0405 No knockers and aeration issues, solved with this equipment!

Not only in this case, but most users are improving powder discharge using this device alone!

This is a case study of our adoption by an industrial waste disposal contractor. In a quicklime silo, compressed air is being pulsed through several 1/4 air nozzles as a bridge prevention measure, but bridging continues to occur. Even after installing air knockers in addition to the air nozzles, the issue was not resolved, leading them to contact us. When introducing our product, they considered using it alongside the already installed air knockers, but after operating solely with the blow discs for a certain period, they informed us that no bridging had occurred with just this solution. [Overview] ■ Silo diameter: Approximately 3000φ ■ Discharge section: 200φ ■ Target material: Quicklime ■ Equipment control: Controlled by a controller with 6 built-in solenoid valves, sequentially turning on 12 blow discs in pairs with a time delay. * For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. * Our website features numerous implementation examples, which can be checked via the link below.

0404 Measures against rat holes in catalyst raw materials

A case where Brodisk was adopted repeatedly for the expansion of the line.

This is a repeat project that we have been hired for. This project was previously adopted a few years ago, and we received feedback from the user that "extremely good results were obtained." This time, we are being hired again for the expansion of a similar line. In this case, we were informed about the properties of the material measured with a powder tester. We would appreciate it if you could provide such data, but even if only the material sample and hopper diagram are provided, we can inform the customer about the optimal arrangement of our equipment based on that information. Please feel free to contact us. [Overview] ■ Trouble Situation - Rat hole in an 1800φ conical hopper - Discharge diameter is 200A, with a typical rat hole forming directly above the discharge section. ■ Material - Name: Confidential (catalyst raw material) - Particle size: Several micrometers - Angle of repose: Approximately 50° - Bulk density: Loose approximately 0.3 / Dense approximately 0.6 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. *We have many examples published on our website. 0403 Bridge measures for crushed resin tube products

Case study of adopting Brody Disk Mini for bridge measures in resin tube crushing products.

This is a case where a resin product manufacturer adopted the Brody Disk Mini. They consulted us early on because the target material was bridging inside the hopper during mass production trials, and they wanted to resolve this issue quickly. Considering the user's thoughts, we installed four Brody Disk Minis. The price difference between using two Brody Disk Minis with a controller and using four Brody Disk Minis with a controller is not significant. Given the potential for bridging with other materials that may have poor flow in the future, they decided it would be best to ensure a thorough solution from the start. Since this equipment is economical, I believe such a decision is reasonable. 【Overview】 ■ Hopper: 200mm diameter cone (discharge part is 50mm) ■ Material: Resin tube crushed product (2mm pass) … looks fluffy * For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. * Our website features numerous examples of implementations. 0402 First, visit our company for your loan request (resin recycled material).

Frequent bridge failures occur, so I want to resolve this as soon as possible! Case study of Brodisk Mini adoption.

This is a case we received a call about from a company in Osaka that is engaged in plastic molding. Despite having a very tight deadline for a large order of a new product, they expressed a desire to resolve frequent bridging issues as soon as possible. They brought a sample of the material that was bridging, and upon inspection, it was a type of material we are quite familiar with, so we had no particular concerns. We guided them on the placement of the blow disc and provided the necessary quantity on the spot. We received a report that it was installed the same day and the results were good, and at the same time, they placed an order for the equipment and controller. [Overview] ■ Hopper Overview: Suction transport hopper approximately 200φ ■ Target Material: Plastic recycled material (pellets + powder... with a relatively high amount of powder) * For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. * Our website features numerous case studies. 0401 Improvement measures for existing users (calcium hydroxide)

After the implementation of the improvement measures, we have received feedback that there are no longer any rat holes at all!

This is a case inquiry from a user who has already installed a Brodisk. Although they purchased and installed the Brodisk as a measure against rat holes, they consulted us because they observed that the rat holes had not been resolved upon visual inspection of the inside of the hopper during maintenance. As a countermeasure, we advised them to increase the number of Brodisk installations, reconsider the placement, use a controller with four solenoid valves, and review the air piping (such as tube diameter conditions), which they implemented. After implementing this improvement plan, the user reported that there were no rat holes at all. [Overview of Usage Conditions] (Placement overview and control after improvement) ■ Hopper dimensions: 1500×1500 ■ Approximate dimensions of hopper discharge area: 300×300 ■ Placement overview: 2 units on one side, totaling 8 units installed ■ Control: Air is turned on sequentially in pairs with a time delay using a controller that incorporates four solenoid valves. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. *Our website features numerous implementation examples, which can be checked via the link below.

