To demonstrate the rust prevention effect of the NMR pipe protector, a certain amount of water must flow through the piping. In the Konan Chuo area where the rust prevention effect test was conducted, the minimum water usage for a 50A pipe was 4.4 tons per day, but only three households were using that water, resulting in a total water usage of 1 ton per day (an average of 350 liters per day per household), which is very low. In the Teramachi 2-chome area, the number of households using water for each branched pipe with a diameter of 50A was six and eight, respectively, with the six households using about 2 tons of water per day and the eight households having a total water usage of just under 3 tons per day. Due to insufficient water usage, a clear rust prevention effect could not be confirmed. However, in the Tsurumi Public Housing and Hazawa area, where similar verification tests were conducted, the conditions were met. In Tsurumi Public Housing, the red rust in the water supply pipe decreased from 0.27 mg/l to 0.12 mg/l six weeks after the installation of the NMR pipe protector, and an increase in residual chlorine concentration, which had been reduced due to red rust, was confirmed. In the Hazawa area, the residual chlorine concentration, which had decreased by 45.3%, improved significantly to a reduction of 13.6%. The Yokohama City Waterworks Bureau has concluded the tests as there are no more suitable locations to further test the rust prevention effect of the NMR pipe protector.

Free membership registrationAt a certain hotel, #HO, significant red rust corrosion had progressed in the vinyl-lined steel water supply pipes after 25 years of construction, raising concerns about leaks from the joints. Therefore, a rust prevention and pipe longevity device called the "NMR Pipe Protector" was installed. Before the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, a white filter was attached to the water supply faucet, and after running water for five days, the filter turned brown due to the red rust generated inside the water supply pipes, revealing that the iron content captured was 11 mg/l, indicating that the red rust corrosion in the pipes was quite advanced. One month after the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, a white filter was attached at the same location and under the same conditions as before installation, and the captured iron content significantly decreased to 1.3 mg/l. This proved that the red rust inside the pipes had transformed into black rust, which does not dissolve in water. If the NMR Pipe Protector continues to be used, it has been verified that all red rust in the pipes will change to black rust, and the cost will be less than one-fifth of the pipe replacement work, allowing the pipes to be extended for the lifespan of the building. Naturally, leaks will also be completely prevented.

Free membership registrationAt a certain hotel, #IP, the hot water supply piping made of heat-resistant vinyl-lined steel pipes had significant red rust corrosion after 31 years of construction, raising concerns about leaks from the joints. Therefore, a red rust prevention and piping extension device called "NMR Pipe Protector" was installed. Before the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, a white filter was attached to the hot water faucet, and after running water for six days, the filter turned brown due to red rust generated in the hot water piping, revealing that the captured iron content was 150 mg/l, indicating that red rust corrosion in the piping was quite advanced. One month after the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, a white filter was attached at the same location and under the same conditions as before, and the captured iron content decreased to 140 mg/l. Two months after installation, the iron content due to red rust further decreased to 17 mg/l, and the red rust in the piping transformed into black rust that does not dissolve in water, demonstrating the rust prevention effect and extension of the hot water piping's lifespan. At hotel #IP, it was verified that if the use of the NMR Pipe Protector continues, all red rust in the air conditioning chilled water piping will change to black rust, and the cost will be less than one-fifth of the piping replacement work, allowing the piping to be extended until the building's lifespan. Naturally, leaks have been completely prevented thereafter.

Free membership registrationAt Hotel #RF, which was built 38 years ago, significant red rust corrosion had progressed in the vinyl-lined steel water supply pipes, leading to leaks from the joints. Therefore, the red rust prevention and pipe longevity device "NMR Pipe Protector" was installed. Before the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, a white filter was attached to the water supply faucet, and after running water for four days, the filter turned brown due to the red rust present in the water supply pipes, revealing that the iron content captured was 40 mg/l, indicating that the red rust corrosion in the pipes was quite advanced. One month after the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, a white filter was attached at the same location and under the same conditions as before, and the captured iron content decreased to 23 mg/l. After six months of installation, the iron content further decreased to 14 mg/l, and the red rust in the pipes transformed into black rust that does not dissolve in water, demonstrating the rust prevention effect and longevity of the hot water supply pipes. It has been verified that if Hotel #RF continues to use the NMR Pipe Protector, all the red rust in the chilled and hot water supply pipes will change to black rust, allowing for pipe longevity at less than one-fifth the cost of pipe replacement work, extending the pipes' lifespan to that of the building. Naturally, leaks have been completely prevented since then.

