There was a customer's issue/request stating, "Due to wear and tear, if there is any misalignment in the transfer section during printing, it results in defective products due to missing characters, and we are manually wiping off the prints for reuse, which is time-consuming and labor-intensive. We would like this to be improved." By enabling the repurposing of work transport jigs that are familiar to the operators and produced in large quantities, we were able to reduce costs and receive positive feedback from the customer. In the conventional method where workpieces were manually loaded and retrieved, there were frequent delays due to labor shortages and human errors such as incorrect orientation. This led to instability in production efficiency, sometimes resulting in significant declines. Therefore, we implemented an automatic transport system with a stock function that allows for equal intervals, achieving approximately one hour of unmanned operation. This reduced the burden on operators, prevented the loading of different workpieces or incorrect orientations, and significantly improved production efficiency. Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce an improvement case utilizing the drop prevention mechanism of the "Depalletizing Hand" handled by Nagoya Seiko Co., Ltd. The Depalletizing Hand is a device that uses a hand mounted on a robot to suction grip and transfer paper bags stacked on a pallet. We addressed the issue of paper bags (kraft paper: contents = powder) measuring up to 800mm × 450mm × 160mm and weighing 30kg falling or dropping during transfer, which caused the bags to tear and the contents to scatter, with our product.
