Results of stability confirmation tests on the electrical property modification of composite olefin resins.

Results of stability confirmation tests for the electrical property modification of composite olefin resins.

Olefin resins, which are non-polar plastics made only from carbon and hydrogen, are represented by polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP). Both are produced in large quantities as materials through addition polymerization and are used in various molded products that benefit our daily lives. PE is adjusted for density and undergoes stretching treatment in post-processing to change its crystallinity for different applications; generally, it is soft and commonly known for low-temperature injection molded products and packaging films. In contrast, PP, with a melting point of 165°C and a density of 0.9, has high crystallinity and excellent chemical resistance. It is not only tough enough to withstand prolonged use at temperatures above 100°C under pressure but also produces a wide variety of durable products, ranging from injection molded items like large containers to extruded functional films and bags for various industries, as well as hollow molded products like bottles. Why is plastic called synthetic resin?

Why is plastic called synthetic resin? An introduction in a column!

Originally, resin refers to natural substances extracted from plants. However, artificially manufactured plastics are called synthetic resins, and products made from plastics are referred to as resin products. Why are plastics, which consist of polymer compounds that are not resins, called "synthetic resins"? It starts with addressing the issues associated with natural resins. *For more details on the column, you can view it through the related links. Please feel free to contact us for more information.*

Low viscosity laminated epoxy resin ER-2181×EH-2182

It is a low-viscosity, transparent epoxy resin for laminating. Due to its low viscosity, it is easy to apply and impregnate, and it undergoes initial curing overnight, with the cured material exhibiting heat resistance.

- The curing speed is fast, and if the temperature is above 10°C, initial curing will occur overnight (in 16 hours). - Compared to other resins, epoxy resin has better curing shrinkage, wettability, and mechanical strength. - Due to its low viscosity, application with brushes or rollers and impregnation into non-woven fabrics is easy. - By curing with heat at high temperatures, a more heat-resistant cured product can be obtained. - A transparent cured product is achieved. - It is a low yellowing type with good weather resistance. *Samples are available upon request.

Transparent casting resin ER-900×EH-10 <Sample available>

This is a transparent casting resin that can be used for resin tables and similar applications. It is resistant to discoloration from ultraviolet light and generates little heat, making it suitable for large castings.

This is a transparent casting resin that can be used for resin tables and similar applications. It is a two-component mixing type, and by mixing the main agent and hardener according to the specified ratio, it can cure without the need for special equipment. The reaction progresses slowly, resulting in low heat generation, and due to the properties of epoxy resin, it has minimal shrinkage during curing. It is designed to counteract discoloration (yellowing) due to ultraviolet light, allowing it to maintain its color for an extended period. It is easy to color, and adding a light blue tint will help maintain a beautiful color for a longer time. It is designed to have low viscosity, making stirring and degassing easy. Its ultra-low viscosity provides good degassing properties even with natural degassing. If bubbles remain, increasing the liquid temperature using methods such as a water bath can further enhance the degassing properties. Bubbles floating on the surface can be eliminated by warming them with a hairdryer or similar device. If you have a vacuum degassing machine, it should be easy to remove bubbles. If bubbles are coming from porous inclusions like wood, applying resin to the surface of the inclusions beforehand can seal them and prevent bubble formation.

High heat-resistant epoxy resin EA-2596 <Sample available upon request>

By heating and curing at high temperatures, an epoxy resin is obtained that has high heat resistance and adhesive strength, resulting in a solid material.

By curing at a high temperature (150℃), you can obtain an epoxy resin that has high heat resistance (heat distortion temperature of 145℃). The heat resistance increases up to the temperature range at which it is cured. Additionally, curing with heat also improves adhesion. If you want to minimize curing shrinkage, please allow it to cure to some extent at room temperature before proceeding with heat curing. In a 25℃ environment, the usable time is over 1 hour, allowing for ample time to work. The high viscosity makes it less likely to drip, enabling application and buildup on vertical surfaces.

[Column] Episode 3 Part 1 - Manual Embedding Machine Breaks - From 25 Minutes to 8 Minutes -

~Me, Kenma, and IMT~

One day, the heater temperature of the manual embedding machine wouldn't rise... it was broken... "I want to express my gratitude to the senior machine that was delivered before I was born. Thank you for your service." When I reported this to my boss... I was told to contact maintenance. "Really? Are we still making the senior work... please let it go!" I thought I could contact the guy from IMT... what a disappointment... Maintenance: "Unfortunately, we don't have the parts, so it's impossible." "I did it!" I made a small fist pump! My colleagues saw me and I turned red (laughs). I immediately called the guy from IMT. Actually, I had my eye on an automatic embedding machine for a while. It's called 'AgoraX.' Until now, embedding took about 25 minutes, but it solidifies in 8 minutes and comes out cool, reducing the risk of burns. Things were progressing smoothly with 'AgoraX,' but a competitor from overseas has emerged...
