Although trace amounts of hydrogen sulfide gas may not affect human health, the impact on equipment is significant. Even hydrogen sulfide gas at concentrations of a few tens of ppb can cause equipment failures due to corrosion. Hydrogen sulfide gas generated during wastewater treatment can infiltrate control equipment through pipes and cables. Low-concentration hydrogen sulfide gas floats within factories, and visualizing this invisible gas is very challenging.
