Magnetic proximity switch, N pole/S pole, individual 2 outputs, waterproof, IP-67.

Magnetic switch (magnetic sensor) using our unique element, different from reed switches, Hall elements, and MR elements, identifies and outputs the N pole and S pole.

There are various detection elements such as reed switches, Hall elements, MR elements, and TMR elements, but our company utilizes a unique "saturable coil" for sensing. Since the outputs are generated individually for the N and S poles, the range of applications expands depending on the combination of magnets used. By selecting the appropriate magnets, the detection distance can be extended to over 100mm. It can detect magnets underground. Depending on the application, it can also sense within the soil of golf courses, baseball fields, and various sports venues. For example, if the S pole is detected for positioning, it can decelerate, and if the N pole is detected, it can stop. Normally, it operates under N pole control, and if the S pole is detected, it can perform an unconditional emergency stop with a single switch. By using N and S magnets on tags, binary codes can be created, which can also be utilized for sorting tasks. Since it detects the magnetic field generated by the magnets, it is not affected by dirt or dust. Sample lending is available. Magnet polarity discrimination, non-contact detection, from manufacturing lines to inspection jigs, it can be used in various situations. Custom options, such as a fully submerged type, are also available while maintaining the electrical specifications.

[Case Study] Chain Breakage of Conveying Conveyor

Frequent cutting troubles with the chains used in the conveyor for transportation. Here is an example of the introduction of a magnetic proximity switch!

At a wood processing manufacturer, there were frequent troubles with the conveyor for transporting "particle boards (3×6 feet × 80 sheets/1 lot)." There were requests such as, "The conveyor's top chain reaches its material lifespan at 1,650 rotations, so we want to replace it before then," and "We want a sensor that can reliably count so that we can ensure it is worn out by 1,650 rotations." Therefore, we installed the magnetic proximity switch "DW-350" made by Makome Research Institute under the conveyor and attached the magnetic body "SMG-100N" to the top chain. As a result of the improvement, by installing the "DW-350," we were able to manage the count of the top chain, transitioning from reactive maintenance to preventive maintenance. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Verification of Stirring Operation for Pharmaceutical Mixing Machine

Installed a magnetic proximity switch and achieved zero troubles! Here’s a case study demonstrating reliable monitoring!

We have been using a stirrer for drug formulation, and until now, we managed the mixing process by timing it with the stirrer's button. Although we adjust the stirring time based on seasonal conditions, managing it by time means that any malfunction could lead to insufficient mixing and result in product defects. There have been requests such as "I want to monitor whether the stirrer is definitely running" and "I want to manage the stirrer's rotation speed and shorten the changeover time." We installed the magnetic proximity switch "DW-100" manufactured by Makome Research Institute on the stirrer, placing the "DW-100" next to the stirrer shaft, and affixing the magnetic bodies "SMG-100N" and "SMG-100S" around the shaft. As a result of this improvement, by installing the "DW-100," we can now manage the count of the stirrer, making the changeover process smoother. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Magnetic Sensor Magnetic Switch Proximity Switch

We propose what can be done with a magnetic sensor. There is a reassuring 3-year warranty for natural failures. Please consult us about waterproofing and explosion-proofing as well.

■ It uses an optical sensor, but it requires regular cleaning, which is a hassle. ■ It uses a mechanical switch, but due to the high number of operations, the replacement frequency is high. ■ I want to detect from a bit further away. ■ I want to detect through obstacles (non-magnetic materials). There are environments suitable for magnetic sensors. Furthermore, magnets have N-pole and S-pole polarities. In general proximity sensors, only ON/OFF signals can be extracted, but with magnetic sensors, N-pole and S-pole signals can be extracted individually. Depending on the idea, it is possible to implement both hardware and programming. As application examples: ◎ Deceleration (N-pole) / Stop (S-pole) ◎ Stop (N-pole) / Emergency Stop (S-pole) ◎ Addition (N-pole) / Subtraction (S-pole) It can also be used to utilize address codes as three-value codes. Why not switch to maintenance-free Makome sensors? *For more details, please download the PDF or contact us.*

What is a magnetic sensor? Things that can be done with magnetism: magnets, non-contact, detection.

There is a suitable place for each type of sensor. We propose what can be done with a magnetic sensor. There is a reassuring 3-year warranty for natural failures.

■ It uses an optical sensor, but it requires regular cleaning, which is a hassle. ■ The optical sensor cannot be used in environments where dust and mist are constantly present. ■ It uses a mechanical switch, but due to the high number of operations, it needs to be replaced frequently. ■ I want to avoid mechanical switches for waterproofing reasons. ■ I want to detect from a bit further away; detection over 100mm is possible. ■ I want to detect through obstacles (as long as they are non-magnetic materials, there is no problem). ■ Detection is not possible due to freezing or condensation. Are you facing any of these issues? There are environments suitable for magnetic sensors. Additionally, magnets have N-pole and S-pole polarities. While general proximity switches can only output ON/OFF signals, magnetic sensors can individually output signals for N-pole and S-pole. With some creativity, hardware and programming are also possible. For example, you can use it for deceleration (N-pole), stop (S-pole), stop (N-pole), emergency stop (S-pole), and you can also use address codes as a ternary code. Completely non-contact. Would you like to switch to a maintenance-free, long-lasting Makome sensor? Length measurement, rotational measurement, direction of movement detection.