Free membership registrationThe Legend Hotel Saigon is a building that is 7 years old and used galvanized steel pipes (SGP) for its water supply piping. Due to the high sulfur content in the water supplied from Ho Chi Minh City, red rust corrosion in the hotel's water supply pipes progressed very quickly, resulting in red water coming from the faucets in guest rooms within 6 to 7 years after completion. There were also concerns about potential future leaks. To address the red water issue caused by red rust in the water supply pipes, a plan for pipe replacement was considered; however, it was costly and required a water outage, which would necessitate halting hotel operations. As a solution, the "NMR Pipe Protector," a device for rust prevention and extending the life of pipes that does not require a water outage, was installed by a major Japanese general contractor. Before the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, very dark red water due to red rust was coming from the faucets, but 1.5 months after its installation, the water became almost clear, resolving complaints from the hotel. The NMR Pipe Protector has been proven to stop the progression of new red rust and convert the existing red rust in the pipes into inert black rust that does not dissolve in water.

Free membership registrationAt a certain hotel, when it was 40 years old, the deterioration of red rust in the air conditioning chilled and hot water piping made of galvanized steel pipes (SGP) was very advanced, and leaks were occurring at the joints. Therefore, a red rust prevention piping longevity device called "NMR Pipe Protector" was installed. Before the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, the amount of black rust in the red rust within the hotel's air conditioning chilled and hot water piping was 5.7%. However, six weeks after installation, the amount of black rust increased to 70.8%, demonstrating a relative increase of 1242.1%, proving that the red rust occurring in the air conditioning chilled and hot water piping was reduced to black rust. If the use of the NMR Pipe Protector continues in the future, all red rust in the air conditioning chilled and hot water piping will be reduced to inert black rust with a volume of 1/10, and as long as external corrosion does not occur, leaks from the air conditioning chilled and hot water piping will be prevented, extending the lifespan of the building. Naturally, the replacement of the air conditioning chilled and hot water piping will no longer be necessary.

Free membership registrationThe Royal Garden Hotel London, famous as a five-star hotel in London, was built in 1965 and currently has 400 rooms. Due to the iron pipes in the hotel's hot water circulation system, red water was coming out of the taps every morning. To prevent rust and leaks in the piping and to extend its lifespan, an NMR Pipe Protector was installed. Before the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, the iron content value due to red rust in the hot water supply during nighttime was very high at 2.79 mg/l. However, 25 days after the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, it decreased to 0.016 mg/l, and further decreased to 0.013 mg/l 36 days after installation, falling below the water quality standard value of 0.2 mg/l set by the UK Water Supply Act. This reduction was achieved as the existing red rust in the pipes was converted into black rust, which is an insoluble form with a volume 1/10 of the original, thereby demonstrating the anti-corrosion effect and lifespan extension of the air conditioning and hot water piping.

Free membership registrationHotel Toyokankaku is a 42-year-old building, and due to the use of galvanized steel pipes (SGP) for the hot water supply piping, issues such as leaks occurred, leading to frequent partial updates of the piping. However, there was still a serious issue with red water in the hot water supply piping in the guest room bathrooms, so we installed the rust prevention piping longevity device "NMR Pipe Protector." Before the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, the iron ion concentration in the circulating hot water was high at 4.3 mg/l, but four weeks after installation, the iron ion concentration in the hot water significantly decreased to 1.6 mg/l, and further decreased to 0.27 mg/l eight weeks after installation, completely eliminating the red water. From these results, it was demonstrated that the NMR Pipe Protector converted the red rust in the hot water piping to black rust, preventing the red rust from dissolving into the water and reducing the iron content in the hot water. It was proven that external corrosion was prevented, leaks were avoided by continuing to use the NMR Pipe Protector, and the hot water piping was extended to the lifespan of the building.

