[Delivery Case] Transfer of Caustic Soda to Scrubber

A system designed with safety in mind! Introducing a case of equipment delivered to a chemical plant.

A major chemical plant requested us to devise a system that automatically transfers and replenishes caustic soda to maintain a constant concentration within a large scrubber when the pH drops. Since a pH meter is installed on the scrubber side, we configured the system to incorporate that signal into our device, activating the transfer when the concentration decreases. The user commonly uses Iwaki's metering pumps, so we incorporated Iwaki pumps as the transfer pumps, as they are familiar with their maintenance and operability. Additionally, we received many requests regarding safety, so we installed a drain pan to prevent leaks from the caustic soda storage tank and a leak sensor within the drain pan to detect any leaks. [Overview] ■ Delivery: Western Japan Chemical Plant ■ Application: Transfer and replenishment of caustic soda to the scrubber ■ Request: To maintain a constant concentration of caustic soda within the scrubber *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

【Delivery Case】Transportation of Mud Pack Raw Materials

Installation of a control panel on the lifter! A case where operational efficiency on-site has improved, contributing to increased productivity.

We received a request from a cosmetics factory in Western Japan stating, "We would like to transport mud pack materials." The viscosity was around 2000 mPa·s, and we confirmed the performance with a demo unit. Additionally, we received requests regarding the optional lifter, and we were able to meet all the various requests before delivery. The pump was selected to be air-driven, and the equipment was configured to operate and stop using a solenoid valve. Furthermore, we incorporated an "automatic operation" feature that receives a stop signal from the hopper at the pump's destination and stops automatically. Having an operation panel on the lifter improved operability on-site and contributed to increased productivity. 【Case Summary】 ■ Delivery: Cosmetics Factory in Western Japan ■ Application: Transport of mud pack materials (high viscosity) ■ Model: Sanitary High Viscosity Handy Pump HD-850DD-751 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] pH Treatment of Experimental Wastewater for Universities

Designed to complete neutralization in one tank! Design companies struggling with wastewater treatment, please consult us!

We would like to introduce a case study of the automatic pH neutralization system we delivered. We received an inquiry from a design office that wanted to neutralize experimental wastewater generated due to new construction. The client was a university in the Chubu region, and they requested treatment for wastewater resulting from experiments related to cement and concrete. Since they were looking for a compact and simple device, we designed it to complete the neutralization in a single tank. Because we were able to hold meetings before the new construction work began, the foundation (concrete) was prepared perfectly, and the handover of operations from the design company went smoothly. Our company has a system in place that allows for appropriate proposals and the realization of our customers' "wants" through collaboration between sales and design. Please feel free to contact us when you need our services. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Circulating Filtration System for Manganese Phosphate

The pump can be operated with just one unit! This is an example of a compact design that can be placed on a cart.

We received a request from a certain surface treatment factory in the Tokai region, stating, "We want to keep the manganese phosphate solution in a clean state at all times." This involves the circulation filtration of what is commonly known as bonding solution. Due to the high temperature and corrosive nature of the liquid, the components are made of SUS material. Additionally, we designed the system to perform rough filtration followed by precise filtration using a single unit and pump, which was adopted. At H2, we can design and manufacture recovery filtration systems tailored to our customers' sites. In this case, we also handle installation and piping on the tank side, so we can carry out the construction as well. Customers facing issues with recovery filtration are encouraged to contact us. [Case Overview] ■ Delivery: Surface treatment factory in the Tokai region ■ Application: Sludge circulation filtration for manganese phosphate tank ■ Model: ADD-25-SS and others *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

【Case Study】Neutralization Treatment at a Concrete Plant

Collected the supernatant from the sedimentation tank and neutralized it! An example of our support in preparing documents for submission to the government office.

We received a request from a concrete factory in the Chubu region stating, "We would like to neutralize the wastewater generated from washing concrete trucks." Upon further inquiry, we learned that while there is an existing sedimentation tank, there is no neutralization equipment. They were urgently considering this matter due to a notice from the authorities. Therefore, we proposed a flow where the supernatant from the existing sedimentation tank would be neutralized and then discharged. Since the sedimentation tank has a strong alkaline condition, we suggested using a corrosion-resistant submersible pump of the LC type and installed electrodes for liquid level control to ensure only the supernatant is drawn. This matter involved multiple documents due to the authorities' notice, but our company supported the submission of these documents, allowing us to clear the issues without any problems. [Case Overview] ■ Client: Chubu Ready-Mixed Concrete Factory ■ Supplied Product: Automatic pH Neutralization Device ■ Application: pH neutralization treatment of concrete wastewater (including rainwater) *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

【Technical Data】Summary of Transfer Fluids for High-Temperature Water and High-Temperature Wastewater by Temperature

Examples of transporting alkaline high-temperature wastewater from steelworks, including fluids over 50°C, will be introduced in detail.

