Our company analyzes various samples in the environment (such as tap water, river water, lake water, seawater, groundwater, wastewater from factories and disposal sites, soil, fertilizers, exhaust gases, air, and waste) for the presence of PFAS and other substances. PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) is a collective term for artificially created organic fluorine compounds. They are known as "forever chemicals" because they are resistant to degradation in the environment and can persist for a long time. We can conduct a wide range of analyses not only for regulated substances like PFOS and PFOA but also for other organic fluorine compounds, including PFHxS. [Analysis Examples] - Isomer Analysis: It is known that characteristics vary depending on the manufacturing method; for example, a high proportion of branched isomers may indicate a product derived from an electrolytic process, while a high proportion of linear isomers may indicate a product derived from refining. - Carbon Number Distribution Analysis: Short-chain PFAS tend to move easily with water, while long-chain PFAS tend to remain.