Free membership registrationThe Mandarin Oriental Hotel is a prestigious five-star hotel located in London. Due to the occurrence of red rust corrosion issues in the hot water supply piping (SGP) at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and concerns about leaks, two units of the red rust prevention and leak prevention device "NMR Pipe Protector" PT-75DS were installed at the header section of the circulating hot water supply piping. Before the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, the iron content in the water within the hot water supply piping was 13.35 mg/l, indicating significant progression of red rust corrosion. Four weeks after installation, the iron content in the hot water supply piping decreased to 0.0043 mg/l, and further, five weeks after installation, it dropped to below 0.004 mg/l. This demonstrated that the progression of red rust in the hot water supply piping was completely halted by the NMR Pipe Protector, and the existing red rust transformed into insoluble black rust with a volume reduction to one-tenth. It has been verified that if the Mandarin Oriental Hotel continues to use the NMR Pipe Protector, all red rust in the hot water supply piping will change to black rust, and the cost will be less than one-fifth of the piping replacement work, allowing the piping to be extended for the lifespan of the building. Naturally, leaks will be completely prevented thereafter.

Free membership registrationThe Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott Hotel, part of the world's largest five-star hotel chain, the Marriott Group, was built in 1878 and has 160 rooms. Due to the use of galvanized steel pipes for the hot water and water supply plumbing in the Marriott Hotel, very high iron levels were detected: 6 mg/l from the hot water plumbing and 3.46 mg/l from the water supply plumbing before the installation of the NMR pipe protector. The deterioration of red rust in the pipes was serious, including the presence of red water, raising concerns about future leaks. To eliminate the red water from the water supply and hot water plumbing, prevent red rust deterioration, and extend the life of the pipes, NMR pipe protectors were installed in both the water supply and hot water plumbing. Thirteen days after installation, the hot water and water supply (nighttime stagnant water) samples taken first thing in the morning were both clear, and the iron levels in the water had dropped to 0.007 mg/l, completely eliminating the red water. The reduction in iron levels prevented the formation of new red rust, and it was proven that the existing red rust in the pipes had transformed into a non-soluble volume of 1/10 of inert black rust. As a result, the formation of new red rust in the pipes was prevented, and the transformation of existing red rust into black rust demonstrated the effectiveness of the NMR pipe protector in preventing red rust and extending the life of the plumbing.

Free membership registrationThe Millennium Hotel London Mayfair is a historic building located in the heart of London, overlooking Grosvenor Square, which was once the residence of the Duchess of Kendal in the 18th century. To address the issues of red rust and leakage in the air conditioning hot water piping, the "NMR Pipe Protector," a rust prevention and pipe longevity device that does not require pipe removal or water shutdown during installation, was installed. Before the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, the iron content due to red rust in the air conditioning hot water piping was very high at 15.7 mg/l, indicating significant deterioration from red rust and raising concerns about leakage. To prevent this red rust and leakage, the "NMR Pipe Protector" was introduced. Six weeks after the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, the test results for the air conditioning hot water showed a significant reduction in iron content to 0.157 mg/l, completely preventing new red rust in the air conditioning cold and hot water piping, and it was proven that the existing red rust had transformed into black rust, which is insoluble in water and has a volume one-tenth that of red rust. If the NMR Pipe Protector continues to be used, all red rust in the piping will transform into black rust, preventing external corrosion and leakage, thereby extending the lifespan of the building.

Free membership registrationThe Hilton Hotel Portsmouth, located in the city of Portsmouth, is a five-star hotel that is globally renowned as part of the Hilton Group. Constructed in 1981, it has 120 guest rooms. Due to the use of galvanized steel pipes (SGP) for the air conditioning and hot water piping, the hotel faced serious issues with red rust deterioration and leaks after 25 years. Additionally, the red rust reduced the heat exchange efficiency of the air conditioning equipment, necessitating regular pipe cleaning. However, the cleaning process caused holes in the pipes, leading to further leaks. To stop the red rust corrosion and leaks in the air conditioning piping, an NMR Pipe Protector, a red rust prevention and prolongation device, was installed on December 9, 2005.

