The induction heating power supply "EASYHEAT" comes in six models ranging from 1.2kW to 10kW, achieving highly reproducible and ideal non-contact heating. The frequency range is broad, from 150kHz to 400kHz, and it features an auto-tuning function that continuously tracks the resonant frequency within the entire frequency range not only during heating but also when the heat is on. All models are designed with a convenient remote work head type, with a standard cable length of 3.5m (extendable). This allows for flexible use of installation space as the power supply and work head can be set up separately. It is equipped with a programmable heating controller that can save four types of heating recipes.

The induction heating technology by EKOHEAT contributes significantly to reducing heating energy with high power conversion efficiency and a power factor of 0.9 or higher. Induction heating, which is non-contact and does not use flames, minimizes energy waste by concentrating energy only on the area of the workpiece that needs to be heated.

By adopting high heat-resistant, low-loss SiC modules, we have simplified the water cooling circuit and reduced the required flow rate, achieving a 20% reduction in size compared to the conventional EKOHEAT series and lowering the failure rate. Additionally, we have incorporated Modbus TCP alongside the traditional RS485 and Modbus RTU, enabling high-speed communication to support Industry 4.0.

The aluminum housing is heated to 200-300°C due to the interference fit between the housing and the stator, allowing the aluminum to expand and making it easier to place the stator inside the housing. - Shrink fitting of the steel shaft inside the rotor The rotor inside the stator of the electric motor is made of laminated steel to suppress heat generation from eddy currents during operation, as it is difficult to remove the heat generated. We would like to introduce a case study of the application of induction heating in a needle manufacturing company. The manufacturing process necessary to maintain the strength of the needle is "quenching." Each needle manufacturer has its own know-how for quenching that is suitable for their specific needles, but induction heating (IH) can apply that know-how accurately and improve yield.