0400 Bridge measures at the extruder hopper

An example of adopting a blow disk as a countermeasure for bridging of crushed material in the hopper of an extruder.

We would like to introduce a case where a Bro-Disk Mini was delivered to a facility primarily engaged in the production of food containers and packaging sheets. The delivery was made as a countermeasure for the bridging issue caused by the crushed material "pellets + powder" in the hopper of the extruder. Initially, the customer requested a loan of the equipment for effectiveness verification, so we sent the necessary quantity. After discussing the arrangement for various hoppers, we proceeded with the testing, and the results were all favorable and well-received. In this case, due to the gentle slope of the hopper, we installed two units near the discharge area and four units above it. 【Overview】 ■ Hopper diameter: 400φ ■ Discharge diameter: 80φ ■ Number of units installed: 6 Bro-Disk Minis ■ Control: Since the air consumption per unit is low, we control all six units to turn ON and OFF simultaneously using a controller with one built-in solenoid valve. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. *Our website features numerous implementation examples, which can be accessed via the link below.

0399 Air aeration of fly ash storage tank

Aeration for fly ash storage tanks at waste treatment plants! Case study of using blow discs.

We would like to introduce a case where our aeration system was adopted for a fly ash storage tank at a waste treatment plant. It seems that previously, a number of conventional aerators were used, but in recent years, after considering various trouble countermeasures, they decided to adopt the blow disc. However, there were concerns regarding the operating temperature. In this case, the condition was 130°C, but there are no issues at this temperature. We also have a track record of use at much higher temperatures. Please feel free to consult us. This case has been in operation for a certain period after adoption, and there have been no problems with the equipment (no occurrences of bridging, etc.). 【Overview of Conditions】 ■ Silo Diameter: 2400φ ■ Storage Capacity: Approximately 10m³ ■ Material Name: Fly Ash ■ Material Specific Gravity: 0.3 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. *Our website features numerous implementation examples. 0397 Prevention of bridge formation of dust containing glass fibers

Prevention of dust containing glass fibers! An example of applying a blow disk to the hopper section of a dust collector.

This is a case where a blow disk was adopted for application to new equipment. The application location is the dust collector hopper section. Since the blow disk injects air along the inner surface of the hopper, it is generally the case that the effectiveness does not change significantly even if the installation position is slightly off. The key point this time is that due to the properties of the target material, the air pressure used is high, the air ON time is short, and air aeration is performed in a pulsed manner. [Overview] ■ Hopper approximate dimensions: 2000×2000 (discharge section 200×200) ■ Blow disk arrangement - 3 units per 4 sides, with 1 unit on the lower level and 2 units on the upper level per side (However, only 2 units are installed on one side due to the inspection port) - Both lower and upper levels are positioned quite low, near the discharge port * For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. * Our website features numerous implementation examples. Resolving the bridge of resin powder (water-added)

An example of installing a Brody disk to solve the problem of the bridge phenomenon occurring when water is added to resin powder.

This is an example we received from a manufacturer of labor-saving machinery. We were consulted because "the customer (in the chemical industry) started adding water to resin powder, and a bridging phenomenon that had not occurred before began to happen in the delivered equipment." The key point this time is that while the flowability of the resin powder before water addition is relatively good, the angle of repose increases due to the addition of water, and there is a possibility of increasing the amount of water added in the future. In this case, considering that the discharge diameter of the hopper is somewhat small at 100A and the worsening of the angle of repose due to increased water addition, we added four mini blow discs (BD-08) just above the 100A discharge section in addition to the four previously mentioned blow discs. After implementation, we followed up and there have been no troubles; it is operating smoothly. 【Overview】 ■ Product Name: Resin Powder ■ Particle Size: 10 to 1000 μm ■ Hopper Shape: Cone 1000φ ■ Discharge Diameter: 100A *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us. *Our website features many examples of implementations. 0395 For nitrogen purging to prevent oxidation of granular fuel

A case where a blow disc was installed at the bottom of a cylindrical tank.

This is an example of adoption that differs from the purpose of eliminating bridges and rat holes. The contents consist of fuel particles approximately a few millimeters in size, and it is necessary to perform nitrogen gas purging to prevent heat generation due to oxidation. Therefore, we decided to adopt a blow disk with the expectation that the gas would be evenly distributed within the tank. Although there was a basic preference for continuous gas purging, maintaining a constant gas flow would result in a significant consumption of gas. On the other hand, reducing the purging pressure was considered detrimental to gas diffusion, so we recommended intermittent operation with four blow disks. It has been operating smoothly without any particular troubles. 【Overview】 ■ Tank diameter: 2500φ ■ Number of blow disks installed: 12 * For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. * Our website features numerous implementation examples, which can be checked via the link below.