Free membership registrationThe Holiday Inn London Heathrow, built in the 1970s, is one of the largest hotels in the UK with a total of 617 rooms, located near Heathrow International Airport. The hotel faced serious leakage issues throughout its air conditioning piping due to extensive red rust corrosion, resulting in numerous holes in the pipes and water flooding in guest rooms and hallways. To address this, a red rust prevention extension device called the "NMR Pipe Protector" was installed on February 12, 2008. Seven days after the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, the iron content in the chilled water of the air conditioning system, caused by red rust, significantly decreased from 0.669 mg/l before installation to 0.017 mg/l, confirming the rust prevention effect of the NMR Pipe Protector. One year after installation, the iron content in the chilled water dropped to nearly zero at 0.007 mg/l, completely eliminating new leaks, and the red rust in the air conditioning piping transformed to almost 100% black rust, proving that the piping could be extended in lifespan until the building's end of life.

Free membership registrationAt Hotel #M, 21 years after its construction, the galvanized steel pipes (SGP) for the air conditioning chilled and hot water system were experiencing significant red rust deterioration, with a risk of leakage at the pipe joints. Therefore, a red rust prevention pipe longevity device called the "NMR Pipe Protector" was installed. Before the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, a sample of the circulating air conditioning chilled and hot water was taken from the hotel’s piping, revealing that the water was brown due to red rust in the pipes, with a total iron concentration of 28 mg/l, indicating severe red rust corrosion within the piping. Two weeks after the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, a water sample taken under the same conditions showed that the water color had become slightly transparent, and the total iron concentration had significantly decreased to 4.0 mg/l. A water sample taken six weeks after installation showed that the water color had become almost transparent, with the total iron concentration further reduced to 1.6 mg/l, proving that the progression of red rust within the pipes had completely stopped, and the existing red rust had transformed into an inert black rust that does not dissolve in water, with a volume reduced to one-tenth. At Hotel #M, it has been verified that if the use of the NMR Pipe Protector continues, all red rust in the air conditioning chilled and hot water pipes will change to black rust, and the costs will be less than one-fifth of the pipe replacement work, allowing the pipes to be extended for the lifespan of the building. Free membership registrationAt Hotel #T, when it was 29 years old, the red rust deterioration in the galvanized steel pipes (SGP) used for air conditioning chilled and hot water piping was very advanced, and leaks were occurring at the joints. Therefore, a red rust prevention piping longevity device called the "NMR Pipe Protector" was installed. Before the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, a sample of the chilled and hot water circulating in the pipes was taken, and the color of the water was brownish due to the red rust inside the pipes, with a total iron content of 29 mg/l, indicating that the red rust corrosion in the pipes was very advanced. Two weeks after the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, a water sample taken under the same conditions showed that the water was clear, and the total iron content had significantly decreased to 0.2 mg/l. Additionally, a water sample taken four weeks after installation under the same conditions also showed a total iron content of 0.2 mg/l, confirming that the red rust deterioration had been completely prevented, and the red rust inside the pipes had transformed into black rust, which does not dissolve in water and has a volume one-tenth that of the red rust. At Hotel #T, it has been verified that if the use of the NMR Pipe Protector continues, all red rust in the air conditioning chilled and hot water pipes will change to black rust, and the cost will be less than one-fifth of the cost of pipe replacement work, allowing the pipes to be extended for the lifespan of the building. Free membership registrationIn this property, galvanized steel pipes (SGP) are used for the water supply piping, and at 35 years old, the pipes were diagnosed to have a lifespan of only 2 months due to frequent leaks and the occurrence of red water. To prevent red rust and extend the life of the pipes, an "NMR Pipe Protector" was installed. In the water quality test before installation, the iron content was 0.5 mg/l, and there was a significant occurrence of red water. However, six days after installation, the iron content dropped to below 0.05 mg/l, and the red water was completely resolved. Subsequently, water quality tests conducted 14 years and 20 years after installation showed that red rust had completely disappeared, and new leaks were entirely prevented, proving the rehabilitation of the piping. [Effects After Installation] ■ Water quality test six days after installation showed iron content below 0.05 mg/l, and red water was completely resolved. ■ Water quality tests 14 years and 20 years after installation showed that red rust had completely disappeared. ■ New leaks were entirely prevented, proving the rehabilitation of the piping. ■ Pipes with a statutory useful life of 15 years were extended by 40 years, maintaining a condition free from red rust deterioration until 55 years old. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThis property has been in existence for 37 years, and due to the use of SGP (galvanized steel pipes) for the water supply pipes, there has been an occurrence of red water. Additionally, updating the piping requires a huge cost, and the necessary water outage work during the piping update could not be carried out due to business operations within the building, making it impossible to repair the piping. Therefore, we adopted the "NMR Pipe Protector," which prevents the occurrence of red rust in the pipes by converting it to black rust without allowing red rust to leak out, thus extending the life of the piping. Two months after installation, the complete leaching of red rust stopped, and three months after installation, an analysis of the black rust mass in the piping showed that 63.5% of black rust was confirmed. [Introduction Overview] ■ Before installation: The iron ion concentration in the water inside the pipes was 2.2 mg/l, with a color degree of 50. ■ Effects after installation: - Two months after installation, the complete leaching of red rust stopped. - Three months after installation, an analysis of the black rust mass in the piping confirmed 63.5% black rust. - Even after 20 years, the water supply piping continues to be used without any red rust issues. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationIn a food processing factory that is 11 years old, a large amount of chlorine was used to suppress the growth of slime caused by bacteria in the cooling tower. To reduce the amount of chlorine being used, an "NMR Pipe Protector" was installed. Even with the chlorine input reduced to one-third, the growth of algae in the cooling tower was effectively suppressed. Additionally, the number of general bacteria (contaminants) decreased from 640 to 270, and the turbidity value, which increases due to organic matter contamination, was significantly reduced from 8 degrees to 3 degrees, within the water quality standards. Free membership registrationIn August 1998, an "NMR Pipe Protector" was installed in the cooling water circulation piping of the welding robot cooling line located within a major automobile manufacturer’s factory in Fukuoka Prefecture to prevent red rust scale. Before installation, red rust from the cooling water piping would leach out, entering the narrow cooling tubes of the body welding robots, causing blockages that resulted in the welding robots stopping, which took over 15 minutes to recover. Nine months after installation, the cooling water piping was inspected, and the amount of black rust compared to the red rust before installation increased significantly from 4% to 43.6%. Additionally, line stoppages were completely prevented. [Challenges] ■ Red rust leaching from the internal cooling water piping ■ Entry into the narrow cooling tubes of the body welding robots, causing blockages ■ Recovery from welding robot stoppages taking over 15 minutes ■ Damage costs exceeding 6 million yen per incident *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationAt that time, the facility had been in operation for 42 years, and there were significant concerns about the corrosion of the hot water supply piping, which led to the adoption of the "NMR Pipe Protector." Before the installation of this product, the amount of black rust in the piping was 0.9%, but after 6 months of actual operation following installation, it increased to 16.9%, a relative increase of 1877.7%. The reduction of red rust to magnetite (black rust) has been demonstrated. In the future, if all the red rust turns into black rust, the piping will not require replacement as long as external corrosion does not occur. 【Introduction Overview】 ■ Location: Shibuya, Tokyo ■ Building Overview: 42 years old, 9-story office building ■ Installation Date: January 27, 2016 ■ Installed Piping: Cooling water pump primary side hot water supply piping (SGP pipe 200mm) ■ Number of Installations: PT-200DS × 1 unit *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe university's air conditioning hot water piping has been plagued by issues related to internal red rust, and although a sacrificial anode was introduced in 2008 as a countermeasure, the progression of red rust did not stop. Additionally, a rust inhibitor was administered once a year, but there was no change in the iron content in the water before and after the use of the rust inhibitor, raising concerns about its effects on human health. Therefore, in order to remove red rust and single-celled bacteria while maintaining the strength of the piping, an "NMR Pipe Protector PT-75DS" was installed in the air conditioning hot water piping (return pipe) of the Todd Building on campus. The iron content in the water, which was 43.81 mg/l before installation, decreased to 17.95 mg/l three weeks after installation. Free membership registrationAt Whittington Hospital, galvanized steel pipes (SGP) had been used for hot water piping for over 30 years, resulting in the daily occurrence of dark red water and concerns about leaks. Before the installation of the "NMR Pipe Protector," the iron content in the hot water was very high at 7.33 mg/l, and the deterioration of red rust in the pipes was quite advanced. However, after 19 days post-installation, the iron content in the hot water decreased to 0.388 mg/l. After 29 days post-installation, it further reduced to 0.077 mg/l, which is 1/100 of the initial value, completely preventing the deterioration of red rust. It was proven that the red rust in the pipes transformed into insoluble and passive black rust in water at a volume of 1/10. [Effects After Installation] - After 19 days post-installation, the iron content in the hot water decreased to 0.388 mg/l. - After 29 days post-installation, it further reduced to 0.077 mg/l, completely preventing the deterioration of red rust. - By preventing external corrosion, this piping can be used for 100 years or even 200 years as long as the building remains standing. