Blackbody furnace body temperature reference Nightingale

The Nightingale Body Temperature Reference (BTR) black body system provides a low-cost, easy-to-operate heat source for human body temperature detection.

The Nightingale source is primarily designed to be incorporated into COVID-19 related thermal imaging temperature screening systems. The Nightingale temperature standard functions by providing a visible thermal reference area for infrared (thermal) camera systems to detect fever in individuals being tested for the coronavirus. The Nightingale BTR source features a "Set & Forget" configuration. The operator simply configures the reference source via a USB interface and saves the settings to non-volatile memory. After configuration, the black body automatically controls to the set values every time it is powered on. The status LED visually indicates that the reference is stable and ready to be used as a calibration source. The performance of the Nightingale is optimized for various absolute temperature set points and ambient conditions required by most temperature screening systems. The Nightingale BTR source complies with IEC 80601-2-59.
