In the field of heat treatment, nitriding has been utilized for various industrial products for many years. Many companies have developed their own unique know-how regarding this treatment method, showing a wide range of applications. However, nitriding is significantly affected by rising prices, and many companies are struggling with issues such as the inability to easily change processing conditions. In this business environment, we have newly released an "automatic control device" that enables the establishment of high-efficiency nitriding conditions without compromising the quality standards of nitriding. This device features a mechanism that automatically adjusts the required quality standards through digital control, and the raw gas consumed can be linearly controlled by the controller, allowing us to maintain conventional standards with minimal gas consumption. This not only addresses the impact of rising prices but also contributes to activities that enhance our commitment to carbon neutrality. This is a method that further develops our fluidized bed technology, allowing various treatment gases to be introduced as fluidizing gases at higher temperatures, resulting in uniform heating throughout the sand and enabling heating in deep hole shapes as if it were liquid. Additionally, the introduced treatment gases are delivered close to the product surface along with the sand, where they undergo reactions such as decomposition. This allows for more uniform treatment even for shapes that are easily affected by gas flow. Furthermore, it also has the advantage of a cleaning effect as a fluidized bed, enabling the combined process of cleaning and treatment.

This allows for real-time monitoring of performance changes due to degradation from repeated use of the quenching agents, thermal decomposition, and other factors on-site. In particular, by monitoring the correlation between measured data and phenomena related to performance changes such as dimensional distortion of products, fluctuations in hardness, and deterioration of metal microstructure, it can be utilized in activities aimed at shifting from symptomatic treatment to preventive measures. Additionally, while there are many cases where quality assurance for quenching agents is established through regular replacement or replenishment, some management methods force the disposal of agents that are still in a usable state due to replacement rules. By using this equipment to monitor the correct lifecycle of quenching agents in real-time on-site, it can contribute to cost reduction through extended usage. Furthermore, in development projects, it can also be used to obtain fundamental data for selecting the most suitable quenching agents for in-house products, and in the future, it is anticipated to be used as equipment for building requirement information for heat treatment simulations during the design phase.

Among these, issues such as unpleasant odors that were previously overlooked due to tolerance have increasingly been raised as complaints from the worksite in recent years. In response to such feedback, our company has been providing agents that are closer to odorless and produce less smoke. Naturally, our quenching agents meet the basic requirements of preventing cracking in water quenching and insufficient hardening in oil quenching.