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationThe 250th branch, located in the Bishops Gate area of London, which was built 18 years ago, had issues with red rust deterioration in its air conditioning system. To address the red rust in the piping, a rust inhibitor was being used, but there were environmental concerns. On March 23, 2018, "NMR Pipe Protector" was installed in the air conditioning hot water piping. One year after installation, the bank conducted its own follow-up survey, which showed that the iron content was at a very low level of 0.03 mg/l, confirming that the rust prevention effect in the piping persisted after one year. Furthermore, it was demonstrated that by continuing to use this product in the future, red rust would be reduced to a stable black rust, protecting the piping and extending its lifespan to match that of the building. [Effects After Installation] - Six weeks after installation, the iron content in the water was measured under the same conditions as before installation, showing a decrease from 1.1 mg/l to 0.41 mg/l. - One year after installation, the iron content was at a very low level of 0.03 mg/l. - It was demonstrated that protecting the piping would extend its lifespan to match that of the building. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThis property is 12 years old and uses vinyl-lined steel pipes (VLP) for the water supply pipe joints. The estimated cost for future renovation work to replace them with stainless steel pipes as a measure against future red rust blockage is expected to exceed 100 million yen per building. Additionally, when measuring the red rust blockage rate at the dissimilar metal joints of the kitchen water supply pipes in two units, the rates were found to be 77.5% and 37.3%. By introducing the "NMR Pipe Protector" at a cost of less than one-twentieth of that, the red rust issue was resolved. After 12 months of installation, the red rust blockage rates significantly decreased to 60.0% and 31.0%, and prevention of red rust and the occurrence of black rust were confirmed. [Effects After Installation] - After 12 months of installation, the red rust blockage rates significantly decreased to 60.0% and 31.0%, confirming the prevention of red rust and the occurrence of black rust. - After 27 months of installation, it was confirmed that the red rust had transformed into black rust, with a volume reduction to one-tenth, showing rates of 58.5% and 23.3%. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationIn the Huong Canh area of the Water Supply Bureau in Binh Phuc Province, Vietnam, cast iron pipes (150A) have been in use for 15 years, leading to the progression of red rust corrosion inside the pipes, which resulted in the regular occurrence of red water. To address this red water issue, a red rust prevention device called the "NMR Pipe Protector" was installed at the base of the cast iron water supply pipes (150A). Before installation, the water color and the amount of red rust at the sampling points located 500m north, 300m west, and 600m south of the installation site were as follows: the northern point had a light brown color with 7.0 mg/l of red rust, the western point had a brown color with 8.0 mg/l, and the southern point had a dark brown color with 23 mg/l. Two weeks after installation, the northern point showed a lighter color and a reduction in red rust to 4.6 mg/l. The western point nearly lost its color, decreasing to 2.0 mg/l. The southern point changed to a light brown color with a reduction to 12 mg/l. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationShepperton Film Studios (Hotel) is a historic filming studio located in Surrey, on the outskirts of London. The first building was constructed in 1689, and after suffering a fire, it was rebuilt in 1902 and later renovated in 1936 to serve as a hotel for film actors. There was an issue with red rust in the plumbing, but plumbing work could not be done as it would affect the appearance of the building, which is registered as a Grade II cultural heritage site. Therefore, the NMR Pipe Protector PT-30DS was installed in the hot water plumbing to prevent red rust without affecting the building's exterior. In the men's restroom, where galvanized steel pipes are used, the iron content in the water of the hot water plumbing was 20 mg/l before the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, but it decreased to 0.37 mg/l after 10 weeks of installation. In the first-floor kitchen, the iron content reduced from 14.5 mg/l before installation to 0.386 mg/l after 10 weeks. From the above, it can be concluded that the occurrence of new red rust in the hot water plumbing has been completely prevented, and the existing red rust has transformed into black rust, which is passive and insoluble in water, thereby proving the rust prevention effectiveness of the NMR Pipe Protector.