0394 Biomass-related: Measures for bridging rice husks

Case of adopting a brodie disk for bridge measures against rice husks.

This is a project that we received contact about from an overseas representative of a machinery manufacturer. They are concerned about the bridge formed by the rice husks, which are the fuel for the biomass boiler, and they anticipate switching to other fuels in the future. They expressed a desire to install a broaching disk in line with upcoming construction plans. We received photos and a hopper diagram, and based on past experience, we provided a layout proposal for the equipment. We then promptly sent the products via international courier. 【Installation Overview】 ■ Hopper dimensions: approximately 3000×2500 ■ Discharge section dimensions: approximately 300×300 ■ Layout: (per side) 1 unit on the lower level, 2 units on the middle level, 3 units on the upper level * For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us. * Our website features numerous implementation examples. 0392 Solving rat holes in acrylic resin powder

An example of installing a blow disk to solve the rat hole in the supply hopper of the extruder.

We would like to introduce an example delivered to a resin product manufacturer. We received a consultation regarding the material inside the supply hopper of the extruder, which was forming a rat hole shape. While the installation of a vibrator was considered, based on the customer's experience, it was determined that it would "tighten even more," leading to the decision to install our equipment. As a result, by installing a total of four Brody Disk Minis at different heights (two each), the rat hole phenomenon was resolved immediately. 0388 Attached to the raw material hopper of the vacuum conveyor.

A blow disk is installed here as a countermeasure against clogging due to the small discharge diameter of the lower part of the transfer hopper.

This is an example introduced as a countermeasure for clogging at the source hopper of a vacuum conveying device. Since it is a suction-type transport device, the discharge diameter at the bottom of the source hopper is small, which is where the clogging countermeasure is implemented. The hopper has a gentle slope, and there are several materials with poor fluidity, so a standard type blow disk was placed above the mini blow disk. 【Overview】 ■ Diameter: Approximately 500φ ■ Discharge diameter: 2S ■ Hopper apex angle: 90° ■ Target material: Fine powder related to pharmaceuticals (details unknown, with several other materials as well) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. *Our website features numerous examples of implementations. Installation of iron oxide hopper scale 0387

An example of installing a brodie disk to solve a problem with a bridge that occurred in the hopper section.

We delivered to a glass manufacturing facility. Regarding the hopper scale's screw feeder hopper section, we received inquiries stating, "Is it because the slope of this section is gentle? The discharge is unstable." The slope of the bulk bag receiving hopper was sufficient, but a bridge was occurring in the screw feeder's hopper section. The countermeasure involved installing standard blow discs on the problematic hopper section (slope surface). Since it is a relatively small hopper, they are placed at the center of each surface. [Overview] <Screw Feeder Hopper> - Approximately 450×450 (two sloped sides, two vertical sides) <Target Material> - Iron oxide powder *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. *We have many implementation examples posted on our company website. Elimination of the bridge at the upper part of the corn valve.

Responding to the request to reduce the amount of air used! Case study on the introduction of the blow disk.

This is a case that was consulted by the equipment manager of a chemical company. It was reported that during the air transport of ceramic-based fine powder and when packaging with a packer, a bridge was forming at the top of the cone valve. Upon reviewing the material sample, it was found to be quite fine and had no flowability at all. Therefore, we recommended the installation of four Broady Disk Minis (BD-08), which they adopted. After the installation of this equipment, we received feedback that the bridging phenomenon was resolved. 【Product Specifications】 ■ Broady Disk Mini: BD-08S-B, 4 units * For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us. * Our website features numerous case studies. 0365 Delivered to the feed factory.

Introduction of a case where 12 Brodisk standard types were installed.

We have delivered BroaDisk to a feed factory for pig farming. In the case of a silo with a capacity of about 50 tons, there were concerns about bridging, and measures against bridging were implemented using foreign-made equipment. However, it seems there were many failures and troubles, which led to the adoption of our equipment. Since then, it has been operating well, and we have received numerous repeat orders. In this case, we installed 12 standard BroaDisks (BD-15) and used a controller with 6 built-in solenoid valves to sequentially turn on air to 6 locations, with 2 BroaDisks at each location. 【Product Specifications】 ■ BroaDisk: BD-15S-W 12 units ■ Controller: C-SV6 1 unit * For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. * Our website features numerous case studies.
