Delivery Case: Transfer of Adhesive (High Viscosity Liquid)

I want to transfer the adhesive from the one-gallon can so that women can work too!

●Improvement for Women to Work We received a consultation from Company B, a major manufacturer in Aichi Prefecture, stating, "We have been lifting adhesive (in a 20-liter can) to refill it at the top of the tank, but is there a way to transfer it using a pump?" The adhesive is a high-viscosity liquid containing ethyl acetate and toluene, and since it was in an explosion-proof designated area, we proposed an air diaphragm pump of the ADD type in stainless steel (SUS) specification. Given that the viscosity of the adhesive was 12,000 CP, we selected a 25A diameter to ensure a comfortable margin. The transfer was completed without any issues. Subsequently, to reduce operational noise, we added a higher-grade silencer, and we also custom-built a mounting frame (SUS) for the pump. ●Meeting User Needs We received positive feedback from the user, stating, "It was very helpful due to the company's policy of enabling women to work." Additionally, we proposed and adopted a dedicated hose fixing device because it was dangerous for the hose to come off when inserting it into the 20-liter can. Once the adhesive transfer is completed, the next step is to transfer the next 20-liter can, so we made it possible to change the hose with minimal contact with the chemicals.

【Case Study】Small-scale Transfer of Polymer Coagulants

The viscosity is high and cannot be transferred!

● A handheld pump for drums cannot transfer high-viscosity liquids! We received an inquiry from a chemical manufacturer who wanted to transfer a polymer coagulant (diluted). After the chemical manufacturer filled three types (three compartments) of chemicals into a PE tank, the user was to transfer the coagulant from each chemical solution, as shown in the photo. They also expressed a desire to transfer the liquids simply, without large-scale equipment. Normally, a handheld pump used for drum containers would be selected for standard chemical solutions, but in this case, the high viscosity made it impossible to transfer with a regular handheld pump. ● A compact pump that can self-prime and transfer chemical liquids The SN model is an electric diaphragm type with a flow rate of 50L/min, which is sufficient for small-scale dispensing, and it can run dry. It can suck up the chemical solution down to the bottom. Additionally, the advantages of the diaphragm type include its ability to handle high viscosity and slurries, making it flexible enough to accommodate various chemical liquids that traditional handheld pumps cannot handle. It also offers a price advantage compared to handheld pumps, leading to its adoption.

【Delivery Case】Zero risk of chemical splashes

It is possible to replenish the neutralizing agent without opening the tank lid!

●Refilling without opening the tank lid Typically, the addition of neutralizing agents such as caustic soda or sulfuric acid into the chemical tank of a pH automatic neutralization device was primarily done manually or with handheld insertion pumps. In recent years, due to an increased awareness of safety, more customers have requested "keyed" tank inlets. The issue that arises is the hassle of having to "unlock" each time chemicals are refilled. To address this, H2 has installed a self-priming diaphragm pump onto a PVC tank, with the discharge side piped to the tank, allowing the suction hose to be inserted into a polycan or pail, enabling refilling simply by turning on a switch. ●No dangerous chemicals splashing around! The advantage is that dangerous chemicals can be refilled without opening the keyed inlet. There is no longer a problem of where to store the handheld pump after use. Since the discharge side is piped, the risk of the "discharge hose coming off the tank and causing a large amount of chemicals to splash around," which could be alarming with a handheld pump, has been eliminated. This is a safety measure that was previously unimaginable with conventional self-priming pumps.

[Case Study] Pouring rust preventive oil in a surface treatment factory

Powerful self-priming ability and pumping capability!

●We want to reduce the amount of rust preventive oil. We received an inquiry from N.P. Company, a major surface treatment manufacturer, asking if there is a good pump for reducing the amount of rust preventive oil. The best method for use is to draw up the rust preventive oil and spray it with a gun nozzle, so we adopted the self-priming diaphragm pump model SN. When using a general-purpose pump with a gun nozzle to flow and stop the fluid, the problems that arise are: "the internal pressure continues to rise, causing blowout troubles from the piping" and "additional equipment like pressure switches becomes necessary, leading to high costs." ●With powerful self-priming and pumping capabilities, it can be used just by hanging it on the wall. The H2 SN model has a built-in relief valve, so even with frequent ON-OFF operations using the gun nozzle, it circulates within the pump and keeps the internal pressure below a certain level. The self-priming capability of the SN model is high, and this time it was delivered as a wall-mounted set, allowing fluid transfer using the gun nozzle simply by inserting the suction hose into the rust preventive oil. There are no initial costs for construction, and the person in charge commented, "If we were to try to do the same thing, it would normally cost 3 to 5 times more than H2's proposal."

● The shape and size of solid materials are variable, and the wastewater contains mixed solvents for the recovery of suspended solids. In the wastewater treatment of a painting factory, the recovery of floating solids when two lines of wastewater mixed in the pit has been a challenge. The painting wastewater contains solvent-based components, and the suspended solids vary in shape and size. Despite such conditions, our floating solid recovery pump skimmer, the 【H-FR】, is performing excellently. ● It reliably follows water surface fluctuations and water flow. The wastewater treatment capacity is 1 ton per hour, and although there were significant fluctuations in the water surface and water flow, it is reliably transporting solids. There have been no adverse effects from the solvents, and the two units are operating alternately to continuously recover solids from the wastewater for 24 hours.

