The MAMBA series consists of 3.3V CMOS devices that provide a host processor and MIL-STD-1553B bus interface. Each IC includes BC, MT, and RT, allowing for simultaneous operation with any combination of 1553 functions. The HI-8597 is a 3.3V single-supply ARINC 429 line driver equipped with internal lightning protection circuitry. The internal lightning protection circuitry allows compliance with RTCA/DO-160G, Section 22 Level 3. The internal 37.5Ω resistance for each output enables direct connection to the ARINC 429 bus. Additionally, this device includes a dual-polarity voltage doubler, allowing it to operate with just four external capacitors using a single +3.3V power supply. Other features include a high-impedance output (tri-state) when both data inputs are high, enabling multiple line drivers to be connected to a common bus. The bus pin has built-in 8kV ESD input protection (HBM), while all other pins are equipped with 6kV functionality. All logic inputs are compatible with 5V or 3.3V. The Holt HI-3582A/HI-3583A is a CMOS device designed to directly interface a 16-bit parallel data bus with an ARINC 429 serial bus. Compared to the previous HI-3582/HI-3583 products, the HI-3582A/HI-3583A offers a high-speed host CPU interface. This device provides two receivers with label recognition, a 32×32 FIFO, and an analog line receiver. Up to 16 labels can be programmed for each receiver. The independent transmitter includes a 32×32 FIFO and a built-in line driver. The status of all three FIFOs can be monitored using external status pins or by polling the HI-3582A/HI-3583A status register. Other features include a programmable option for the 32nd bit to be either data or parity, and the ability to unscramble 32-bit words.

Holt's ARINC 825 (CAN) controllers come in four types. ■HI-3110 This is a standalone CAN controller with a built-in transceiver. This device provides a cost-effective solution for avionics applications compliant with the CAN 2.0B specification and can be configured to comply with both ARINC 825 and CANaerospace standards. The HI-3110 can transmit and receive standard data frames, extended data frames, and remote frames. The internal transceiver allows for direct connection to the host bus without the need for external components, minimizing board space when combined with the host's SPI. ■HI-3111 This is the digital-only version of the HI-3110. An external transceiver is required separately. ■HI-3112 This model offers an option for a CLKOUT pin instead of a SPLIT pin, which can be used as the main system clock or as a clock input for other devices in the system. ■HI-3113 This provides all options (both CLKOUT and SPLIT pins) in a very compact QFN-44 package.

The HI-8400 is an isolated 4-channel discrete-digital sensor designed to output sensor data via SPI or a parallel bus interface. The isolation provides 800V of separation between each sensor and the logic interface, making it an ideal device for systems that need to accommodate various grounds. Each input can be individually pin-configured as GND/OPEN or 28V/OPEN. The discrete input thresholds comply with Airbus ABD0100H and MIL-STD-704 specifications. This device operates with a digital power supply of 3.3V (±5%) or 5.0V (±5%) for each isolated sensor and a 28V analog power supply. When GND/OPEN mode is selected on its pin, a 1mA wetting current is supplied from the input network of each SENSE input. The wetting current helps prevent dry relay or switch contacts. The sensor output interrupt pin alerts the system to changes in the sensor input, avoiding the need for regular polling via SPI to check the status.
