This document introduces examples of visualizing the internal state of capsules in three dimensions and obtaining elemental information data through EDX analysis of powders. In the X-ray CT analysis, it was observed that there were slight air gaps inside the capsule, and it was also visually confirmed that the particle size was not uniform, with some larger particles included. In the SEM-EDX analysis, elemental analysis was conducted on any particles contained within. At an acceleration voltage of 15 kV, carbon (C), oxygen (O), as well as calcium (Ca), chlorine (Cl), iron (Fe), phosphorus (P), and sodium (Na) were detected. Non-destructive measurement of the distance between electrodes inside batteries and defect investigation is possible.

X-ray CT allows for non-destructive observation of internal structures and dimensional measurements of products. This document presents a case study of a cylindrical lithium-ion battery (φ14mm×H50mm). X-rays were sufficiently transmitted from the outer casing to the interior electrodes, and initially, a wide-area observation was conducted to confirm the three-dimensional structure of the entire battery. Subsequently, by performing magnified observations on specific areas, we identified voids within the positive electrode, foreign substances between the positive and negative electrodes, and disturbances in the electrode layers. Additionally, measurements of the inter-electrode distance were conducted from the obtained cross-sectional images. ComscanX Performance 300-4343

Introducing the 300kV micro-focus X-ray CT system equipped with the new technology "Panorama Scan" for non-destructive testing of large samples.

We have developed the 300kV micro-focus X-ray CT device "ComscanX Performance 300-4343" equipped with the new technology "Panorama Scan." We plan to start accepting imaging service requests from August 2025. "Panorama Scan" is a shooting method that achieves wide-field imaging approximately 1.7 times that of conventional methods (Φ550mm, with an option for Φ700mm). By incorporating this new imaging method and a high-energy 300kV X-ray tube, non-destructive testing of large aluminum samples and other materials becomes possible. The highest resolution sub-micro CT system for materials research, with a compact and most sophisticated structure, for the analysis of three-dimensional structures in materials research.

The diondo dsubµ is a compact nano-focus CT device developed for the purpose of analyzing the three-dimensional structure inside materials during research and analysis processes. It can capture the finest structures of three-dimensional fiber-reinforced materials or organic materials with nano-focus resolution. ● Innovative Detector System The detector system is equipped with three different fields of view and an sCMOS camera. It scans samples with a minimum of 0.3 μm/voxel and captures a maximum measurement volume of up to 5 mm (1.4 μm/voxel scan). ● Compact Design All peripheral devices are integrated to make the system compact. ● High-Precision Mechanical System High precision is achieved by adopting a linear shaft system and an air-floating high-precision turntable.

What is environmental risk? Enriching life through the formation of a circular society!

Keywords: Environmental risk, soil, heavy metals, volatile organic compounds, machine learning, industrial by-products, pollution issues.

Many heavy metals are both essential resources for our lives and toxic substances. For example, mercury is a liquid metal used in the production of alloys. Mercury can exist as a liquid or gas at room temperature and pressure, making it easy for humans to ingest. In particular, the highly toxic methylmercury undergoes bioaccumulation and exists in high concentrations in the environment. "Environmental risk" is a field of study that evaluates both the effective use of resources necessary for industrial and agricultural purposes and the associated impacts on human health and the environment. Ignoring environmental risks in social development leads to environmental pollution and the emergence of public nuisances. Unfortunately, even today, environmental issues caused by heavy metal contamination persist in some developing countries. In my research, using "environmental risk" as a keyword, I analyze the effective utilization of industrial by-products and evaluate the mobility characteristics of new substances in the ground environment through the use of advanced technologies such as machine learning for future predictions based on statistical analysis and 3D visualization of ground environments using X-ray CT.
