We would like to introduce a case of processing crankshafts for agricultural machinery at our company. After forming the rough material and machining the center hole through cold forging, the outer diameter is roughly processed on a lathe, and then drilling and keyway processing are performed on a machining center. We request a specialized partner company for heat treatment to enhance strength and hardness. Finally, the product is completed with grinding finishes on the outer diameter and pin holes, as well as chamfering of the keyway. [Processing Example] Stub Shaft (Serration Cutting)

Introducing examples of machining components for automobile propeller shafts!

We would like to introduce a case study of stub shaft processing that we conducted. This is a component for automotive propeller shafts, with a size of L214. The maximum outer diameter of the disc part is φ85, and the outer diameter of the shaft part ranges from φ27 to φ62. After centering the hot-forged rough material, we performed rough machining of the outer diameter using a lathe, inner diameter machining of the cup part, and spline rolling processing, followed by grooving and finishing of the outer diameter. In addition to requests from customers and external environments, such as improving process capability aimed at achieving zero outflow defects and intensifying competition with overseas manufacturers, there was a demand for improving the profitability of the production line for the relevant products based on departmental profitability management within the company.
