power, and there is a request for a battery-operated transfer unit. We proposed using the electric diaphragm pump model SS, which has a proven track record with urea water, housed together with the battery and nozzle inside a box. ● Operates for 150 minutes on a full charge. This equates to approximately 3000 liters of water supply. The design ensures that the battery, gun nozzle, suction hose, and discharge hose all fit inside the box. The pump specifications allow for a transfer rate of 20L/min over a distance of 20m, and it is equipped with a heater to accommodate use in remote areas. It also serves to prevent the freezing of AdBlue. With a full charge, it can operate for 150 minutes, allowing for the transfer of approximately 3000 liters of urea water. (DC24V) Additionally, charging can be done using the included charger, which can connect to DC12V or 24V, or to a 100V outlet for charging, making it a multi-charge type.

● Custom-made dispenser with a user experience similar to a gas station We received an order from an automotive manufacturer for a dispenser to be used for AdBlue (urea water). We manufactured a custom dispenser equipped with special features tailored to the manufacturer's needs. ● We have extensive experience in the design and manufacturing of AdBlue-related equipment. 1. A flow control BV is installed, designed for easy access to flow adjustment by the user. 2. The auto-stop gun nozzle is sourced from Elaflex (Germany) and is designed for easy removal to allow refueling with various gun nozzles. 3. Refueling AdBlue (urea water) can be done simply by inserting the hose into the cubitainer without opening the lid, equipped with a suction pump. 4. The body and storage tank are made entirely of stainless steel. Additionally, to allow the equipment to be used in different locations in the future, the drain pan (SUS) is designed to accommodate a forklift for easy transport.

The concentrations were each below 20%, but we proposed the JCVH type, which has high corrosion resistance due to its epoxy coating, considering both temperature and corrosion resistance. ●Cooling from 100℃ to 95℃ for transfer! The heat-resistant submersible pump JCVH type has a heat resistance temperature of 95℃, so they were satisfied with the operation of lowering the 100℃ hot water to 95℃ for use. We received feedback that they have been able to transfer without any issues after the installation.

[Case Study] Oil Recovery from Narrow Pits (High Temperature)

Leave the recovery of floating oil to us, even in narrow spaces and with high-temperature fluids!

●We want to recover floating oil from high-temperature wastewater in a narrow pit. Until now, workers have been recovering oil from the high-temperature wastewater accumulating in the pit using tools like a "hishaku" (a ladle). Due to the high temperature and the dangers of working above the pit, they were troubled about how to recover the floating oil. Therefore, H2 proposed a combination of the ADD type air diaphragm for high temperatures and a custom-made recovery float. This was accepted after a satisfactory demonstration on-site. ●The float was manufactured to fit the pit, made entirely of SUS316 material. We determined the float size to fit the narrow pit, and since it would be exposed to corrosive liquids and high temperatures, it was constructed entirely of SUS316. The processing of the funnel part of the float was particularly challenging, but we completed it without issues. H2 offers the "H-FR" series of pump skimmers, but if the size does not fit or if material considerations are necessary, we can flexibly accommodate custom requests. We received an order for a drainage system, including polyethylene tanks, from an industrial equipment manufacturing factory. The drainage accumulating in the underground pit is detected by a level sensor, pumped up, and stored in the above-ground tank (6000L). When the drainage in the above-ground tank accumulates, an alarm sounds from the control panel installed in the clean room. We manufactured and constructed this system. In particular, the control panel is a crucial part of the drainage treatment system that affects the usability for the administrator. We conducted thorough meetings before production, resulting in a plant construction that achieved high user satisfaction. ●You can also trust us with tank installation and plant systems. [Case Study] Automatic pH Neutralization Treatment System for Dialysis Drainage

Constructing neutralization equipment that satisfies processing capacity in limited space!!

● Increased treatment volume of dialysis wastewater and replacement of neutralization treatment equipment We received an inquiry from a clinic in the Kansai region regarding the update of neutralization equipment due to the increase in dialysis wastewater treatment volume. The existing system was a neutralization treatment device from Company T, but due to a greater emphasis on responsiveness rather than price advantages, they decided to consider and place an order for our replacement. Since the site had limited space, it was necessary to devise a solution, such as splitting the raw water tank into two, to neutralize the increased treatment volume. ● Installation of neutralization equipment that meets treatment volume requirements in limited space The neutralization was done on both the alkaline side with caustic soda and the acidic side with dilute sulfuric acid, using our company's chemical injection pump. Thanks to its stable performance, it was operated with just one unit, eliminating the need for a backup machine. Additionally, the control panel size was compacted to about half of the conventional size, contributing to space-saving. The transfer from the raw water was also done using a submersible pump instead of a land pump, further saving space. Maintenance space was adequately provided, taking into consideration future electrode calibration and regular maintenance handling.

Can we do something about the frequently breaking pump?!

●Is there any way to deal with the frequently breaking pump? Due to various circumstances, the drain from the jacket of the reaction vessel could not be directly laid to the drainage ditch. Instead, it was first collected in a drainage pit and then pumped out to the drainage ditch using a submersible pump. Considering the possibility of the submersible pump breaking, we were using it while flowing cooling water, but the pump frequently broke due to heat. Therefore, we considered the JCVH-40 model, which can handle temperatures up to 95°C, and it was adopted with a float specification.
