Free membership registrationAt Company S, a manufacturer of foundational products, a local exhaust system had been installed for the discharge of organic solvents. However, this setup only expelled air outside, resulting in a constant negative pressure indoors. As a result, when doors were opened, outside air would enter, bringing in outdoor debris, which led to contamination of products and the production of defective items. To address this, a total heat exchanger was installed, which exchanged 70% to 80% of the heat from the exhaust air to the intake air, eliminating the decrease in heating and cooling efficiency. Additionally, airflow control dampers were installed in the supply and exhaust ducts to prevent the indoor environment from becoming negatively pressurized. 【Case Summary】 ■ Issues - The indoor environment was constantly under negative pressure. - Debris was adhering to products, resulting in defective items. ■ Results - The indoor environment became positively pressurized, eliminating defective products. - The temperature difference between the intake and exhaust air was nearly eliminated, improving heating and cooling efficiency. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationAt Company M in the metal products manufacturing industry, fumes were lingering in the welding factory, creating a poor working environment. As a result of guidance from the labor standards inspection office, the installation of local exhaust systems became necessary. Welding operations were being conducted throughout the entire factory, and due to the scattered locations, the amount of ductwork required for local exhaust systems became very large. Therefore, it was proposed to ventilate the entire factory using a push-pull method. However, calculating the airflow was challenging, and there was a possibility of failure. In this construction project, fans were installed for both the push and pull systems. However, the airflow of the push-pull system could be disrupted by crosswinds entering during the opening and closing of shutters. This issue was resolved by creating partitions with vinyl curtains. [Case Study] <Results> ■ Ventilation within the factory was achieved, improving the working environment. ■ A notification of the installation of the equipment was submitted to the labor standards inspection office, and approval was obtained. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationAt Company S, a cardboard manufacturing manufacturer, we received a consultation regarding the issue that during the winter, the steel framework inside the factory condenses due to the large amount of steam used by the machines (corrugating machines), causing water droplets to fall on the products and resulting in defective items. To address this, we decided to block the steam source with vinyl curtains and perform localized exhaust of the steam within that area. Specifically, we enclosed the surroundings and the top of the machine (corrugating machine) with a vinyl curtain that is 3 meters high and 85 meters long, and added three roof fans for exhaust. As a result, the costs were reduced to about one-third compared to simply adding roof fans. [Case Study] <Results> ■ Condensation was eliminated, preventing water droplets from falling on the products, which reduced the occurrence of defects. ■ We were able to significantly reduce construction costs. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Therefore, dust collection was implemented during the process of making wooden products. Although the material transitioned from wood to carbon, dust collection continued for carbon as well. Eventually, they began producing golf clubs and snowboards, which generated dust and organic solvents, creating a need for dust collection, leading to the installation of dust collection equipment. As a result, the effectiveness of dust collection for wood shavings and organic solvents generated from paint during the process was enhanced. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationThe heavy industry manufacturer M faced the issue of large amounts of dust being released when loading wood chips, which serve as fuel for thermal power generation, from truck dumpers into the equipment. Therefore, we analyzed the mechanism of dust dispersion. As a result, the dust dispersion was significantly improved compared to before, and the collected dust automatically returns from the dust collector to the equipment, eliminating the need for waste collection work and reducing maintenance burden to zero. Since all processes from meetings, design, manufacturing, construction, to inspection were handled by our company, there were no unnecessary expenses, allowing us to stay within budget. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationCompany S, which manufactures precision machined parts, produces sewing machine parts and precision machined components, with most of the manufacturing process involving manual polishing. Due to the highly adhesive dust, there was a problem with filters becoming clogged quickly. When highly adhesive dust adheres to the filter, it becomes difficult to remove it with pulses or other methods. Therefore, before collecting the adhesive dust, lime is introduced to create a thin film on the filter for dust collection. This allows for the easy removal of the adhered dust. As a result, the current frequency of lime application is twice a day, in the morning and afternoon, and this process has eliminated filter clogging. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationAt Company K, a large parts manufacturing business, there are processes in the production of products that involve grinding and buffing large parts. During these processes, the scattered grinding dust adheres to other equipment, causing wear on moving parts, impairing precision components, and leading to various issues including health hazards. Due to the large size of the processed parts and the expansive work area, it was difficult to propose improvements with local exhaust systems. However, resolving the issue of product precision was urgent. Therefore, a total heat exchanger was installed to exchange 70% to 80% of the heat from the exhaust air to the intake air, eliminating the decrease in heating and cooling. Additionally, airflow adjustment dampers were installed in the supply and exhaust ducts to prevent the indoor area from becoming negatively pressurized. As a result, dust in the work area, as well as dust scattering to surrounding equipment, was eliminated, successfully keeping the factory clean. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationThe blade manufacturing company M has about 10 quenching and tempering furnaces, which caused the factory to be in a state where the other side could not be seen due to the oil smoke. Previously, a fan was used to create airflow from behind the workers to prevent them from inhaling the oil smoke. However, when the indoor space became filled with oil smoke, the fan only ended up blowing more oil smoke into the area, rendering it ineffective. Therefore, we implemented local exhaust for the oil smoke from the quenching and tempering furnaces. An electric dust collector was installed at the discharge port of the automatic quenching furnace. Additionally, hoods were installed near the oil tank and sawdust tank used for quenching and tempering. Ultimately, electric dust collectors were introduced for the seven furnaces that produced a significant amount of oil smoke. As a result, the working environment improved, and the workers inhaled less oil smoke. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationCompany Y, which manufactures electronic components, found that no matter how many dust collectors recommended by major manufacturers were installed in their factory, the dust suction did not improve. They are constructing a new factory with the same processes, but they expressed concerns that if the new dust collectors were to perform poorly like the previous ones, it would be problematic, and they requested a solution. In response, we proposed and installed dust collectors suitable for the type of waste generated. We also suggested a waste discharge method tailored to the on-site working conditions and manufactured the dust collectors accordingly. As a result, there are no longer any issues with suction as there were before, and the cleanroom in the factory is being kept clean. Furthermore, waste discharge has become very easy, leading to significant improvements in both work time and running costs, and we have received positive feedback. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationCompany S, engaged in the processing industry, has a factory so white that work cannot be done without masks and glasses. There were 22 small dust collectors installed on the second floor, but their effectiveness was lacking. The waste collection process was also inconvenient and labor-intensive, and the dust collectors were insufficient in capacity. Additionally, complaints from nearby residents regarding noise and dust had been received, and when constructing a new factory, they expressed a desire to achieve a perfect factory hygiene environment. Therefore, we calculated the necessary dust collection capacity for all processing machines and selected and manufactured dust collectors that met the overall requirements of the factory. We designed the dust collector discharge section to allow for easy and clean waste disposal. With the enhanced dust collection power, the issue of dust scattering has been resolved. Waste disposal has significantly improved, leading to increased work efficiency. The noise from the dust collectors is below the standard level, so there have been no complaints from residents. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationAt Company F, a foundry, epoxy resin is mixed with sand mold agents to make molding easier. However, when molten metal is poured into the molds, a large amount of gas generated from the burning resin filled the factory, causing concerns. In winter, the windows and shutters are closed, trapping odors and potentially affecting the health of the workers. To address this issue, a smoke and gas dust collection system was installed in part of the factory. The smoke generated during pouring and the gas that escapes from the molds afterward, which were seen as problematic, have been significantly improved, and we have received very positive feedback. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationCompany T in the parts manufacturing industry was troubled by frequent clogging of the dust collector filters. Therefore, they installed the "Preduster" as a pre-dust collector. With the Preduster as a pre-dust collector, only fine dust reaches the bag filter, reducing filter clogging. Additionally, this method significantly reduces the risk of dust collector fires caused by sparks generated from metal grinding machines, as it minimizes the intrusion of sparks into the bag filter dust collector. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Free membership registrationCompany K, engaged in the metal cutting industry, has introduced a large number of cutting machines, resulting in insufficient dust collection. The air was constantly filled with oil mist, making it difficult to see across the room. Additionally, there were no suitable options in terms of budget or installation space. Therefore, we implemented a custom-made "mist collector" to consolidate the oil mist collection within the factory. The factory environment changed dramatically, and instead of expressions of gratitude, we received many surprised comments from the on-site employees. The company is currently using 14 of our mist collectors. Of course, each unit is custom-designed and constructed to meet specifications such as size, dust collection capacity, and duct pressure calculations, ensuring we provide what the customer needs most. Yoshida Industries is committed to addressing the concerns of those struggling with factory environments. Free membership registrationAt Company B, a chemical product manufacturing company, the existing dust collector was aging, and there was a concern about wanting to reduce maintenance (such as the frequency of cleaning and replacing filter bags and the frequency of removing buckets). They introduced a "pulse bag filter dust collector" that allows for adjustable dust removal settings. Additionally, to make it easier to detach sticky dust, they installed a wet filter and modified the dust collector body to pull out the bucket from the front instead of the side, based on the installation conditions. As a result, most of the burrs are collected by the pre-dust collector, so only fine dust reaches the bucket of the pulse bag filter. Dust leakage has been eliminated, significantly reducing maintenance efforts. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