In fluid transfer, it is important to consider three main aspects: the characteristics of the fluid to be transferred (fluid information), the selection of equipment that meets the desired conditions (equipment selection), and the compatibility with the site (external factors). Among these, "fluid information" requires careful consideration of various factors such as the fluid's special properties, viscosity, specific gravity, corrosiveness, and temperature when making selections. This document focuses on temperature and corrosion resistance, summarizing cases of fluid transfer at temperatures above 50°C, which are considered difficult with standard products. We invite you to read it. [Published Cases (Excerpt)] ■ Up to 80°C - Major steelworks in the Kanto region - Major food factories - Automotive parts factories - Recycling plants *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Data] Summary of Self-Priming Fluids with High Viscosity and Sanitary Properties

Introducing the fluids actually self-primed by a self-priming pump! Methods for self-priming with high viscosity and sanitary specifications are also included.

In the pump transfer operation, IN/OUT is essential. Broadly speaking, there are submersible pumps and surface pumps, but submersible pumps mainly operate while submerged in the fluid, so they generally do not have self-priming capabilities. On the other hand, self-priming pumps are mostly found in surface pumps, and they are equipped with check valves or mechanisms that serve that purpose near the pump's interior or suction inlet. Pumps that have the ability to draw in fluid are collectively referred to as self-priming pumps. This document summarizes fluids that were actually self-primed by H2's self-priming pumps, as well as fluids that can operate under conditions close to self-priming. Please take a moment to read it. [Contents (partial)] ■ Machine oil ■ Ceramic slurry ■ Polymer coagulants *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

【Case Study】Transport of Urea (Powder) by Belt Conveyor

Emergency stop buttons are placed in various locations on the device! We have pursued operability with features like ON/OFF control via remote.

The size of the urea raw material is almost uniform for each particle, but it can clump together due to moisture, leading to various forms of lumps during transportation. Therefore, we proposed the use of a conveyor belt for transportation. After evaluating the costs, delivery times, and responsiveness, our proposal was accepted. The equipment is basically automatic, and after attaching the FIBC (Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container), it starts the division of 1000 kg (which can be changed as needed) simply by turning on the power. However, to eliminate the need for operators to manipulate controls in front of the control panel, we also added a remote control for ON/OFF functionality. 【Case Overview】 ■ Consultation Content: We want to divide urea (powder) into FIBCs. ■ Proposal - Transportation via conveyor belt - Added remote control for ON/OFF to eliminate the need for operators to manipulate controls in front of the control panel - Considered safety by placing emergency stop buttons in various locations on the equipment - Ensured that emergency stops can also be activated via the remote control *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] pH Neutralization Treatment of Boiler Drainage at a National University Hospital

As a heat-resistant pump manufacturer, we can also neutralize high-temperature water! We have included proposals for pit liquid level control as well.

We received an inquiry from a national university hospital asking for assistance with wastewater treatment related to boiler updates. An existing pH automatic neutralization system was already installed, but it was quite old and is currently not in use. We proposed a pH automatic neutralization treatment system that takes into account the existing piping line. To enable neutralization at high temperatures, we designed the neutralization tank and discharge tank using heat-resistant resin, and ensured that all components in contact with the liquid, including the pH electrode, are made of heat-resistant materials for safe use. [Case Overview] ■ Inquiry: Request for assistance with wastewater treatment related to boiler updates ■ Proposal - pH automatic neutralization treatment system considering the existing piping line - Proposal also includes liquid level control for the pit where wastewater flows in - Neutralization tank and discharge tank designed with heat-resistant resin to allow neutralization at high temperatures - All components made of heat-resistant materials for safe use *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Delivery Example] pH Neutralization Treatment System for Battery Wastewater Containing Lead

Achieving neutralization without using toxic substances! Introducing case studies proposed from workbenches and disassembly tables.

We received an inquiry from an automobile manufacturer who wants to process battery waste liquid generated during disassembly and inspection. The battery waste liquid is highly acidic and contains lead, so we discussed in detail how to handle these materials in a limited indoor space. Upon further inquiry into the manufacturer's battery disassembly operations, it was revealed that they are also considering updating the workbench itself. We proposed solutions for the workbench and disassembly table to enable primary neutralization. Since we handled the removal and installation of the existing setup entirely, we completed the project without burdening the manufacturer or trading company, achieving neutralization without the use of toxic substances. It was a challenging job in terms of space and workflow, but the key factor in securing the order was the confidence that 'everything can be entrusted to H2.' [Case Details] ■ Client: Automobile Manufacturer ■ Purpose: Automatic pH neutralization treatment of wastewater containing lead from batteries ■ Specifications: Approximately 200L/Hr *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Pump Delivery Case] Automatic Neutralization Treatment of Acid Washing Wastewater pH

With the expansion of pickling scale, we are considering efficiency improvements! The ability to handle design and construction as a package is highly valued.

