The CO2 sensor is an important device that manages air quality inside vehicles and also detects refrigerant leaks. By maintaining appropriate CO2 levels in the cabin, it can reduce health risks for passengers and enable early detection of issues caused by refrigerant leaks. For these reasons, the introduction of CO2 sensors is becoming increasingly important for achieving a comfortable and safe in-vehicle environment. Sensirion's "SACD Series" continuously measures CO2 levels in the cabin to minimize risks associated with high CO2 concentrations. The measured CO2 concentration can be utilized not only for general estimates based on the number of passengers but also to facilitate more efficient air recirculation.
