We will introduce a case where the problem of high-moisture granules bridging at the hopper outlet was resolved by installing a Brodie disk and a Brodie disk mini. Initially, you were using an overseas vibrator (air ball type), which had some effectiveness but occasionally caused bridging, leading you to contact us. First, the risk of blockage is highest just above the outlet, so we installed two Brodie disk minis in that location. It is preferable to install them close to the discharge outlet, which is why we chose the Brodie disk mini. Additionally, we installed two Brodie disks about 150mm higher along the hopper wall than the Brodie disk mini. To the facilities manufacturing functional resin products, we would like to introduce a case where our blow discs were supplied. From the user, we received an inquiry stating, "Chips of about 1-2mm are clogging at the hopper discharge section, so we installed a nozzle nearby for air aeration, but it hasn't resolved the issue." Since the material has relatively good flowability, we resolved the clogging by installing three standard blow discs 250mm above the hopper wall from the discharge section. Most cases we consult on involve materials with relatively poor flowability. This is a case where there was a large amount of retention and a long retention time in the dust collector hopper, leading to the occurrence of bridging. In the case of a dust collector hopper of approximately 2000 square units, it is common to install 8 "blow disks," but since there are cases where retention is allowed up to about 2/3 of the hopper capacity, 12 disks were installed instead. This is an example of adoption that differs from the purpose of eliminating bridges and rat holes. The contents consist of fuel particles approximately a few millimeters in size, and it is necessary to perform nitrogen gas purging to prevent heat generation due to oxidation. Therefore, we decided to adopt a blow disk with the expectation that the gas would be evenly distributed within the tank. Although there was a basic preference for continuous gas purging, maintaining a constant gas flow would result in a significant consumption of gas. On the other hand, reducing the purging pressure was considered detrimental to gas diffusion, so we recommended intermittent operation with four blow disks. 0427 Resolving accumulation in the incineration ash hopper

Air injection and vibration along the hopper's inner surface are effective! A brodie disk has been installed to eliminate the accumulation occurring at the gently sloped corners.

This is a case requested by a plant engineering company. We received an inquiry regarding a large hopper (square hopper) for incineration ash, where ash accumulates in the corners of the lower 1/3 to 1/2 of the hopper. Unlike mesh-type air relators, the blow disk injects air along the inner surface of the hopper and vibrates, making it very effective. There is no need to worry about mesh clogging.
