0214 Preventing Blocking of Wet Powder

Introducing examples of preventing resin powder blocking inside the hopper.

We addressed an issue at a resin manufacturing company where "the resin powder was blocking in the hopper, making it impossible to extract with the twin-screw feeder." In this case, the raw material had a high moisture content, so the operating pressure was also set higher (resulting in increased air consumption). Additionally, due to the installation of multiple units (20 units), we used a controller with 10 solenoid valves to sequentially turn on the air for two units at a time. 【Flow of Problem Resolution】 1. To improve the discharge issues from the cement silo with a 45° cone slope and gentle incline, we introduced the "Brodisk." Originally, the existing silo was addressed with aeration using air nozzles, but based on our experience, we believe the installation location was too high, and the gentle cone slope contributed to the problem. After installing the "Brodisk" in the position we recommended, the discharge issues were resolved!
