Delivery performance

We will introduce specific case studies that led to the resolution of our customers' concerns. Please experience the "value of Bandai" that goes beyond just providing parts.

Introducing with Manga: Can a Sheet Metal Pulley Achieve Both Cost and Weight Reduction?

That price increase, do we have no choice but to accept it? There are still "innovations" and "options" that can be explored.

I was approached about a significant price increase for cast iron V-pulleys... Moreover, the delivery destination requested, 'We also want you to reduce the weight...' Neither cost nor functionality can be compromised— In such a situation, Bandai proposed an unexpectedly effective method that realistically addresses both challenges. The price of cast iron is rising too much, and while using aluminum can achieve weight reduction, the costs would soar even higher... What is the 'third option' that fills the gap? ➡ For more details, please check 'Download the Catalog'! Click below to explore other case studies that solve similar issues!

[Case Study] Successful delivery by identifying feasible specifications for processing.

Eliminate the gap between the specifications stated in the drawings and the reality of being unable to process according to those specifications!

We would like to introduce a case where we successfully delivered a product by finding a realistic specification for processing expensive carbide products, which are difficult to process according to the drawings. We received a consultation regarding a situation where a machine manufacturer was requested to replace parts, but they had already gone out of business, making the parts unavailable. The client was seeking a way to obtain the same parts. By hearing the practical compromises in processing from "Hometown Processing Partner 14," we held multiple meetings with the client to find a realistic compromise on the specifications, which allowed us to successfully deliver alternative parts. [Case Study] Achieving cost reduction in processing fees through metal 3D printing.

Demonstrating the features of metal 3D printing! A case where we were able to deliver according to the customer's desired deadline and cost.

We would like to introduce a case where we achieved a reduction in delivery time, initial costs, and processing costs through metal 3D printing. To solve the problem of wanting to produce complex-shaped parts quickly without the need to manufacture jigs that incur initial costs, 3D printing is ideal as it allows for processing without jigs and in a short period. Since 3D printers form shapes through "layering," the setup time and impact on processing time due to shape are minimal, and in this case, it can be processed at a lower cost compared to machining. [Case Overview (Partial)] ■ Processing Machine Used: Metal 3D Printer ■ Material: SUS630 ■ Quantity: 1 piece ■ Manufacturing and Processing Company: Furusato Processing Partner 9 *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

Introducing in Manga: Solving Delays in Delivery and Inventory Issues through a Review of Manufacturing Methods!

Lost wax casting, is it time for a reevaluation? Reduce delivery times and inventory concerns with 3D printers!

"Another delay in delivery..." "I don't want to hold inventory, but the lot sizes are too large..." Have you ever experienced such concerns? What we are introducing this time is a story from Bandai that organizes the "frustrations" regarding delivery times and order lots for parts manufactured using the lost-wax method from a unique perspective. In fact, the manufacturing methods that are "business as usual" may not necessarily meet current needs. Bandai identified the challenges behind our customers' "troubles" and proposed a review of the manufacturing process. The hint that led to this was an unexpected technology...? ➡ For more details, please check "Download the Catalog"! Click below to explore other case studies that address similar concerns!

Case study of manufacturer product introduction: Replacement from a certain manufacturer's product to A&D products.

Introducing examples of replacing products from other manufacturers with A&D products!

We have been regularly proposing custom processing products and new materials to the materials manager of our client. When we suggested A&D products as materials deemed necessary for the equipment, we learned that they were struggling with delivery issues related to their current overseas manufacturer and were uncertain about how to proceed with the next project. Before presenting a quotation to the client, we discovered during discussions with A&D that there were no delivery specifications or construction manuals. To prevent any difficulties for the design team, we created the specifications and construction manual while continuing our discussions with A&D. We compiled everything into a single file and submitted it to the design team, successfully facilitating a smooth replacement. [Creation of Specifications and Construction Manual] ■ Specification Contents: Drawings of the component products, wiring diagrams for electrical connections ■ User Manual for Component Products: A concise user manual summarizing key points ■ Construction Manual Contents: A construction procedure manual using comic illustrations *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Case study of introducing processed products: Unusual parts request from an agricultural machinery manufacturer.

We will introduce a case of producing an extremely rare part that is generally not seen!

We would like to introduce a case where an agricultural machinery manufacturer was perplexed by the request for "quality stability" and "stable supply" of a super rare part known as the handling cylinder. From the sales know-how and information accumulated in our company, we caught wind that a processing company in Shikoku was manufacturing similar parts, and we approached that processing company for consultation. Upon conveying the current situation, we received advice that to enhance quality stability in mass production, dedicated jigs should be prepared. We communicated this to the agricultural machinery manufacturer and produced a prototype. It was decided to respond with automated production using robots. Following the advice, we manufactured dedicated jigs based on those specifications. Additionally, considering the transportation efficiency from Shikoku to our Shimane sales office, we created a "two-story transport rack." The prototype performed well, achieving an astonishing quality stability with a handling blade entry and exit amount of less than 0.02 mm. We successfully cleared the challenges of "quality stability" and "stable supply," and by redesigning the part and automating production, we also succeeded in reducing costs. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Case study of introducing non-processed products: Request for resolution of confusion from an automotive parts manufacturer.

Achieve up to 3 times the number of shots! Improve the tool life of punches with variability!

