This is one method for cost-reduction design when using structural steel materials for canning processing frames and supports, maintaining strength through VA and VE based on specifications while preserving the same shape through sheet metal processing. The key point is to construct equivalent shapes to angles, channels, and square pipes through sheet metal bending processing. Canned structural enclosures are suitable for units that require rigidity, but when comparing with units made from equivalent shapes through sheet metal processing, the latter has advantages in terms of processing man-hours and precision. In the case of structural steel, the surface of the material is in a cast state, whereas sheet metal materials have a clean surface, providing advantages in terms of plating and painting finishes for sheet metal processing.

[Processing Example] Completed a 400mm bead drawing in 3 days using a laminated mold.

We will introduce a case where we prioritized delivery time by selecting a layered mold and were able to complete it in 3 days!

This time, we are introducing a case of a long, narrow shape measuring 430x20mm, with a bead drawing applied over a length of 400mm. The bead drawing had a width of 2.7mm and a length of 400mm, but since the dimensional tolerances other than the drawing height and the requirements for the convex part's R shape were lenient, a dedicated stacked mold was manufactured and processed. Although there were concerns about warping due to the additional bead drawing on the elongated shape, we were able to meet the warping limit condition of 0.5 max by incorporating a process to remove strain. A case that meets the constraints of no inner radius bending, no bulging on the outer side of the bend, and no deformation of holes.

This time, we are introducing a case where multiple V-bending techniques were combined to meet strict tolerance requirements. Due to the constraint of "no inner R on the bend," after V-bending with a sharp-edged mold, bottoming was performed with a dedicated mold. By adding this process, we minimized the inner R of the bend to the extreme and reduced variation in bending. This time, we would like to introduce a processing case of a product made of SUS304-H material, which has large R bends (R14.5) in two places. Due to a short delivery request, we only had one week for the production period. Since we did not have a mold for R14.5 and could not secure time for its production, we proposed processing using a sending bend. This time, we would like to introduce a case where connector pins were manufactured from blanks provided by the customer. The blanks were supplied with only elongated holes drilled. The pins were arranged in a single sheet for a total of 54 pieces, and the request was to process them into individual shapes. When cutting the pin outlines with a laser to match the elongated holes, it is important to align the centers of the elongated holes and the pin sections.
