The "non-rebreathing circuit" is a respiratory circuit used for anesthetizing small animals. The animal inhales anesthetic gas that comes through a thin fresh gas tube, and excess gas and exhaled air are expelled through a thick exhaust gas tube to activated carbon filters or draft chambers.
