Chemical-resistant coating

To protect the production equipment (substrate) that uses chemicals! Chemical-resistant coatings are very effective.

In production sites such as factories, equipment is sometimes placed in harsh environments, and it is often the case that processes proceed while using so-called chemicals (or in such an atmosphere). Our company is capable of applying surface treatments with high "chemical resistance" to protect the base of that production equipment. Coatings such as nylon and epoxy can demonstrate this chemical resistance in addition to their main performance, making the application itself very effective. [Main materials with chemical resistance] ■ Fluorine (Teflon) ■ PVC ■ PE ■ Nylon ■ Epoxy *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Non-stick coating

A resin with extremely excellent chemical resistance, heat resistance, and electrical properties! Fluororesin processing boasts a significant market share.

The so-called "non-stick" effect represented by the surface treatment of frying pans is the effect of fluoropolymer (Teflon), which is characterized by "release properties and non-stickiness." Once fluorine bonds, it transforms into a property that "does not allow other substances to stick" after formation. This can be described as the non-stick action of fluorine. Compared to other synthetic resins, it possesses unique properties, resulting in a wide range of applications. 【Examples of Characteristics】 ■ Chemical resistance ■ Electrical properties: Due to the structure of fluorine, it is non-polar, and the electrical effects on the resin surface are consistently extremely low, making its insulation resistance and breakdown strength particularly excellent among plastic resins. ■ Heat resistance: Generally boasts a wide range of heat resistance from -100 to +260°C. ※ There may be variations depending on the type of fluoropolymer. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Powder coating using powder.

Powder coating refers to the process of applying powdered paint directly onto metal using static electricity, unlike conventional liquid paints and solvent-based paints.

Features of Powder Coating Strong and Durable Coating With a single application, it can create a coating thickness of 40-150μ, which is 4-5 times thicker than solvent-based paints. The baked coating hardens to be strong, resistant to scratches, and excels in heat and oil resistance. Flexible Coating Using various types of paints such as epoxy, epoxy polyester, polyester, and nylon, it effectively prevents cracking and peeling of the coating, while also providing abrasion and impact resistance. Rich Color Selection Epoxy polyester powder coatings can accommodate as many as 6,500 different colors. There are various texture patterns available, so please feel free to inquire. Excellent Rust Resistance Compared to conventional solvent-based paints, it has 2-3 times higher weather resistance, and its thick and durable coating is also resistant to scratches. It is expected to provide long-term rust protection, making it suitable for exterior products such as guardrails and fences. Environmentally Friendly The paints used in powder coating are "solvent-free." They do not emit VOCs (volatile organic compounds), which are a cause of photochemical smog. Additionally, there is zero risk of poisoning or fire from organic solvents. It is a painting method that is friendly to both people and the natural environment.

[Case Study on Problem Solving] Prevention of Unusual Noises Caused by Stick-Slip Phenomenon Between Resin and Metal

Abolishing grease application and adopting DC2910! Examples of dry lubrication coating dry surfaces.

We would like to introduce a case of preventing abnormal noise caused by stick-slip phenomena between resin and metal in movable automotive cup holders and similar products. We were using grease lubrication to maintain low friction, but it was difficult to quantify, leading to occasional abnormal noise. Therefore, we discontinued grease application and adopted a dry lubrication coating, DC2910, which excels in low friction properties for the sliding parts on the metal side. This change not only improved reliability but also maintained rust resistance through processing on the plating. [Key Points for Problem Solving] - The trend of using resin for parts due to weight reduction is very common, not limited to this example. - Abnormal noises, such as so-called "buzzing sounds," occur due to discontinuous friction states. - To prevent this, the range of coatings with excellent low friction stability is expanding. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Problem-Solving Case] Wear Resistance Measures for Aluminum Cylinders

Coating only the inner diameter is necessary! A case where masking was performed for appearance reasons.

We would like to introduce a case that solved the issue of "the material was changed to aluminum for lightweight purposes, but the wear amount is greater than that of iron." The outer diameter could not be modified visually, so no treatment was possible. Therefore, both the inner and outer diameters remained anodized in color, ensuring wear resistance on the inner diameter. By applying the wear-resistant coating MD1900 only to the inner diameter, we improved low friction and wear resistance. The strength of aluminum was also secured with a treatment below 200°C. 【Key Points of Problem Solving】 - For areas that cannot be functionally treated with standard plating or coating, masking is performed. - In this case, masking was done for treatment due to visual reasons. - We selected the most suitable treatment from numerous surface treatment coatings, satisfying both appearance and functionality. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Problem-Solving Case] Preventing Noise Caused by Friction Between Metal and Rubber Parts

Very effective as a permanent measure! Examples of dry lubrication coating dry surfaces.

We would like to introduce a case that solved the problem of "unusual noises occurring in the movable parts of metal and rubber in automotive components." Initially, we addressed this issue with non-coated or greased solutions, but these were insufficient as a fundamental countermeasure. While some coatings were used, ensuring compliance varied depending on the material. By applying a rubber-specific coating, we were able to secure low friction across a wide range of applications, eliminating the noise. There were no issues with uneven grease application, and we selected coating part numbers that ensured compliance with rubber. [Key Points of Problem Solving] ■ Typically, grease is often used for stabilization, but due to issues with application equipment and methods, quantification can be difficult, leading to uneven application. ■ By adopting rubber-specific coatings, it is possible to modify the rubber surface itself, making it very effective as a permanent solution. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study on Problem Solving] Wear Resistance Between Molds in Resin Extrusion Molding

Achieving lubrication at high temperatures! Examples of wear-resistant coatings contributing to many fields.

We would like to introduce a case that solved the problem of "wear occurring at the sliding parts of stainless steel in high-temperature environments." The mold material is stainless steel, and since the molding temperature is around 300°C, lubricants such as grease cannot be used. Instead, wear resistance was ensured through hard chrome plating, but there was no fundamental solution to the galling of the counterpart material. Therefore, we adopted a high-temperature dry lubrication coating for the sliding parts of the molds. A large amount of molybdenum disulfide was used to form a hard film, achieving lubrication at high temperatures and preventing galling, as well as ensuring wear resistance. [Key Points of Problem Solving] - The wear-resistant coating is formed with solid lubricants such as abundant molybdenum disulfide and a hard engineering plastic. - Although the hardness is only at pencil hardness, it exhibits excellent strength against friction wear under high loads, contributing to many fields, including machine tools. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Improvement of Wear Resistance in the Mechanism of Heat Recovery System

Dramatically improve the performance of the underlying PVD coating! Case study in exhaust heat recovery systems for HV vehicles.

We would like to introduce a case that solved the problem of "wear occurring at the sliding parts of stainless steel in high-temperature environments." The sliding parts were made of SUS materials, and applying lubricants was difficult. We considered nitriding treatment and hard coatings such as DLC, but we could not achieve satisfactory results. Therefore, instead of simply applying a PVD-type film, we significantly improved the performance of the underlying PVD coating by combining it with a high-temperature dry lubrication coating that excels in initial bedding and wear resistance. Our special pretreatment ensured the adhesion of the lubrication coating on the PVD. [Key Points of Problem Solving] ■ Sliding friction between stainless steel tends to cause seizure and galling. ■ Our wear-resistant coating quickly forms an ideal sliding surface and can be applied to areas under thermal load in high-temperature environments and high-performance engines. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