Free membership registrationThis property has been in existence for 33 years, and due to significant red rust blockage at the joints of the water supply pipes made of different metals, we adopted the pipe rehabilitation device "NMR Pipe Protector." Before the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, a white filter was attached to the kitchen sink water supply faucet for seven days, during which the filter became discolored brown due to red rust generated in the water supply pipes. After dissolving the captured iron content with purified water and measuring the iron concentration, it was found that the iron level in the water was 21 mg/l, indicating that the red rust corrosion in the pipes was quite advanced. One month after installation, a white filter was attached under the same conditions as before, and it was confirmed that the filter's discoloration had reduced to light brown, with the iron concentration decreasing significantly to 5.8 mg/l. Additionally, six months after installation, a white filter was again attached under the same conditions, and it was confirmed that the filter's discoloration had nearly returned to white, with the iron concentration further decreasing significantly to 0.75 mg/l. From this, it can be concluded that just one month after the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, the progression of red rust was completely halted, and at the same time, the surface of the red rust in the water supply pipes transformed into a non-soluble black rust, resulting in a reduction of iron leaching into the water and a decrease in filter discoloration.

Free membership registrationSt. Ignatius Church, also known as the Catholic Kojimachi Church, is a historic church adjacent to Sophia University that has existed since before the war. Four years ago, it was found that the red rust deterioration in the air conditioning chilled and hot water piping, which is 19 years old, was progressing. Therefore, an evaluation of the rust prevention effect of the "NMR Pipe Protector," a red rust prevention extension device, was conducted. Before the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, a sample of the circulating chilled and hot water was taken, revealing that the water was brownish in color. Water quality testing detected a total iron concentration of 240 mg/l, indicating significant progression of red rust corrosion within the piping. After installing the NMR Pipe Protector, a water sample was tested two weeks later, showing that the water had become almost clear, with the total iron concentration due to red rust reduced to 2.7 mg/l, a significant decrease. At the same time that the progression of red rust was halted, the surface red rust within the chilled and hot water piping and the red rust in the water transformed into inert black rust that does not dissolve in water. This provided verification of the rust prevention effect of the NMR Pipe Protector within the chilled and hot water piping. This result was featured in an article published on July 18, 2018, in issue 2737 of "Air Conditioning Times," which reported on the verification of the rust prevention effect of the NMR Pipe Protector at St. Ignatius Church.

Free membership registrationThe British Museum in London is one of the most famous museums in the world, housing over 8 million works of art, of which 150,000 are displayed in succession. The museum is 264 years old and has issues with red rust sludge in its air conditioning hot water piping. To prevent damage to the artworks caused by leaks in the piping, it was necessary to protect the pipes. Therefore, the "NMR Pipe Protector" was installed, which does not require cutting the pipes and protects them from leaks and red water caused by red rust, allowing the pipes to be safeguarded for over 40 years. Before the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, the iron content in the water was 20 mg/l, but one week after installation, the iron content decreased to 12.2 mg/l. It continued to decrease, and it was confirmed that the iron content had reduced to 0.2 mg/l five weeks after installation. As a result, new red rust corrosion in the pipes was completely halted, and the existing red rust was reduced to black rust, proving that the pipes were protected. Thanks to the effectiveness of the NMR Pipe Protector, the air conditioning hot water piping can be used for as long as the building exists.
