Development of powdered solid resol-type resin

High moisture absorption suppression, anti-agglomeration, and anti-blocking properties! Introducing a resin that reduces ammonia generation by about 1/20.

We have successfully developed a powdered resol-type phenolic resin with thermal self-curing properties that does not contain hexamine (a curing agent), which is a major cause of odor generation. The content of toxic and hazardous substances such as phenol and formaldehyde is below regulatory limits and therefore not applicable. It can be compounded with various fillers. Please feel free to contact us if you have any requests. 【Features】 ■ Powdered resol resin ■ Compared to novolac resin, ammonia generation is reduced to about 1/20 ■ High moisture absorption suppression, anti-agglomeration, and anti-blocking properties ■ Resin properties: Gel time (around 50 seconds), softening point (over 105°C), flow (around 20mm) ■ Bending strength is equivalent *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

High adhesion, heat resistance, and insulation! Powdered resol resin (pure resol)

Customizable various resins and molded products! Standard types, low monomer types, and ammonia-free types are available.

Phenolic resin is the first synthetic resin (plastic) that began to be produced industrially. The characteristics of phenolic resin include heat resistance, chemical resistance, non-melting properties, electrical insulation, and cost-effectiveness, making it superior to other synthetic resins. At Lignite Co., Ltd., we handle a type of phenolic resin (resole type) processed into powder form, known as 'Powder Resole Resin,' which is a thermosetting resin. We offer standard types (non-toxic and non-hazardous), low-monomer types, and ammonia-free types. The main applications of Powder Resole Resin include its use as a binder and molding material in industrial applications, leveraging its high adhesion, heat resistance, and insulation properties. 【Features】 ■ Due to its thermosetting nature, it maintains stability in shape and performance even in high-temperature environments. ■ Capable of withstanding harsh conditions, such as in friction materials and electrical insulation materials. ■ High adhesion and chemical resistance provide excellent compatibility with inorganic and organic materials. ■ Higher storage stability compared to liquid forms (long-term storage possible). ■ Can be freely customized by mixing with fillers or other powders. *For more details, please download the PDF or contact us.

RILSAN (Polyamide 11, PA11)

High-performance polyamide 11 made from 100% plant-derived carbon: high-performance polyamide based on PA11 (Nylon 11).

By pressing the seeds of "castor bean," which can be cultivated even in barren land where edible plants do not grow, we can obtain "castor oil." Arkema synthesizes 11-aminoundecanoic acid (PA11 monomer) by chemically processing castor oil and is the only company in the world that manufactures and sells polyamide 11 (PA11, nylon 11) under the brand name Rilsan. Rilsan has obtained the biomass mark established by the Japan Organic Resources Association and has been certified as biomass plastic by the Japan Bioplastics Association, being listed on the positive list. Rilsan (PA11) has good crystallinity, making it significantly superior in "chemical resistance," "impact resistance," and "thermal degradation resistance" compared to PA12 (nylon 12), which has similar properties. Due to the following excellent characteristics, Rilsan has been used in various applications for over 60 years: - Low density (1.03) - Abrasion resistance and scratch resistance - Wide temperature range (-40°C to 150°C) - Weather resistance - Excellent mechanical strength - Heat resistance - Flexibility - Molding processability - Chemical resistance - Low water absorption rate

KYNAR AQUATEC (PVDF-acrylic water-based emulsion)

Water-based paint binder with weather resistance equivalent to Kynar 500.

Kynar Aquatec® is a binder for high weather-resistant water-based paints that enhances adhesion to various substrates while lowering the minimum film-forming temperature by uniquely mixing acrylics with water-based emulsions of PVDF resins, making it suitable for use in room temperature drying paints. Due to the high baking temperature required, the highly weather-resistant Kynar 500® paint can only be used on metal substrates, but by using Kynar Aquatec®, it is possible to produce high weather-resistant paints for substrates with lower heat resistance or those that are difficult to paint in a factory setting.
