We would like to introduce a case where a "blow disk" was installed in the hopper section of a dust collector at a recycling factory. The customer faced issues with the dust collector hopper, where a bridge (powder clogging) occurred above the discharge rotary valve during the crushing of gypsum boards. The square hopper retained powder in all four corners, leading to a blockage of the discharge section when the residual material fell all at once. We placed one blow disk (Type 15) slightly above the discharge section on each side, and additionally, one more of the same type of blow disk was positioned at the corners of the hopper above this, resulting in a total of 8 blow disks (2 per side). By using a controller (C-SV4) equipped with 4 solenoid valves, we activated the 8 blow disks in pairs with a time delay, effectively resolving the customer's issues without any problems. 【Equipment and Other Conditions】 ■ Hopper Dimensions: 1500×1500 ■ Discharge Section Dimensions: 200×200 ■ Discharge Device: Rotary Valve ■ Material: Crushed Gypsum Board (Dust) *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case study of the implementation of "Brodisk" at a tire-related business. The company's challenge was to eliminate and prevent talc rat holes. While blockages at the discharge point were resolved by tapping, rat holes remained, and the powder remaining on the hopper wall was quite compacted. In our company, we installed one Brodisk (Type 15) near the discharge area on each of the four sides of a square hopper, and one more above that, offset from the center left and right, resulting in two Brodisks per side, for a total of eight Brodisks. Using a controller C-SV4 equipped with four solenoid valves, we aerated the eight Brodisks two at a time, and the customer's problem was resolved in one go. [Case Summary (Partial)] ■ Hopper Conditions - Size: 800×800 - Discharge Area: 150×150 - Discharge Device: RV *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case study regarding the delivery of the Baiton Brodisk Mini. We received an inquiry from a customer in the electronic components industry stating, "We are unable to effectively resolve the clogging of powder materials (bridging phenomenon). Hitting it with a resin hammer has no effect, and using a vibrator only compresses the powder further. How can we prevent the bridging of the powder?" The results of the implementation have been favorable. Since it is a measure using air aeration, the powder does not become overly compacted, and there is no damage to the hopper. Free membership registrationThis is a case study of measures taken to prevent bridging in a mixture of powder A and powder B. Powder A has an average particle diameter of about 3 μm, while powder B is coarse. There are several mixing ratios, but in many cases, bridging does not occur with the installation of partition plates in the hopper. However, when the proportion of powder A exceeds a certain level, bridging could not be resolved with partition plates or vibrators. We reviewed the powder samples and hopper diagrams, and based on our past experience, we suggested arrangements. We lent out samples, and the customer made the decision to implement them. The results were favorable, and bridging no longer occurred even with very fine powder A alone. [Case Overview] ■ Hopper Size: 800 (inclined surface) × 500 (vertical surface) ■ Arrangement: 2 breeding disks installed per inclined surface, totaling 4 disks ■ Control: 4 breeding disks controlled by controller C-SV1 *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case where a model with metal powder mixed into the elastic disk (the air discharge part of the blow disk) was used, so that if the elastic disk were to accidentally break and mix into the powder, it could be detected by metal detectors or X-ray inspection machines. While it is mostly used in the food industry, this time it was adopted by a customer in the cosmetics sector. Since the discharge diameter is quite small, it is very important to implement blockage measures just above this point. We installed two Blow Disk Minis at this location and two more Blow Disk Minis 50mm above this point. A total of four Blow Disk Minis are controlled simultaneously using the C-SV1 controller, which has four solenoid valves, to turn the air ON and OFF. 【Case Overview】 ■ Hopper Diameter: Ø350 ■ Discharge Section: 2S ■ Target Material: Cosmetic raw materials (very fine / particle size undisclosed, name undisclosed) *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case where a user experiencing significant issues with the discharge of titanium oxide reached out to us. The size of the hopper in question is 500×500, and if the flowability of the powder is quite poor, it is generally recommended to use at least four blow discs (standard type: BD-15). Initially, four BD-20 type blow discs were adopted, and aeration was performed manually under various conditions. As a result, it was determined that it is preferable to sequentially turn on the air for each of the four blow discs with a time delay, and a controller (with four built-in solenoid valves) was adopted for this purpose. 