On-site utilization, basic guide to torque management

Why is torque management 'essential'? - Correct tightening procedures practiced on-site.

Leakage from gaskets in plant and factory piping flanges is a serious issue that directly leads to production stoppages, energy losses, and significant safety accidents. Remarkably, research shows that about two-thirds of all gasket-related troubles are caused by "poor installation." Among these installation issues, the overwhelming majority is due to "inadequate management of tightening force." In this article, we will thoroughly explain why "torque management" is essential for gasket sealing, covering the fundamental theory, the correct tightening procedures that can be practiced on-site starting tomorrow (in accordance with JIS B 2251), and specific examples of the three most common tightening failures (under-tightening, over-tightening, and uneven tightening) along with their countermeasures. *For detailed content of the column, please refer to the PDF. [Case Study] Detection of thread breakage in 1000D thread is now possible.

Pursuing the susceptibility of wire guides to falling! A case study of redesigning the appropriate wire shape using CAD.

We would like to introduce a case where the customization of a stopper installed on the creel of a weaving machine has increased the types of yarn that can be handled. Using the N810004-L05/R05 stopper, we previously used three types of yarn. However, when processing particularly thick and strong yarns like 1000D, there was an issue where the stopper would not operate and would fall over during yarn breakage. After two weeks of careful consideration, we re-designed the shape of the wire to make it more prone to falling over, taking into account the characteristics of the equipment and the yarns used in that specific environment. As a result, we successfully enabled the detection of yarn breakage for 1000D yarn. [Challenges] - We want to apply it to several types of yarn as the yarn changes depending on the production item. - Particularly when processing thick and strong yarns like 1000D, the stopper does not operate and falls over during yarn breakage. - The wire guide is lighter than the yarn, and even if the yarn breaks, the yarn remains taut on the wire guide. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

Driver guide (bit guide) processed with plastic resin!

Production is possible from just one piece! Due to the characteristics of the material, we will do our utmost to meet your requests regarding tolerances and distortions.

At Takimoto Giken Kogyo, we process "Driver Guides (Bit Guides)" using plastic resin. Driver Guides are used in cell-type assembly jigs. Additionally, Driver Guides (Bit Guides) for the automotive-related industrial machinery often have relatively simple shapes, allowing for production in a short lead time and at a low price point. Our company can manufacture from small lots of just one piece. We can also accommodate repeat orders starting from a single item. 【About Our Processing】 ■ General Lathe Processing (Mori Seiki) / General Milling (Makino) We use simple lathe and milling processing for items that do not require programming, such as basic lathe and milling products, as well as finishing and chamfering of processed items. ■ Material MC Nylon (Monomer Cast Nylon) is commonly used in areas where mechanical strength (impact resistance) is required, and the material itself is readily available, making it widely used. By responding to short lead times, we aim to mitigate customer risks such as missed arrangements and jig damage as much as possible. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
