[Production Example] Shim for Power Transmission Devices

This is a custom shim for power transmission devices. The material is SUS304, and it has an octagonal shape with a large circular hole in the center, as well as holes near the vertices of the octagon. We set up a program on a wire electrical discharge machining machine according to the shape provided by the customer. After stacking several sheets of 0.6mm stainless steel, we performed wire cutting processing. Our company is capable of sourcing a variety of materials, not only common iron and SUS but also from amorphous products to special alloys, and we provide one-stop support from prototype processing to mass production of custom shims. Additionally, based on the data accumulated in our unique production management system, we offer products to customers at appropriate prices. [Production Example] Scraper for FA Equipment

Square shim by wire cutting

This is a scraper part for FA equipment. The material is SUS304, and the two holes in the center and the outer perimeter were manufactured using wire cutting. This scraper part has some high-precision areas, such as the gap (slit) of the scraper, based on the customer's drawings, which included specific tolerances and surface roughness. Therefore, the machining was divided into two processes: the first was rough machining with an offset left, and the second was finishing machining under the same conditions, achieving high-precision wire cutting. [Production Example] Long Square Shim for Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment

Square shim by wire cutting

This is a long rectangular shim for semiconductor manufacturing equipment. It is made of SUS304, and was produced with a full circumference cut, including a slit at the end of the long side of the shim. This long shim is thin at 0.2mm, yet has a rectangular shape of 20×80mm, which causes the workpiece to wobble when the processing fluid is sprayed. Therefore, by sandwiching the shim between thicker iron materials, we were able to eliminate the wobble during fluid injection and achieve high-precision shim processing. Square shim by wire cutting

This is a square shim for semiconductor manufacturing equipment. The material is SUS304, and it has been manufactured using precision pressing. In this shim, 144 circles (φ3.6) are formed within a 90×90mm area at a pitch of 5.5mm (±0.03), and within each circle, there are three slits of 1.5mm (±0.025) at very narrow pitches. Therefore, we have implemented measures in our molds to prevent burrs and punch chipping. [Production Example] Large Octagonal Shim for Power Transmission Device

Octagonal shim by wire cutting

This is a custom-made large octagonal shim. The material is SUS304, and it is a component used in power transmission devices. The eight holes inside this custom octagonal shim required high machining precision of ±0.01, while the larger central hole required ±0.03. To achieve this, we reduced machining vibrations by sandwiching multiple stacked blanks with thicker steel material, and we cut each hole in four stages to ensure high-precision machining. After that, we produced the outer octagonal shape in one cut, but since the outer circumference was a larger product at 150mm, we divided the starting hole for wire cutting into two and cut it in two parts.
