At the gypsum board dust collection hopper.

Turn on 8 Brodisks in pairs with a time delay! A case where the customer's issue was resolved without any problems.

We would like to introduce a case where a "blow disk" was installed in the hopper section of a dust collector at a recycling factory. The customer faced issues with the dust collector hopper, where a bridge (powder clogging) occurred above the discharge rotary valve during the crushing of gypsum boards. The square hopper retained powder in all four corners, leading to a blockage of the discharge section when the residual material fell all at once. We placed one blow disk (Type 15) slightly above the discharge section on each side, and additionally, one more of the same type of blow disk was positioned at the corners of the hopper above this, resulting in a total of 8 blow disks (2 per side). By using a controller (C-SV4) equipped with 4 solenoid valves, we activated the 8 blow disks in pairs with a time delay, effectively resolving the customer's issues without any problems. 【Equipment and Other Conditions】 ■ Hopper Dimensions: 1500×1500 ■ Discharge Section Dimensions: 200×200 ■ Discharge Device: Rotary Valve ■ Material: Crushed Gypsum Board (Dust) *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

0694 Prevention of rat holes in talc (tire-related)

The troubles of bridge, rat hole, and powder clogging were resolved more easily than the customer's expectations!

We would like to introduce a case study of the implementation of "Brodisk" at a tire-related business. The company's challenge was to eliminate and prevent talc rat holes. While blockages at the discharge point were resolved by tapping, rat holes remained, and the powder remaining on the hopper wall was quite compacted. In our company, we installed one Brodisk (Type 15) near the discharge area on each of the four sides of a square hopper, and one more above that, offset from the center left and right, resulting in two Brodisks per side, for a total of eight Brodisks. Using a controller C-SV4 equipped with four solenoid valves, we aerated the eight Brodisks two at a time, and the customer's problem was resolved in one go. [Case Summary (Partial)] ■ Hopper Conditions - Size: 800×800 - Discharge Area: 150×150 - Discharge Device: RV *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Elimination of remaining carbon black emissions.

There are many varieties of materials, and we received high praise from the customer for solving everything!

We would like to introduce a case where the issue of residual discharge occurring in the weighing hopper was resolved using a "Blow Disk." A customer consulted us, stating that there was a significant amount of residue adhering in the carbon black weighing hopper, and although they attempted to address it with a knocker and a vibrator, it was unsuccessful. They inquired whether the Blow Disk could help. We lent our product to the customer, who installed it in a dummy hopper and confirmed the air injection and vibration. After reviewing the hopper design, we provided recommendations for the appropriate model and configuration. As a result of the implementation, the residual amount was reduced to about 500g. The customer praised us highly, noting that there are many types of materials, and we were able to resolve the issue for all of them. [Implementation Overview] ■ Hopper Dimensions: Ø1000 ■ Discharge Section Dimensions: 200A *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

0699 Elastic disk: Delivery of the Byton Brody Disk Mini.

Replace the material of the elastic disk with the standard specification of special silicone, and we would like it to be made of fluororubber (Viton)!

We would like to introduce a case study regarding the delivery of the Baiton Brodisk Mini. We received an inquiry from a customer in the electronic components industry stating, "We are unable to effectively resolve the clogging of powder materials (bridging phenomenon). Hitting it with a resin hammer has no effect, and using a vibrator only compresses the powder further. How can we prevent the bridging of the powder?" The results of the implementation have been favorable. Since it is a measure using air aeration, the powder does not become overly compacted, and there is no damage to the hopper. [Container Details] ■ Eccentric Hopper ■ Diameter: Φ350 ■ Outlet Diameter: Φ50 ■ Inclination Angle (gentle slope side): 60° ■ Inclination Angle (steep slope side): vertical *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Elimination of residual resin powder and resin chips in the suction transport hopper.

Introducing a case study on the installation of a hopper for the suction transport of resin chips and resin powder!