【Key Points of This Equipment】 ■ The elastic disc (silicone) is very important in terms of strength and durability, especially considering the risk of foreign material contamination. The silicone discs in our equipment are exceptionally strong and durable. Once you use them, you will understand! ■ Control (how to aerate?) is crucial! We provide guidance on what should be done. The elastic disk (silicone disk) of this equipment boasts extremely high durability compared to general silicone rubber. It also complies with food sanitation laws, and related documents can be submitted. Please let us know if you need them. 【Case Overview】 ■ Hopper ・Diameter: φ500 ・Discharge diameter: φ150 ・Slope: 45° (the gentlest part) ■ Target Material: Grain powder ■ Broady Disk Arrangement ・Three standard broady disks are installed mainly at the gentler slope. 【Key Points of This Equipment】 ■ The elastic disk (silicone) is very important in terms of strength and durability due to the risk of foreign matter contamination. The silicone disk of this equipment is exceptionally strong and durable. Once you use it, you will understand! ■ Control (how to aerate?) is crucial! We provide guidance on what to do. A dedicated controller is also available. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationAt the chemical manufacturer's plant, the dewatered cake is stored in a hopper before being supplied to the drying equipment. However, a rat hole forms in this hopper, which is why they adopted our bridge breaker. After reviewing the hopper drawings and samples, we provided examples of the equipment layout and control. For the layout, we proposed a total of 7 Brody disks (standard type): 3 disks on the central inclined surface of the three surfaces, and 2 disks each on the remaining two adjacent surfaces. Since the user wanted to test the equipment, we lent them these 7 disks, and they confirmed the effectiveness through manual air injection. The test results were favorable, and they have since adopted the equipment along with a controller for automatic control. [Case Summary] ■ Target: Unknown name (although it is a dewatered cake, it appears powdery) ■ Hopper Overview: Approximately 2000×1200 with three inclined surfaces (one surface is vertical) ■ Discharge: Dual-axis feeder *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe incineration ash is said to form a rat hole shape in the dust collector hopper, so we would like to introduce a case where our bridge breaker "Brodisk" was adopted as a countermeasure. The arrangement of the Brodisk consists of three units on one side, with a total of 11 units installed, as only one of the four sides has an LS. In this case, the following details were used to resolve the issue. 【Usage Overview】 ■ Hopper dimensions: Approximately 2000×2000 ■ Target material: Incineration ash (quicklime) ■ Existing countermeasure: Air injection in the discharge direction (ineffective against rat holes) ■ Control - The Brodisk is activated sequentially with a time delay, with two units (only one at one location) controlled by a controller that incorporates six solenoid valves. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationHere is a case study of our adoption by a chemical manufacturer. "We experienced significant adhesion of flake-like material on the interior surface of the hopper, and despite installing numerous buff finishes and knockers, it was unsuccessful," they contacted us. The customer's requests were twofold: to borrow the equipment for effectiveness verification and to provide sample pieces for evaluating the resistance of the equipment's elastic disk (silicone disk). We responded promptly to the above requests, and after the customer conducted confirmation tests, they determined it to be effective and adopted our solution. [Case Overview] - Hopper Diameter: φ800 - Discharge Diameter: φ300 - Target Material: Chemical products, flake ground products, approximately 50-200μm *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case where the issue of maintaining quantitative supply was resolved by installing this equipment due to the bridging occurring in the hopper of the quantitative feeder (screw feeder). Five BroaDisk "BD-15S-B" units and one controller "C-SV4" were installed. Although the fourth solenoid valve was not used this time, it can be utilized in the future if additional BroaDisks are installed. 【Case Overview】 ■ Hopper: 1200×1500, 3 inclined surfaces (1 vertical) ■ Arrangement - 2 units on each of the 2 surfaces along the screw - 1 unit on the remaining inclined surface - A total of 5 units installed ■ Target materials: Lime powder, cement, etc. 