We received an inquiry from Company F at the steelworks in Saga Prefecture, stating, "The scale of acid washing has increased, and we would like to automatically neutralize the wash water in the subsequent process." Currently, after acid washing, they are washing with water near the drainage ditch, which is very inefficient. Therefore, they requested to create a pit for washing and to place a neutralization device within that pit. To perform the water washing after acid washing in the pit and pump it directly to the neutralization device, we proposed the size of the collection pit and the pit itself. Additionally, they adopted a corrosion-resistant submersible pump (automatically controlled). [Pump Delivery Case] Neutralization Treatment of Wastewater Containing Copper

The key is the flexible design! There are no issues in confirming the coagulation and sedimentation, even in parts that require know-how, such as the shape of the rake.

We received an inquiry from a major engineering company stating that they have been requested by a metal product manufacturing factory to treat wastewater containing copper. Upon inquiring about the characteristics of the wastewater, we learned that there are two types: "concentrated wastewater" with a high concentration of copper and "normal wastewater" with a concentration of about 320 mg/L. Since the concentrated wastewater has a sufficient concentration for recovery, we proposed to discharge it to a line for industrial waste disposal and to focus on treating the normal wastewater. We were appreciated for our ability to quickly propose a design that meets the user's needs, leading to our adoption. [Case Study] - Copper and SS are collected after the addition of metal coagulants and polymers, then precipitated in a coagulation sedimentation tank, and discharged as sludge via a filter press. - The coagulation sedimentation tank was also designed by our company. - We confirmed that there were no issues with the shape of the rake and the rotation speed for effective coagulation and sedimentation. - Specifications: - Treatment capacity: 80t/day - Method: Chemical injection - Raw water: pH 2-3 (strong acid) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

[Pump Delivery Case] Neutralization Treatment at a Surface Treatment Plant

Neutralization treatment of wastewater from the new factory! Selecting pumps for pressurization and monitoring filter clogging with pressure sensors.

We would like to introduce a case where we received an order and delivered a complete set of pH neutralization treatment, including construction, due to the addition of a new surface treatment line from an automotive parts manufacturing factory. It was noted that depending on the line's situation, the wastewater could be either alkaline or acidic, so we designed and constructed it with dual-side control. The chemical injection system includes a sulfuric acid injection (with a dilution stirring machine) and a caustic soda injection facility. Additionally, we also delivered a PAC injection system with an eye towards future installation of a coagulation and sedimentation system. 【Case Details】 ■ Delivery: Automotive parts manufacturing industry ■ Application: Neutralization treatment of surface treatment wastewater ■ Model: pH neutralization treatment system *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Pump Delivery Case] Transferring 3000 cp Viscosity Liquid from a Drum

Solving the problem of 'immediate shutdown with products from other companies'! Capable of handling high viscosity and high temperatures.

We received a contact from a steel company in Hokkaido stating, "We purchased an air diaphragm pump from Company Y, but it stopped immediately, and we are in trouble." Here is a case we handled. They wanted to transfer a liquid with a viscosity of about 3000 cp at a rate of approximately 25 L/min. The discharge was horizontal for about 2 meters and vertical upwards for about 1 meter (with a resin filter in between), while the suction side was horizontal for 1 meter. There are two major differences between our ADD and other companies' products, both of which are key points for transferring high-viscosity liquids. In this case, they later ordered two additional pumps of the same model as a repeat order, resulting in a highly satisfactory outcome. [Features of our ADD] - The diaphragm uses two pieces on one side (four in total), making it strong against negative pressure and positive force. - There is a wide selection of ball materials for discharge and suction, and the sealing capability due to the valve seat is high. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Pump Delivery Case] High-Temperature Slurry Mixed Viscous Liquid (Oil)

The gear pump is breaking down immediately, and it's a problem. It can handle high temperature, slurry, and high viscosity at a low cost!

We received a consultation from Company J, a major steel manufacturer, stating that "the gear pump breaks down immediately, and we are in trouble." Upon checking the fluid, we found that they were transferring high-temperature (90°C) high-viscosity oil with the gear pump. Additionally, they mentioned that a small amount of slurry (iron powder) inevitably gets mixed in, leading us to conclude that the slurry was causing the gear pump to fail. Therefore, we proposed the "Air Diaphragm Pump ADD type," and after they used a demo unit, it was adopted. 【Features of our diaphragm pump】 ■ Self-priming ■ Capable of pressure delivery ■ Can transfer slurry and viscous liquids ■ Suitable for high-temperature fluids *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

[Pump Delivery Case] Transfer of High-Temperature Bonding Liquid

I want to transfer high-temperature bonding liquid to the upper floor! Make the transfer of dangerous high-temperature fluids safer and easier.