We would like to introduce a case where the residual resin powder and resin chips in the suction hopper were eliminated. The customer was discharging and transporting materials by suctioning horizontally from the bottom of the hopper, but there was a problem where materials remained on the opposite side and sides of the suction inlet, rendering the level switch ineffective due to this residue. We installed one blow disk of type BD-15 on each of the three sides, excluding the side with the suction inlet. Using a controller C-SV1 with one built-in solenoid valve, we simultaneously aerated all three disks. The air ON and OFF times were determined based on the observed effects on-site. 【Process Leading to Implementation】 1. Consultation from the customer (disclosure of hopper drawings and contents) 2. Mounting on the hopper of the powder roll feeder.

The results are good! There is no longer any occurrence of bridging even with very fine A powder.

This is a case study of measures taken to prevent bridging in a mixture of powder A and powder B. Powder A has an average particle diameter of about 3 μm, while powder B is coarse. There are several mixing ratios, but in many cases, bridging does not occur with the installation of partition plates in the hopper. However, when the proportion of powder A exceeds a certain level, bridging could not be resolved with partition plates or vibrators. We reviewed the powder samples and hopper diagrams, and based on our past experience, we suggested arrangements. We lent out samples, and the customer made the decision to implement them. The results were favorable, and bridging no longer occurred even with very fine powder A alone. [Case Overview] ■ Hopper Size: 800 (inclined surface) × 500 (vertical surface) ■ Arrangement: 2 breeding disks installed per inclined surface, totaling 4 disks ■ Control: 4 breeding disks controlled by controller C-SV1 *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

0514 Measures to prevent clogging of titanium dioxide

Easily solved with Brodisk! We will provide guidance on selecting models and arrangements that meet the user's requirements.

We would like to introduce a case where a user experiencing significant issues with the discharge of titanium oxide reached out to us. The size of the hopper in question is 500×500, and if the flowability of the powder is quite poor, it is generally recommended to use at least four blow discs (standard type: BD-15). Initially, four BD-20 type blow discs were adopted, and aeration was performed manually under various conditions. As a result, it was determined that it is preferable to sequentially turn on the air for each of the four blow discs with a time delay, and a controller (with four built-in solenoid valves) was adopted for this purpose. 【Key Points of This Equipment】 ■ The elastic disc (silicone) is very important in terms of strength and durability, especially considering the risk of foreign material contamination. The silicone discs in our equipment are exceptionally strong and durable. Once you use them, you will understand! ■ Control (how to aerate?) is crucial! We provide guidance on what should be done. The hopper has been deformed into a bumpy shape due to hammering! We received high praise for its significant improvement compared to before.

We would like to introduce a case where our bridge breaker "Brodisk" was utilized in the development department of a chemical manufacturer. There were many types of powders used, and about half of them experienced flow issues from the hopper, leading to problems such as rat-hole formation even after stirring with a rod. Additionally, the hopper was deformed due to hammering, and our device was adopted in line with the hopper's refurbishment. Although it is used manually (with manual air ON/OFF), we have received high praise for the significant improvement compared to before. 【Case Overview】 ■ Hopper dimensions: 600×600 ■ Discharge dimensions: 100A ■ Powder particle size: approximately 10 to 100 microns ■ Powder bulk density: 0.2 to 0.6 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

0504 At the grain crushing device

Sample pieces are also available! We received high praise from users for "excellent results."

Due to the contents getting stuck in the reducer at the bottom of the grinding product tank of the grain grinding device, we would like to introduce a case that was adopted. After an inquiry from the customer, there was a request to see the actual product, so we installed the standard Broady Disk model "BD-15" on a resin plate that simulated the hopper wall and lent it out. The client connected air to it, and although it was just the Broady Disk alone, they confirmed the air injection and the vibration of the elastic disk. They commented, especially regarding the vibration, "It's beyond our expectations! It seems we can achieve sufficient effect!" After that, discussions were held regarding the arrangement and control of the Broady Disk, leading to its adoption. [Case Overview] ■ Material: Soybean grinding product ■ Installed reducer dimensions: Approximately φ600 → φ150 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