During a recent visit to a car parts manufacturer we have been working with, we discovered a large quantity of used punches. A 200L drum was filled with used punches measuring Φ8×27mm. Upon discussing the situation, they expressed concern about the unstable quality of the punches they are currently purchasing, which leads to variability in tool life and makes it difficult to calculate the timing for replacements. We promptly introduced them to our punch designer and conveyed the challenges faced on-site. Although the designer was initially at a loss, they explained a rough outline of a proposed solution based on their previous experience with custom machining, which led to the response, "Please go ahead with Bandai!" When we proposed an improvement plan using metal film coating to keep costs down, they replied, "We have tried that before, but it resulted in early breakage." From that information, we hypothesized that the heat generated during the coating process might be the cause and began to take measures. As a result, the previously unstable punch usage increased to an average of 15,000 shots, achieving a stable tool life that is approximately three times longer. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Case study of introducing processed products: Request for extending the lifespan of conveyor rollers.

Introducing a case study of producing rollers specialized in wear resistance with a limited budget!

During discussions with an automation equipment manufacturer, we caught wind of the information that "a certain part is experiencing early wear and requires countermeasures, but we are struggling to find a solution." Here, we would like to introduce a case where we responded to the client's request for extending the lifespan of conveyor rollers within a limited budget. We recalled a previous project where we extended the lifespan of cutting tools by forming a metal coating with properties harder than the tool itself on the surface, and decided to proceed with surface treatment. We consulted with Company A, a processing contractor renowned for its expertise in surface modification technology, and under the theme of "creating low-cost rollers specialized for wear resistance," both companies discussed the manufacturing process. Next, we explained the manufacturing process to the automation equipment manufacturer and moved on to prototype evaluation. As a result, we successfully completed a low-cost, high-performance product. [Results were favorable] - By using inexpensive materials for the roller body and applying superalloy only to the surface, we achieved low cost and wear resistance. - By simultaneously polishing the sprayed area and the bearing sections at both ends of the roller, we created a high-performance product that minimizes rotational runout. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Case study of introducing processed products: Request for solving challenges from an automatic machine manufacturer.

By creating dedicated tools, we have made it possible to produce 'non-standard processed products'!

Here is an example of a request for solving a difficult problem from an automation equipment manufacturer. We received an inquiry from an automation equipment manufacturer, with whom we have previously collaborated on many processed products, regarding a processed product to be used in a new development project for a leak testing device. The request was, "In order to securely hold the O-ring in the O-ring groove of the in-roller shaft, it is necessary to have a slope in the groove. Is this feasible?" We selected a processing company, explained the response details to the automation equipment manufacturer, and proceeded with prototype evaluation. Each iteration of the prototype increased the difficulty, but we finally resolved the challenging air leakage issue on the third attempt by tightening the slope to 24 degrees. By meeting the customer's needs and facilitating cooperation between the automation equipment manufacturer and the processing company through our company, we were able to solve the problems faced by the client. [Challenge] We want to add a groove to insert an O-ring for air leakage prevention in the in-roller section of a flange shaft, but if the groove shape is made straight, a phenomenon occurs where the O-ring is pulled by the pressed parts during repeated air leakage tests. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Case study of introducing processed products: Prototype request to the Shimane Processing Network.

Delivery of 150 types of processed parts within 3 weeks! A case of receiving an urgent request from a client!

We would like to introduce a case where we received an urgent request from a client in Ehime Prefecture to manufacture 150 types of processed parts within three weeks. Our company held a strategy meeting with processing contractors. Since sheet metal processing was the most common, we first visited Company A, which specializes in press and laser processing. We divided the processing assignments while consulting with the person in charge. For the ASSY parts, which seemed challenging, we decided to request Company B from the Shimane Processing Network, known for saying, "Leave it to us for prototypes." Although there was a possibility of delays due to heavy snowfall, we ultimately completed the project and received praise from the client, stating, "Despite the short delivery time, we are fully satisfied not only with the quality but also with the cost." **Summary** - The Shimane Processing Network has a close relationship and is concentrated in neighboring areas, allowing us to respond to requests that may seem impossible at first glance. - Our strength lies in our ability to handle everything from single-item processing to ASSY processing through welding with a sense of speed. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Manufacturer Product Introduction Case: Request for Cooperation on a Confidential Project Different from Core Business

I want to create a "machine tool" that drills or cuts holes in metals and other materials.

I would like to introduce a case where a client suddenly revealed their plan to launch a highly confidential project unrelated to their main business. The shocking content was their desire to create their own "machine tools" that drill or cut materials such as metals. Leveraging our extensive experience in developing machine tools, we decided to produce a simple test machine to identify issues. Next, we created a prototype (version 2) that reflected the improvement proposals, and as a result of data collection, we successfully demonstrated improvement effects, achieving a roundness of less than 3 microns, which was set as the standard value. The actual machine was deployed in the client's processing department and is now operating as a device responsible for part manufacturing. 【Request Details】 ■ Content: A client who was manufacturing entirely different products is creating machine tools they have no prior experience with. ■ Request Items: Completion of the project, including the role of advisor regarding the design and production of machine tools. ■ Points of Caution: Due to the confidential nature of the project, utmost care must be taken to ensure that information does not leak within the client's company. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
