The DU series is a 0.4mm pitch floating connector. It achieves productization with the industry's smallest contact pitch of 0.4mm for floating connectors. When compared to our 0.5mm pitch floating connector DY series, the board space occupied is reduced by approximately 48% for the plug and about 31% for the receptacle. Despite the 0.4mm pitch, it allows for ±0.4mm movement in the XY direction, which can absorb assembly tolerance deviations in equipment. The mounting method is vertical direct connection. The contact area on the plug side has an arc shape, similar to the DY series, making it difficult to catch foreign objects. The receptacle eliminates terminal exposure on the bottom surface, preventing foreign object intrusion and allowing for pattern wiring at the contact bottom. The effective mating length of the DU series is 1.2mm, ensuring reliability during mating. The contact method is a contact cantilever type. The number of contacts can expand up to 200, compared to a maximum of 140 in the DY series. For 200 contacts, a compact design of 40.36mm in the longitudinal direction and 7.5mm in the width direction is achieved. The stack height is from 7mm. As a dust prevention measure, the receptacle side is equipped with Kapton tape for automatic mounting, sealing the mating port.

Additionally, it offers the option to choose whether or not to include positioning bosses, as well as features that ensure a suction surface during automatic mounting. The floating side connector is composed of two parts: the contact section (movable part) and the soldering section (fixed side), which are connected by contacts. When the contact section moves, a load is applied to the soldering section; however, by attaching fixing brackets to both ends of the insulator, the structure is designed to reduce this load. Compared to the conventional "XSL series," it reduces the board area occupancy by 56%. Additionally, by covering the bottom surface of the connector with resin, it allows for wiring patterns directly beneath the connector. The "XSLS series" supports ultra-fine coaxial cables with excellent transmission characteristics (AWG#42, AWG#44, AWG#46) and, being highly flexible, enables a high degree of freedom in connection layouts between circuit boards. It can also be passed through thin tubes, such as hinge parts, enhancing the user's design flexibility for circuit boards.

The "USL series" is a 0.4mm pitch crimp connector compatible with ultra-fine coaxial cables. Thanks to KEL's high level of technical expertise, this product enables the connection of ultra-fine coaxial cables through a crimping method for a consolidated connection. To minimize the loss of coaxial cable characteristics at the connector part, the product has been designed with particular consideration for transmission characteristics. By enclosing the board-side connector with a metal shell, measures against noise, improvement of product strength, and reinforcement of the ground have been achieved. This series realizes a 0.4mm pitch and maintains a mounting height of 1.0mm. Compared to KEL's already available 0.5mm pitch connectors for ultra-fine coaxial cables, the volume during connector mating has been reduced by approximately 50%, achieving significant miniaturization and contributing to the trend of lighter and more compact devices. The board-side connector is of the right-angle type, while the cable-side connector is of the straight type, with pin counts available in 20, 30, and 40 pins.

The USLS series is a stacked connection type of the "USL series" crimp connector designed for ultra-fine coaxial cables with a 0.4mm pitch. In mobile phones, the trend towards higher density circuit boards has made it increasingly difficult to mount connectors at the edges of the boards. This product ensures an effective mating length of 0.35mm and achieves a low profile with a stack height of 1.65mm. It features a structure that is resistant to misalignment, which has been a challenge for stacked mounting types. The design also excels in workability during mating. It is available in 20 and 30 contacts. A significant feature of this product is its lead-free, solderless connection with a bulk crimp type. By offering a stacked type, it can accommodate combinations of one side straight and one side right angle. Additionally, it allows for cable routing through hinges in mobile phones (φ4.0mm).

The USLS21 series is a cable connection soldering type of the "USLS series," which is a crimp connector stack connection type compatible with ultra-fine coaxial cables with a 0.4mm pitch (AWG#42). Maintaining the product size, noise countermeasures, and reliability that the USLS series is highly regarded for in a wide range of markets, particularly in imaging devices, we have developed variations that also meet the signal count and cable connection soldering requirements demanded by medical devices. The cables are compatible with ultra-fine coaxial cables like the USLS series, but the support for AWG#40/42/44/46 provides advantages due to the soldered cable connection. A total of 34 contacts are available, offering excellent workability during mating for stack connections.