We have received a consultation from a major automotive parts manufacturer, Company S, stating that they are troubled by frequent failures of the submersible pump they have been using until now. The current submersible pump is unsuitable for both temperature (80 degrees) and corrosion resistance, so they have adopted our heat-resistant submersible pump (made entirely of stainless steel). The liquid used is bonding liquid (zinc phosphate) which is high-temperature and contains slurry. The pump was installed underwater with the aim of transferring from the second floor to the third floor. [Reasons for Adoption] ■ Extensive track record as a heat-resistant submersible pump (adopted by other major automotive parts manufacturers) ■ Flexible response as a manufacturer to special specifications ■ Short delivery time ■ Low price *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Delivery Example] Transporting phosphoric acid with a submersible pump

Identifying the cause of the failure through hearing and making proposals! Case study of the delivery of corrosion-resistant underwater pumps.

We received a request from a chemical plant stating, "We would like to transfer wastewater containing high concentrations of phosphoric acid from the process storage tank using a submersible pump." Since they prefer a solution without major construction and with a float switch on a 100V single-phase system, we proposed our corrosion-resistant submersible pump model LC-251-S. They mentioned that a flow rate of about 10L/min would be sufficient, but since the pump is somewhat over-spec, we suggested adjustments using a discharge-side valve. 【Case Overview】 ■ Issues - They want to transfer wastewater containing high concentrations of phosphoric acid from the process storage tank using a submersible pump. - The currently used submersible pump quickly suffers from impeller corrosion and failure due to acid. ■ Proposal - Adopt our corrosion-resistant submersible pump model LC-251-S. - Since the pump is somewhat over-spec, we suggested adjustments using a discharge-side valve. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Automatic Neutralization Treatment of Pickling Wastewater pH

Automatic pH neutralization treatment of pickling wastewater! We have adopted a corrosion-resistant submersible pump (automatic control).

We received an inquiry from Company F, a steelworks in Saga Prefecture, after they viewed our website, stating that "the scale of acid washing has increased, and we would like to automatically neutralize the wash water from the subsequent process." Upon discussing their needs, we learned that currently, after acid washing, they are washing with water near a drainage ditch, which is very inefficient. They expressed a desire to create a pit for washing and to place a neutralization device within that pit. Therefore, we proposed a collection pit and pit size to allow for washing after acid treatment within the pit and to pump the water directly to the neutralization device. Additionally, since the wastewater before neutralization is acidic and would corrode a standard submersible pump, they opted for a corrosion-resistant submersible pump (with automatic control). [Case Details] ■ Delivery: Saga Prefecture Steelworks ■ Application: Automatic pH neutralization treatment of acid wash wastewater ■ Specifications: Acid control at one point, 400L/Day *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

【Delivery Example】Sludge recovery from a solution mixed with hydrochloric acid.

Recovery of sludge in strong acid solutions! We also specialize in custom manufacturing beyond our standard lineup products.

We received a request from a certain major chemical factory in the Hokuriku region, stating, "We would like to recover sludge from a solution mixed with hydrochloric acid." Although the concentration of hydrochloric acid was low, it was difficult to use materials such as SUS, which are commonly used for recovery floats, so we proposed and adopted a custom-made resin recovery float. The strength was enhanced by extensively using PVC bending welding, and bolts were also made thicker and made of resin. This recovery float, which has corrosion resistance and was seemingly non-existent, was produced as a unique item, and we were able to deliver it. 【Case Details】 ■ Delivery: Hokuriku Chemical Factory ■ Application: Sludge recovery from a solution mixed with hydrochloric acid ■ Model: Resin recovery float *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

【Delivery Case】Transfer of Low Liquidity Food

We would like to introduce a case where we successfully received an order after lending a demo machine to a major food company!

We received an inquiry from a major food company regarding the transfer of a highly viscous liquid, similar to fish paste, which has very low fluidity. The required discharge volume is also very small, approximately 2L/min, and it flows into the pump after being pushed through a high-pressure device (2Mpa), and is discharged at around 2Mpa as well. Additionally, the transfer temperature is quite challenging, exceeding 150℃, but we proposed the rotary lobe pump "JNH model." After lending a demo unit, we successfully received the order. For difficult transfer cases like the one mentioned above, it is essential to first confirm the feasibility of the transfer with a demo unit, identify issues, and address them through close collaboration. 【Case Details】 ■ Client: Major food manufacturing company ■ Application: Transferring high-viscosity paint from drums ■ Model: Rotary lobe pump "JNH-1-1B" (with cart and IV specifications) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
