At Kanto Chemical, we have been selling "cross-linked hexaaryl bisimidazole compounds" developed by Professor Jiro Abe and others at Aoyama Gakuin University. We have now conducted new molecular design and commercialized PY-1, PR-1, and PB-1, which have entirely new molecular frameworks and exhibit photochromic properties under sunlight. Unlike the previously released HABI type, this product group shows good photochromic properties under sunlight. Additionally, by suppressing the residual of the coloring agent, we aim to enhance the speed of color fading and improve the repeatability characteristics.
