[Case Study] Special Film Cutting Circular Blade <Significant Cost Reduction>

Developed a round blade for slitting special films! Very high quality was required for the cutting surface.

We would like to introduce a case study of a major chemical film manufacturing factory that implemented the "Special Film Cutting Circular Blade" from Kai Corporation. A circular blade was developed for slitting special films. This special film is thin, but very high quality was required for the cutting edge. Since the circular blade has edges sharpened on both sides all around, it is difficult to create a clean edge without chipping. After much trial and error, a high-quality circular blade with excellent sharpness was completed. The reduction in product defects led to significant cost savings. [Case Study] ■ Implementing Company: Major Chemical Film Manufacturing Factory ■ Customer's Challenge - The circular blades previously used had edges with fine chipping, resulting in product defects. *For more details, please refer to the related links or PDF materials, or feel free to contact us.

[Technical Introduction] Heat-Resistant Aluminum Alloy for Metal 3D Printers

By using aluminum alloys with added transition metals, it has been confirmed that values show 1.5 to 2.0 times higher than conventional levels!

At JAMPT, we are working on utilizing a new aluminum alloy powder for metal 3D printers in new applications through additive manufacturing, based on a patent implementation agreement. The JIS AC8A alloy is well-known as a heat-resistant aluminum alloy for casting. However, when this alloy is formed using a metal 3D printer, it does not achieve the high-temperature strength that is conventionally known. To improve this, it has been confirmed that using an alloy with added transition metals shows values 1.5 to 2.0 times higher than conventional ones. In the manufacturing process, a laser-based metal 3D printer is used, and there is no need to perform the conventional T6 treatment (510°C solution treatment ⇒ water quenching ⇒ aging). 【Chemical Composition (%)】 ■Si: 10 ■Cu: 1 ■Mg: 1 ■Ni: 1 ■Fe: 2 ■Al: bal. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Alloy "Ferro-Nickel"

Melt nickel ore at high temperatures to extract metal!

"Ferro-nickel" is a metal made from an alloy of iron and nickel. The precious resource, nickel ore, transported across the sea, is refined into ferro-nickel through the "M-Kem method," which incorporates a hot charging system that directly feeds the ore from a rotary kiln into one of the world's largest electric furnaces. It is characterized by its resistance to rust and is supplied to stainless steel manufacturers both domestically and internationally as a raw material for "stainless steel." Please feel free to contact us if you have any inquiries. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Hard face alloy "Colmonoy"

Introducing an alloy that ensures a definite increase in productivity, excelling in both wear resistance and durability.

"Colmonoy" is an extremely excellent nickel-based hard-facing alloy developed by the Wall Colmonoy Company in the United States in 1937. By adding boron and silicon to the corrosion-resistant Ni-Cr alloy, wear resistance is improved through the dispersion of hard borides and carbides. The dispersion of chromium boride is particularly notable, resulting in exceptionally high wear resistance. Gas welding of this high-hardness product requires advanced skills. Our company employs skilled workers to carry out the process under optimal temperature control. [Features] - Excellent wear resistance and durability - Improved wear resistance through the dispersion of hard borides and carbides - Extends the service life of various equipment parts - Applied through gas welding - Conducted by skilled workers under optimal temperature control *For more details, please refer to the external link page or feel free to contact us.

[Sample Presentation] Highest Purity 99.95% 'Titanium-based Powder'

For powder metallurgy materials! High-quality titanium-based powders are produced by removing fine particles. Also compatible with high purity.

Our company develops and manufactures "titanium-based powder" with low impurity and oxygen levels achieved through fine powder removal, and with uniform particle size. In particular, "titanium powder" has a titanium purity of 99.8% for standard products, and high-purity products achieve a purity of 99.95% using the hydrogenation-dehydrogenation method (HDH method). This contributes to improved true density of sintered parts and greater design flexibility of components. Additionally, we handle "hydrogenated powder" containing 4% hydrogen, and we are developing titanium-based alloy powders such as 64 alloy powder for 3D printers (electron beam type and laser beam type). ★ Samples are currently available. Please apply through the inquiry form. 【Features】 ■ Maximum titanium purity of 99.95% ■ Low impurities and minimal oxygen content ■ Stable particle size distribution ■ Developing powders for 3D printers *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Solving with titanium: I want to achieve both lightweight and strength.

Reduce manual labor! It is also used in various tools, jigs, and mixing machine parts!

Are you facing issues such as 'insufficient strength and corrosion resistance with aluminum' or 'wanting to reduce the load on auxiliary equipment'? Titanium has high strength and excellent corrosion resistance, making it widely used in next-generation transport tankers. Additionally, it is lightweight, weighing about 60% of that of iron or stainless steel. Therefore, it is used in stirring machine components for economic design of motor power and installation frames due to weight reduction, as well as in various tools and jigs to reduce manual labor. 【Common Issues】 ■ Insufficient strength and corrosion resistance with aluminum ■ Poor work efficiency due to the weight of stainless steel ■ Wanting to reduce the load on auxiliary equipment *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
