We would like to introduce a case where we undertook contract development. The business of the customer for whom this system was built had characteristics such as "the main products handled are small pressed parts," "there are a very large number of item numbers, and a wide variety of product shapes for pressing," and "there is a need to accommodate production of many varieties and variations." Therefore, we developed an automatic design system for press molds that utilizes 3D data in a seamless process from design to processing. By using 3D data to automatically output manufacturing information, we reduced the design man-hours to one-tenth of the conventional amount.
