[Case Study] Custom Pitch Test Tube Rack for Heat Resistance Height Testing

0.4mm coated with a nylon that is heat-resistant up to 110°C! A case that used crimped wire mesh welding.

The customer requested a coating with thickness and elasticity that would not damage the workpieces, as there are various heights and pitches for the test tubes. To respond to each pitch, we used crimped wire mesh and welded wire mesh. We cut the stainless steel plate for the wire mesh frame using laser processing and aligned the wire mesh for welding. For height adjustment, we used stainless steel round bars. In large gear processing, the usual gear cutting method results in long processing times and high costs, leading to a request for cost reduction. Therefore, we cut multiple gear shapes from a 14mm thick stainless steel plate using laser processing, and then stacked and welded those plates together. During welding, we used positioning pins to ensure that the gears were aligned accurately without any displacement, and we also welded with the key inserted into the keyway.
