Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) is a standard technology that provides time-sensitive messaging over standard Ethernet, defined in the IEEE 802.1Q specification, and holds innovative potential for the communication backbone in next-generation military embedded systems. Before this specification was introduced, standard Ethernet did not have clear functions at Layer 2, so non-standard Ethernet technologies were used to achieve time-sensitive communication. With TSN, it becomes possible to transmit time-critical application data traffic over Ethernet with bridge connections shared among various applications with different Quality of Service (QoS) requirements. TSN enables guaranteed data transmission with limited low latency, low latency variation, and extremely low data loss. Therefore, it can meet many requirements for military applications based on the Data Distribution Service (DDS) standard.

The XMC series is an 8-channel synchro/resolver/LVDT/RVDT input card manufactured in an AS9100D certified facility and compliant with the VITA 42.3 PCIe for XMC specification. The eight input channels can be configured as single-speed synchro/resolver/LVDT/RVDT inputs. The four-channel multi-speed synchro/resolver functionality can be achieved using adjacent input pairs with multi-speed ratios ranging from 2 to 255. Our converters provide excellent tracking regardless of speed or acceleration. Each channel can accept a wide range of reference frequencies for either synchro or resolver inputs. Onboard synthesized references are implemented per channel, allowing for multiple simultaneous reference frequencies and automatic phase correction per channel, resulting in outstanding tracking characteristics. The data output per channel includes angle and speed, as well as diagnostic fault outputs (reference loss, signal loss, accuracy error, angle step error).

It accepts natural binary angle data of 16, 14, 12, or 10 bits (unsigned integers) and converts it into a three-wire synchro or four-wire resolver data format with up to 2 arc minutes of accuracy. All of these synchro and resolver converters feature virtually indestructible short-circuit resistant outputs, overvoltage and transient protection, internal heat sinks, current limiting, and automatic thermal cutoff. Complete transformer isolation is provided for all reference inputs and signal outputs, eliminating ground loops and different potentials, ensuring that high-voltage transients do not affect the host systems in which they are employed.

The HSDC&HRDC series is a compact tracking synchro/resolver digital converter equipped with programmable resolution, 8/16-bit data bus control, continuous built-in self-test reporting, and a forced angle test mode, used for functional verification by command in military and industrial applications.
