While inheriting a classical atmosphere, it possesses design and functionality that rival the main building.
We would like to introduce a case study of exterior construction handled by Okju.
The Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store, New Building, consists of a total of 12 floors, including 2 basement levels and 10 above ground. It inherits the classical atmosphere of the main building while boasting a design and functionality that rival it.
In particular, the decorative unit panels installed on the exterior of the top floor, which were constructed by our company, serve as a significant visual accent.
Due to the volume and construction period, we repeatedly examined the construction methods, and combined vertical aluminum louvers and horizontal aluminum spandrels into large panels during the manufacturing process. These were then suspended using a large crane, and installation was carried out from the inside, which helped shorten the construction period and reduce external scaffolding.
