Avoid the risk of powder compaction and bridging! Here are some successful cases where it has been adopted.

We received an inquiry from the planning stage of a new plant and would like to introduce a case that was adopted. It is a φ800 hopper, but with a total height of over 5000, powder is compacted at the bottom, and to avoid the risk of bridging, we were consulted about installing a blow disk and requested advice on the model and arrangement. Air ON with 8 Brodisks in pairs with a time difference! Introducing a case study that solved the user's challenges.

We would like to introduce a case where we were consulted about wanting to solve a problem using a Brodie disk due to strong adhesion and the potential for rat holes. The material appears to have stronger adhesion than typical aluminum hydroxide. Therefore, we decided to install a slightly larger number of Brodie disks (BD-15 type), totaling 8, for the φ1200 hopper. The arrangement of these 8 disks consists of 2 in the lower section, 2 in the middle section, and 4 in the upper section. The control system uses a controller (C-SV4) with 4 solenoid valves to activate the 8 Brodie disks in pairs with a time delay. We would like to introduce a case where we received an inquiry about difficulties with a bridge made of titanium dioxide (less than 1μm). It was clear that the situation was not improving due to shocks and vibrations, and we were asked to propose suitable models and arrangements using a blow disk. Examples of our equipment being widely adopted in various fields using quicklime, other chemicals, fly ash, etc.!

We will introduce an example of how we resolved a problem with the discharge of descaling agents from the flue gas treatment silo of the incinerator. Initially, there were no issues when receiving the agent from the tank truck into the storage silo, but as the storage volume decreased to a certain extent, it formed a rat hole and stopped discharging. By installing eight standard blow discs (BD-15) and using a controller (C-SV4) with four built-in solenoid valves to sequentially turn on the air for two blow discs at a time with a time delay, we achieved good results. Easily solved at low cost! A case study introducing the standard Brodisk model BD-15S-B.

We received a consultation regarding the transportation of a powder container tank by truck, where the materials inside the tank became compacted due to vibrations during transport, making it impossible to discharge. We installed a total of four BD-15S-B standard blow discs, one on each side. During discharge, we manually turn on the air, but first, we repeat turning on the air 2-3 times for a few seconds while the butterfly valve is closed.
