Pipe rust prevention, the Imperial Theatre introduces NMR pipe protectors.
The red rust prevention device "NMR Pipe Protector" completely prevents red rust in the air conditioning chilled and hot water pipes of the Imperial Theatre, where updating the piping is difficult, and has proven that it can extend the lifespan of the pipes until the building's lifespan.
Currently, at the Imperial Theatre, which was built 56 years ago, the "NMR Pipe Protector" was introduced in 2000 (Heisei 12) to prevent corrosion of the building's piping and to rehabilitate it, as the building reached 34 years of age. The Imperial Theatre building has its own heat source facilities for air conditioning, and the machinery room is located at the deepest point, which is the sixth basement level. Renovations and maintenance of various parts, such as water-based piping that is prone to aging, have been carried out quite frequently, but while exposed piping and equipment in the machinery room have been manageable, the buried piping could not be addressed. The effects of introducing the NMR Pipe Protector have been tremendous; this year marks 56 years since its construction, and the occurrence of red rust inside the piping has been remarkably suppressed. Additionally, there has been no leakage for the past 22 years since the installation, proving that the red rust has transformed into black rust. As a result, the NMR Pipe Protector has contributed to maintaining a comfortable theater environment at the Imperial Theatre, which symbolizes Japan's theatrical culture. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
