Nutritional labeling for side dishes, bento, and general food products has been made mandatory since April 2020. We propose the near-infrared component measurement device "Food Scan 2," which enables rapid and highly accurate nutritional component analysis as an efficient analytical method. This device comes standard with calibration curves for various foods and can simultaneously measure moisture, protein, fat, salt, carbohydrates, and other items per 100g sample in as little as 25 seconds. It also supports calorie labeling. "FoodScan2" is a near-infrared component measurement device equipped with calibration curves for various types of side dishes, frozen foods, and bento boxes. Samples that have been blended into a paste can be placed in a plastic bag and measured directly. In just 25 seconds of measurement time, it can simultaneously measure eight components per 100g of sample: moisture, protein, fat, carbohydrates, ash, sodium, dietary fiber, and sugars. There is a growing interest in the color and hue of food, but measuring color requires visual inspection or specialized equipment (such as colorimeters), which can be time-consuming. However, what if a spectroscopic measurement device could measure color simultaneously with compositional components?