● Neutralization of strong acid in a 500×500 space A major construction machinery manufacturer consulted us, asking, "Could you create a unit for transporting AdBlue?" The construction machinery (such as cranes) is expected to be used in locations without power, and they requested that the transport unit be battery-operated. We proposed using the electric diaphragm pump model SS, which has a proven track record with urea solution, housed together with the battery and nozzle inside a box. ● Compact neutralization device for H2 1. The metering pump is used for both the injection pump and the raw water pump. By neutralizing in small amounts, we ensured reliable neutralization without leaning towards alkalinity. 2. To be installed in the pathology room, we designed the device to also accommodate the polycan of the neutralizing agent (caustic soda), while minimizing operational noise. 3. Since off-the-shelf stirring machines could not meet our needs for the neutralization tank, we manufactured our own, contributing to space-saving. 4. The simple control panel allows for easy operation. Additionally, the stirring machine can adjust its rotation speed with an inverter, enabling it to accommodate changes in processing volume.

●I want to supply water in a place without power. We received a request from a construction machinery manufacturer to "create a unit for transferring AdBlue." Construction machinery (such as cranes) is expected to be used in locations without power, and there is a request for a battery-operated transfer unit. We proposed using the electric diaphragm pump model SS, which has a proven track record with urea water, housed together with the battery and nozzle inside a box. ● Operates for 150 minutes on a full charge. This equates to approximately 3000 liters of water supply. The design ensures that the battery, gun nozzle, suction hose, and discharge hose all fit inside the box. The pump specifications allow for a transfer rate of 20L/min over a distance of 20m, and it is equipped with a heater to accommodate use in remote areas. It also serves to prevent the freezing of AdBlue. With a full charge, it can operate for 150 minutes, allowing for the transfer of approximately 3000 liters of urea water. (DC24V) Additionally, charging can be done using the included charger, which can connect to DC12V or 24V, or to a 100V outlet for charging, making it a multi-charge type.

The concentrations were each below 20%, but we proposed the JCVH type, which has high corrosion resistance due to its epoxy coating, considering both temperature and corrosion resistance. ●Cooling from 100℃ to 95℃ for transfer! The heat-resistant submersible pump JCVH type has a heat resistance temperature of 95℃, so they were satisfied with the operation of lowering the 100℃ hot water to 95℃ for use. We received feedback that they have been able to transfer without any issues after the installation.

●Is there any way to deal with the frequently breaking pump? Due to various circumstances, the drain from the jacket of the reaction vessel could not be directly laid to the drainage ditch. Instead, it was first collected in a drainage pit and then pumped out to the drainage ditch using a submersible pump. Considering the possibility of the submersible pump breaking, we were using it while flowing cooling water, but the pump frequently broke due to heat. Therefore, we considered the JCVH-40 model, which can handle temperatures up to 95°C, and it was adopted with a float specification.

A food factory in Saitama Prefecture has ordered neutralization treatment equipment for boiler drainage and wastewater treatment in the food manufacturing process. The JCVH-40-A was adopted for transferring to the neutralization tank. Since the temperature was up to 95°C, we selected the JCVH type submersible pump with a float for ease of use and heat resistance. The wastewater flows into a temporary grease trap, so it was necessary to transfer it from there to the neutralization tank. However, the JCVH type submersible pump is designed to be compact, allowing for easy installation without issues. Even when the water level is low, the float height can be finely adjusted, allowing for customizable ON-OFF range. Additionally, while the pH of the wastewater may lean towards acidic or alkaline, the JCVH is fully covered with epoxy coating, ensuring chemical resistance. We received an inquiry from a recycling-related factory in a certain location in Aomori Prefecture. The temperature of the transfer water is 80°C, while the existing pump was rated for a maximum temperature of 60°C. Therefore, we selected and delivered the heat-resistant submersible pump JCVH-40 (rated for 95°C). Although it was said that the existing pump deteriorated quickly, we received positive feedback that the operation of the JCVH model is going well. Single-screw pump "INP Series"

For liquid transfer containing semi-solid, granular, and fibrous materials! High viscosity, pulsation-free single-screw pump.

The "INP Series" is a pump (screw pump) that transports liquid by rotating a screw within a sealed casing. The wetted parts consist of a rotor, which corresponds to the male thread, and a stator, which corresponds to the female thread. The rotor rotates within the stator, generating strong suction while moving fluids containing solids toward the discharge side. The "Safe Neutralizer SPH Series" is a pH automatic neutralization device that uses safe "calcined calcium from shells," which is recognized as a food additive, as a neutralizing agent. It does not use any chemical agents and is made from granulated neutralizing agents that are uniquely calcined from natural Okhotsk scallop shells, so there is no problem if it comes into contact with hands during replenishment. In the unlikely event of a spill, the granulated form will not harm other equipment. Additionally, 1g of the neutralizing agent can yield 1L of an alkaline solution with a pH of 12 or higher.
