When transporting heavy objects, use a retrofitted laser distance sensor on the overhead crane to measure and control the positioning on the X/Y axis within 50-100 meters.
A system can be established to transport heavy objects over a distance of 50-100 meters using the existing overhead crane, with an additional laser distance sensor installed to place heavy objects in specific locations. By attaching laser distance sensors to the X and Y axes, positioning with an accuracy of ±1 mm becomes possible, allowing for movement to specific locations. By also installing on the Z axis, height control is achievable, significantly improving efficiency.
It operates from -40°C, making it suitable for use in cold storage.
The measurement accuracy is 1 mm, with a repeatability of 0.3 mm and a measurement speed of 250 Hz (maximum), ensuring sufficient positioning accuracy through crane motor control. The need for mechanisms to reduce slipping is eliminated, resulting in a cost-effective system.
This laser distance sensor is useful for transporting heavy objects and for use in cold storage.