【Key Points of This Equipment】 ■ The elastic disk (silicone) is very important in terms of strength and durability, especially considering the risk of foreign material contamination. The silicone disk of this equipment is exceptionally strong and durable. Once you use it, you will understand! ■ Control (how to aerate?) is crucial! We provide guidance on what should be done. A dedicated controller is also available. * For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case where our bridge breaker "Brodisk" was utilized in the development department of a chemical manufacturer. There were many types of powders used, and about half of them experienced flow issues from the hopper, leading to problems such as rat-hole formation even after stirring with a rod. Additionally, the hopper was deformed due to hammering, and our device was adopted in line with the hopper's refurbishment. Although it is used manually (with manual air ON/OFF), we have received high praise for the significant improvement compared to before. 【Case Overview】 ■ Hopper dimensions: 600×600 ■ Discharge dimensions: 100A ■ Powder particle size: approximately 10 to 100 microns ■ Powder bulk density: 0.2 to 0.6 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationDue to the contents getting stuck in the reducer at the bottom of the grinding product tank of the grain grinding device, we would like to introduce a case that was adopted. After an inquiry from the customer, there was a request to see the actual product, so we installed the standard Broady Disk model "BD-15" on a resin plate that simulated the hopper wall and lent it out. The client connected air to it, and although it was just the Broady Disk alone, they confirmed the air injection and the vibration of the elastic disk. They commented, especially regarding the vibration, "It's beyond our expectations! It seems we can achieve sufficient effect!" After that, discussions were held regarding the arrangement and control of the Broady Disk, leading to its adoption. [Case Overview] ■ Material: Soybean grinding product ■ Installed reducer dimensions: Approximately φ600 → φ150 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationAs a countermeasure for bridging in a small hopper, we received a request from the customer to borrow equipment for testing. Upon reviewing the hopper diagram, we determined that four Brody Disk Minis would be appropriate. However, when the Brody Disk Minis are installed on a flat surface (in this case, it is a corner hopper and installed flat), a high-pitched sound occurs. We informed them that if the air ON time is short, it would not be too bothersome, and proceeded with the test. The results were favorable, and they decided to introduce the Brody Disk Minis along with the controller. [Case Overview] ■ Subject: Heavy calcium carbonate (Product name: Micron Cal) ■ Hopper: 300×300 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce an inquiry we received from a customer stating, "We would like to install a blow disk in conjunction with the modification of the discharge section of the existing silo." The silo has a diameter of φ2000, and a vibro activator was used for discharge. However, due to certain circumstances, the customer requested to remove this discharge device and place our blow disk above it. Since the discharge diameter is φ1000 and the circumference is large, it was decided to install 8 blow disks (in practice, 4 disks will be placed in two tiers with slightly different heights). 【Case Overview】 ■ Name: Iron Oxide ■ Bulk Density: 1.2 ■ Angle of Repose: 50° ■ Adhesiveness: Yes 【Key Points of This Equipment】 ■ The elastic disk (silicone) is very important in terms of strength and durability, especially considering the risk of foreign material contamination. Our silicone disks are exceptionally strong and durable. Once you use them, you will understand! ■ Control (how to aerate?) is crucial! We provide guidance on what should be done. We also have a dedicated controller ready. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationThe customer contacted us requesting to borrow a "Broady Disk Mini" because the crushed material was getting stuck in the hopper. Since the hopper in question was a small rectangular hopper, we prepared and sent four units of the Broady Disk Mini "BD-08S type" for the customer to try out. There was a viewing window on one side of the hopper, so after installing one Broady Disk Mini on each of the two opposing sides of the remaining three sides and testing it, it was concluded that while there was an effect, it would be even better to install one on the last side as well. As a result, a total of three units were adopted, and the outcome was very favorable. 【Case Summary】 ■ Subject: Olefin-based thermoplastic elastomer crushed material (2mm to powder) ■ Hopper: Approximately 200×300 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
